  1. Hello Guys! Thanks be to GOD for safe arrival. I departed accra via Emirates on June 5th, 5:50pm and arrived in dubai about 5am. Then stayed another two hours transiting in Dubai and boarded another Emirates to JFK and arrived there 3:01pm. Everything was easy at Port of Entry JFK, it was closed to 10 mins and I was done. I had to board my next flight to North Carolina but was told the flight was cancelled, so they got me a hotel in NY, closer to the Airport. Had a tough time in NY, no one has time for anyone, everyone seems so busy and not willing to help you with directions. I left hotel early in the morning by 5:am to JFK to board my flight for NC by 8 am. I didn't know the right terminal where I was departing, I had to ask and people kept giving me wrong directions. When I finally found where I was departing, My flight had already left and so they scheduled me for the next one which was 5pm. I had to sit all those hours waiting and finally I got in NC by 6:48pm. It was a long journey but worth it. Presently I am loving the weather in North Carolina than NY, NY is cold.
My Green Card and Social security number will be arriving in two weeks or two and half weeks from now since I am already a week here today. My sponsor has his business here, so I started working with him the next day after I arrived. Will be looking for more jobs after my SSN arrives. I will stop here for now and I am wishing all of my colleagues a successful interview!
    God bless.

  2. My fellow mates, I will leave on Friday to the U.S. and arrive on Saturday evening. I enjoyed every moment with you guys on this forum. Thank you all for being supportive and will be here to update you guys when I arrive. I wish all of my colleagues a successful interview.

CO...everything is in order now...do not make any travel arrangements yet. Goodluck!

I was just giving GOD the Glory all through whilst I was in the embassy. I read my bible at night and jotted some scriptures then kept on reciting those verses. GOD is great! All glory and honour to him

  4. Thank you guys for contributing. We have been asking outside this forum as well he were told that as long he wasn't selected for DV 2016 it is no problem. He checked the entry status and was not selected. This is good news on his part. Thank you all.

  5. Hi everyone,

Does anyone have an idea of this, a friend of mine who was selected for DV 2015 as a single applicant and will be interviewed in a few months from now and then put in a re-entry for last year DV 2016 as a couple, is this going to affect his interview?

  6. Hi Everyone!

I had my interview in February and at the end the CO took my Police certificates and High School diploma. She gave me a blue sheet (221g) and my passport back saying they will check my high school diploma and she gave me a date to return in may with my passport and blue sheet only. I received a call from the U.S. embassy three weeks ago that my second interview date has been rescheduled from the previous date she gave me to the next day early morning hours. I believe they have done their background checkups. Does this sound like I'm going to get the visa? Praying and keeping my fingers crossed.

  7. SusieQQQ is right, I'm having similar case like you AFAIK. The lady that interviewed me took my high school diploma and said they would contact U.S embassy in my country to verify and gave me a date I should go back along with my passport. Did she give your passport back? And were you told to return on a specific date? I wish you all the best bro, do not worry a lot. She's only wanting to know the truth and your visa will be issued.

  8. Greetings Everyone,

Thanks be to God for the first phase.. I had my interview yesterday morning at the US Embassy in Accra. On my appointment letter I was scheduled for 7:30 am, I got there around 6:15 am and we were called in by 7:00am and seated in the hall after taking our appointment letters from us. It was a long process waiting. They had to interview all others before getting to us DV applicants. We were about 7-9 persons for the Diversity Visa. The first interview of others from different visa categories were very long, but when they got to us, the first guy that did his before me was like about 1-5 mins and he was successful. He was interviewed by a guy, I was the second and interviewed by a lady.

This is how the interview went,

    CO...Good Afternoon with a smile

    Me, Responded

CO....I need your four left fingers with thumb hidden here for finger print, and the right ones, then two thumbs.

CO....Your case were forwarded to Ghana from Liberia, Why?

    Me... Answered

    CO...Are you married?

    Me...Answered

CO..Have you been to any school in Ghana?

    Me...Answered.

    CO..Worked in Ghana?

    Me...Answered

CO.. how do you pay your bills in Ghana

    Me...Answered

CO..How long have you been in Ghana? and when did you leave Liberia to stayed in Ghana?

    Me...Answered

CO... Have you stayed in any other african countries apart from Liberia and Ghana?

    Me. Answered

CO..Which year did you complete High School

    Me...Answered.

As I was explaining she was typing..

right away she then handed me a blue sheet saying I am going to give you your passport and will need you to come back in May this day with your passport and only this blue sheet,... We are going to contact Liberia to verify your school documents( My Diploma and report Card)...and on the blue sheet she ticked Awaiting results of Administrative processing.

Now here is is what I did, some months back i have been writing on here about my poor results in Waec English, I registered last year and re-sat my english test on this year Jan 26th.... Results are going to be up soon the ending of this month... I took my previous waec results with me at the interview but didn't present it cause it still had failed on it and I thought by showing it could lead me to denial. Now its a miracle that I was given 3 months on AP just to verify my school docs which is genuine and before that time my WAEC results will be available with Certificate. Thanks to God and all of you on here who has been very helpful on this forum especially susieQQQ. God bless us all.

  11. Thanks to all of you for your replies. Nigeriaorbust you are right. By the way I just sat my waec English a few hours ago and was very easy since I was prepared. The results will be out in two-four weeks, Thats after my interview. I pray I wouldn't be ask during the interview or if I am asked I will tell the Co that I just sat the resitter English exam and waiting for my results. Goodluck to everyone who sitting interview next month.

  12. Hi everyone,

I'm doing a waec resitting English test this afternoon. My interview is early next month and my English test result will be up 2-4 weeks. That's going to be after my interview, I've been thinking if the co ask me for my waec results and I tell him that I've just sat the waec English test, will he put me on AP? or give me a week or so if I don't have the results at the time of the interview? Currently I'm not working nor schooling. Would that be a problem if I'm asked? I reside in ghana by the way and I'm a foreigner there. These are the only problems I have now. I have all other documents including high school diploma, report card and transcript. Thanks for your reply.

  13. Thanks to all of you for your responses. I received an email from the embassy early yesterday morning that they not reschedule initial dv interview and if I miss my interview day the process will be finished. So I will have to sit my interview with all documents required. Its my pray that everything goes well with me and all other successful dv applicants on here.

  14. Greetings to all,

Can someone please help me with this. How long does it takes when someone is asking a U.S. embassy to reschedule his/her interview date due to some reasons. I have written the U.S. embassy in accra to reschedule my interview date which is next month due to some reasons. If I can get two weeks to a month from my previous interview date would be just fine for me. Still waiting to get a reply from the embassy this week. Thanks to all members who has been helping in this forum.

  15. Susie is actually right about this. KCC is taking about 4-5 months to process DS-260, they took 5 months to process my ds-260. Kindly submit your ds-260 as soon as possible so you can be called on time. Thanks to Susie and other members on here for being such a great help to us. I'm wishing all of us success! don't forget to put God first in everything you do.
