Got the k1 visa for my fiance from England. Our wedding is 1/10/15. What can I start now on the whole process for getting her a SSN, getting her a job, getting her a drivers license and all that stuff?

Figured we'd wait on most of it til we're married and she takes my name, but want to get the ball rolling if possible.

She's here, wedding in January... Time to start researching the next steps, such as SSN, working, driving, traveling, all that. Is there a guide to all that? Please point it out to me, I can't find it.

I flew out there Wednesday the 19th,

Visa came to the door at 15:30 on the 21st,

We flew back together on the 23rd.

POE immigration officer was a nice fella, even cracked some jokes.

Over all, the whole experience was very anticlimactic...

We met in punta cana sept 2013, she came to visit me a month the later and ended up staying for 90 days. Then, I went back with her for a week and she came back with me for 90 more days. After she left in April, I went to visit her in england every month. She came here in sept for 2 weeks, then this month I've been there twice. We were very lucky to be able to see each other so much during the whole process, which made it a lot easier than expected. So, that's why it feels so anticlimactic, cuz we're always together anyways.

Weddings 1/10/15 in my parents basement. Then, in 2016 we're going back to the beach we met on for a destination wedding.

I'm so frustrated, its not funny. Every link I find says to pay the fee "on the website" but there's no wedsite link or anything on any site.

I can't figure out for the life of me how to pay this fee. Its really frustrating........ Please help.

Took a week... Website says that they won't respond unless they've had your case for 6 weeks... Surprised I got an email.

Yeah, we were ready before the embassy knew we existed. I was nervous about it all falling into line. So, I sent an email out asking to verify that they has everything and we needed nothing but to wait... Great response!

In filed in July, and the process had been really speedy(Cali office). Now were just waiting on an interview date... Every step of the process seems to slow time down drastically... The last 8 days feel like a month... What helps me is, I work for the airline and fly over to england once a month, or she comes here... Otherwise I think I'd explode with impatience...

Ds-160 and readiness form are online, everything else on the checklist you need to bring to the interview, not mail in.

As soon as I had my number I booked my medical and filed my DS160.

They won't reply to emails unless you've been waiting 6+ weeks.

The nvc received my case Fri 17-oct, got a case number Mon 20-oct. My fiance immediately scheduled her medical and had that today Fri 24th Oct... We have all our interview paperwork ready, got it all together right after noa2 (24-sept) since she was here visiting me it was real easy and convenient... Yesterday I submitted the readiness form yesterday...

If the embassy receives the medical, ds160 and readiness form before they receive my file, I'll be OK, right? Were tired of being apart and are doing everything as fast as we can... Hope its not too fast...

Anyone able to get through tothe Nvc today? I do t even get a busy signal. Just about 13 seconds of silence and it disconnects.

I work for delta, so its not very expensive for the flight, and I always book both flights at once.
