I've noticed there's usually a few days between when you submit it and when NVC shows as completed. Since the 4th was a holiday and the 5th and 6th was the weekend, that only gives about 3 business days between when you submitted it and when they see it as completed, which isn't a big difference at all. I doubt calling would do anything as they really can't change that date in the system.

Thanks Saylin. U are completly correct as I called a 2nd time and he explained it the exact same way.

  2. USCIS says they shipped my case the 20th of June. What phone number do I call? And which numbers do I ask for? I'm currently with my wife in Bolivia. We moved from Italy to Bolivia because it's cheaper to live here. I sent an email notifying NVC of the move, but received only an automated response. Should I tell them over the phone too?

603-334-0700(NVC#) You will ask for IIN(Invoice Identification Number) and Case Number.
  3. I hate that so many are still waiting. NVC is experiencing backlog due to fast approvals at USCIS. It seems to be a 30 day wait for each step. From paying AOS bill to IV bill is 30 days then from them receiving IV docs to approval is another 30+ days. Reading others timelines and dealing with USCIS has made NVC stage more bearable for me. Wishing you all speedy approvals! #GodSpeed (L)

  4. As it says in Saylins NVC Guide if you are married anywhere in the world you

Are married in the eyes of the IRS. You will have to amend your return and paper file MFS

and where the spouse SSN goes put NRA .... (None resident Alien ) The Alien spouse doesn't have to file anything.

This is one of the more popular reasons for getting a 221g and going into Administrative Processing

and having your Visa delayed and your loved one heart broken as they emerge from the interview

    with no Visa.

Or if you qualify..head of household? Correct?
  5. If you have IRS transcripts, you need no other tax documents for prior years.

If you do NOT have an IRS transcript for a particular year, you must submit a copy of the tax return (all pages), W-2s (or the equivalent proving your wage-like income), and 1099s (proving interest income from deposit accounts).

If you submitted 2011, 2012, 2013 IRS transcripts, plus your Employer letter and payment stubs verifying your current (2014) income, you are fine.
