Attention ALL K1 Visa applicants..The Texas Service center is LOADED with Morans.!!!!...I filed my K1 on 11/18/13..On 5/14/14, those Idiots kicked back my K1 for additional information..I just received their request letter..guess what they need..They want me to provide a time frame for them for when we're getting married.!!!!!!....Gee!! I don't know.!!!.. let's say 0-90 friggin days since that's that's the WHOLE IDEA of a K1 Visa.!!!!... I have had it.!!!!..now I have to send them a letter stating when & where we're getting married??? Really??? another 1-2 months DELAY now!!!!.. So, the reason for my post is this..You better make damnn sure you guys send in your application with copies of plane tickets, emails, proof you have met within past two years, any pictures need to have handwritten dates on them stating when they were taken... I did ALL that and they kick it back for a wedding date!!!..My atty is the next one to feel my wrath today.!!!..they want email from the both of you stating when & where your getting married..this has got to be the dumbest country going!!!! I pay SOOOO many taxes on my businesses & personal each year and what did I get for it?? Jethro down in Texas Service Center asking me when I'm getting married.!!!!...sorry guys, I'm going to my alternate plan from here on in..This is what we all get for trying to do the right thing.. I already told my Atty that this is WHAT I GOT for doing the right thing??!!..If The Serv. Ctr. doesn't process my app by 6/15, I'm withdrawing it entirely and going to my Plan B which I'm not disclosing here, but enough is enough.!!..I pay crazy amount of $$ each year to this gov't on my personal & business taxes and I'll be damned if I'm gonna have these Hillbillies that work in the Texas Service Center turn my life upside down because they're too damned lazy to do their job in a timely manner..They cashed my check 2 days after they filed my app..now that they have my $$, they could care less..

Going on 6 months now since we filed our K1 Visa App on 11/18/13 through the Texas Serv. Ctr..They are so damnn slow and need to hire more people..This is really uncalled for that people have to wait 6 months and more for these idiots to process paperwork that was prepared by an Immigration Atty..Everytime you call any service center, all your talking to is the front end people that are low level employees that will not tell you anything except generic responses..you need to have your atty call there and demand to talk to a dept. officer and they will give them the most up to date information available on your case..I called 6 times past two weeks and NOONE could tell me what date of filed apps they were working on..My atty called and the Dept. Officer told him the current date they are working on..this is an FYI so you guys don't keep calling those nitwits on the front line...

I think that they are just trying to by time, judging by other comments made about the service centers. Partly understaffed, partly uneducated ( about the process) and overloaded. All of the illegals got to go to the front of the line while all we "legals" got pushed back, thanks to somebody's president. You know him, the one that nobody said they voted for!

Do you have delivery confirmation that they received your petition packet?
Have they cashed the check?
Follow the money. The government is broke and always is in need of cash.

Our case ended up at TSC and EVERYONE around that time that filed at TSC was getting approved in DAYS; it wasn't just CSC filers. A lot of the fiances from around that time are already here. Meanwhile we are still waiting for NVC to recieve our case. This process is horrible, I absolutely hate it. They don't give you insight into how things work, so you have no clue what's going on and WHY some people get approved so quickly while others, like us, took 6 months for an approval. It really takes a toll on you mentally and emotionally. THE WAITING SUCKS. Some people just move quickly regardless of location, and there really isn't an explanation for it, that's just how it is

Don't worry about those who attack you ... they may not mean so ... this forum is a great place to rant / vent off the frustration ... we all feel the same ...

It took my friend 5 months before she received her approval from USCIS and it's taking more than a month for NVC. to assign a case #. You just started the process. Take a deep breath and calm down.

And not all that long ago, the people at VSC were complaining that CSC was faster. And before long it will go back the other way. Swings and roundabouts people. At just over 2 weeks, wherever you are, you are in for a wait.

You can't be serious. You got your NOA1 two weeks ago!

I received my NOA1 on May 1st, I am stressed out and I have not been waiting as long as everyone else. There is alot complaints and frustration with TSC and rightfully so. No one should have to wait that long, but you notice how quickly the checks are cashed?? Go figure!! Best wishes to all and Thank you PATFONT for the FYI.

I hear you. We filed 11/18, so I hope the information your attorney got was correct. The closer we get to the approval stage, the harder the waiting gets!!

In any other industry, if you know you're going to have a swell of customers all of a sudden? You hire extra workers. Look at tourist towns. People get hired for the summer and let go in the fall. All of retail does this at Christmas. You hire people on shortterm contracts. If someone turns out to be remarkably good, you keep them longterm. Why can't USCIS hire some extra people to deal with the massive, sudden influx?

Obama writing the laws has nothing to do with how USCIS chooses to handle these cases. It is all about prioritizing and management. If USCIS handle each case in the order in which they are received, we will all have our loved ones here eventually. Fussing and ranting is not going to make anything better. Blaming the President is not going to help either.

What REALLY burns my ### is people like myself & and my Fiancee in China have spent SO much time waiting for her K1 to get processed and people like this are playing friggin games with the Immigration process and slowing down EVERYONE elses processing times because of B.S. people like this.!!!!!..They should immediately terminate ANYTHING they have done in the PAST on your application and DEPORT him asap and ban him for life from this country...
