  1. Hi,

As the others have said, do not worry just yet ! I posted my AOS 05/31/2014 and it was received 06/02/2014. I did not receive my notification until 06/22/2014 at 11.23pm. It is a nerve wracking time I understand. I did call USCIS after 10 days because I had not received acknowledgement. I was told that it could take 30-45 days presently because of a backlog.

Good Luck with your application !

  2. Hi,

I am in Riverside, CA and recently paid $450 for full medical and vaccinations. I checked with 5 Civil Surgeons in my area and they all quoted the same. You do need this if you can not provide a vaccination record. My GP in UK provided my medical history but had no paper record on file of certain vaccinations. MMR, Hep B and C, (3 vaccinations) TB swatch (return 72 hours later) and syphilis all included with full bloods. It is a requirement of the I-485 and needs to be signed and sealed by the Civil Surgeon and sent with your AOS application.

Good luck with AOS and Congratulations !!

  3. Hi,

Posted concurrent filings of I-130 and I-485 on Friday afternoon. USPS tracking confirmed that the package had been delivered at 11.55am on this Monday 2nd June. How long does it usually take before you receive e-notification of the G-1145?? Can this take up to one week ?

I need to start taking deeper breaths and not check my cell every couple of seconds I guess !!!!

    Thank you all :-)

  4. Ha I am already scared .....

Went earlier to process my I-693. They can not do this as my passport is my ID and it is in my former name and not married name. So I do not have a SSN neither a CA Driving License as I do not have at least 30 days left before I should depart. I am only thanking god that I found this forum as there is so much conflicting info out there, especially when you have not employed the services of an Attorney, which in hindsight we should have :-(

His previous marriage, yes and no !!! He was UK citizen as is his former wife, married 20 something years. She was granted US Citizenship as her Father was American. They got citizenship in 1997. We have been in a long distance relationship for the past 4 years with many visits between US - UK. We actually met in 1984 .... teenage sweethearts, but too young to marry. Got back in touch in 2009 via fb.

Thank you all, much appreciated !!

  5. Thank you 2ndMessiah :)

No copies of his certificate unfortunately which is :content: as he usually copies / scans everything in sight! 2 house moves, job re-location and divorce and it has been mislaid somewhere along the line ! We looked into getting another $375 but it may take some time.

Fingers crossed they accept the application .... we shall enclose copy of bio-metric page of his US passport.

Thanks again for taking time

  6. It is going to take time to get his Naturalization number. Would they send a RFE for this or just refuse application?

No we were not intending to marry until Xmas this year. March, Hubby was involved in a serious car accident and made us reflect and not delay things ......

Most likely I will not receive NOA before June 2nd ..... have my I-693 Medical tomorrow!

I am English .... we worry and do not want to be illegal immigrant status.

Thank you for your prompt replies !!!

  7. Hi,
