  1. for now, call into NVC, get a supervisor and

ask where you are in the scheduling queue,

or if you will be scheduled during the next scheduling round.

    Sorry, I mis-spoke.

Did you do EP at NVC or no?

If yes, NVC schedules the appointment.

If no, GUZ IV schedules the appointment, and they usually not schedule it fast,

    as

the casefile transits into China (4 to 5 days) then sits (per treaty) in a China Customs Warehouse for 1 to 4 months,

then GUZ IV goes out to get it,

then GUZ IV opens the casefile,

then GUZ IV sets up the next appointment in the calendar for you,

then GUZ IV gives you some notice about it.

Although 'you' are an F2-something - what about yer petitioner? Did your petitioner use Electronic Processing at NVC, or no ?

If you and your petitioner NOT do EP at NVC,

then the only visual you have is at the CEAC website,

    where you check it daily,

and you are looking for the first instance of 'administrative processing' in the status.

When that's the status, for the first time, GUZ IV has gone out to get the casefile, brought it back to the Consulate IV Unit, and has (at least) opened it.

USUALLY the appointment is made within a 30 day period after opening the casefile, for a date 20 to 45 days past the scheduling day.

    What does EP means.

    Thanks

Also we have submitted the affidavit of support form but forgot to submit my wife's tax return.

They have asked us to bring that on the interview date.

But on the tax return form my wife has wrongly mentioned her marital status as Single.

Will it create a problem or delay in visa????

    Thanks in advance
