    Here some hope for people who are getting RFE'ed from VSC

    Hi all, just a quick note to tell you that I received my I-751 approval today by mail after getting RFE'ed 3 weeks ago from VSC.

    The 10 years card should get here wittin 60 days. I've never been touched nor received email from CRIS at all this year.

    Thanks to all of you for your help and support! This forum as been a God-send...It was a very long journey for me. :thumbs:

    Too early to get Ombudsman involved?

    I am in the same situation here, I aplied to remove my condition in April 2008 and still waiting...BUT there's no reason to panic until your 1-year extension is expired...before that, you have no leverage against USCIS. My extension will expire in August 2009 so until then there's not much I can do. If I don't receive my 10-year GC by then, it will be a total of 15 months waiting (I-751 90 days window + one year extension). It's frustrating I know, but you have to play with their rules.

    You had an RFE which you have responded to so maybe you are closer than you think. From what I gather, most peple get approved shortly after their RFE. Have you applied for naturalization?

    I really hope you're right on me getting approved very soon after RFE...Crossing my fingers here. As for as naturalization, I don't know...I havent really thought about this yet. I've always been a one step at a time type of person. And I'm tired of dealing with USCIS so I might just keep my canadian status for a while :devil:

    What are my chances to get hit with an interview after a RFE?

    I just got hit by a VSC RFE last week (after aplying for I-751 11 months ago)...So what are my chance of getting an interview request now? :angry: Anyone had a simular experience?

    I would say there is a slim chance after submitting the documents that they requested.I feel your pain i really do.They could have asked for the RFE 7 months into your wait not almost at the brink of a year pending.I think it total rubbish what's going on.I pray that after you submit the documents that you case does not stay in limbo waiting Some people get approved in 2 months at CSC.Some people never have interviews, some people get approved on a waiver in 2 months. And it does not help noticing that Vermont moved on to November 2008 and you are still pending.I wish you all the best and pray hard i will pray for you.Its not even the issue of having an interview its feeling like you are being singled out and picked on by USCIS for something thats so simple.

    Yeah! I feel for you...it's getting anoying big time to deal with their freaking demands and waiting...Sometimes it makes me want to go back to my country too. But that's probably what they want, you know, they play with your mind until you want to give up. But let me tell you something; You are too close to the end to give up! you are almost there! be a little more patient and tell yourself that you are both together, you are able to work, travel and live normal lives...so what's the big deal? all this will come to an end eventualy, so like the book said; Don't sweat the small stuff! I know I'm trying not to:)

    Thanks all for your help. We will definately provide them affidavits from friends and family THIS TIME since we havent done it the first time :unsure: We will also provide up-to-date statement of all our bills, lease, tax returns etc...I hope this will make them sastisfied :angry:

    I know your feeling. I would be upset too if I've wait for 10 months, then all of a sudden a RFE. But again it could just be an "un-lucky" draw. While dealing with the emotions, stay calm and this time be as organized as possible for the evidence. I've just purchased a plastic storage box and some folders at Office Depot. Started to organized everything, different forms, originals and copies, etc. etc. All organized and ready to be used. Everyone else can do the same thing, so there won't be panic when time comes.     True, I didnt expect this RFE falling on my head at all, I thought I was done with this so I didnt save anymore evidences since a filed my I-751 in may 2008. So to all people who are filling for I-751 ,do like Jasminelily is doing and organize and save everything until you are approved.

    all I can think of sending would be a couple of affidavit from friends (letters) and some up-to-date statements from bank accounts, bill, lease and tax returns. I mean, nothing really happened in the last year...we didnt make any big purchases (house and cars). We didnt go on a trip...I've sent them plenty of pictures the first time so I cannot resend the same stuff I did the 1st time with my I-751.

    Yeppers! Imagine how those of us feel who applied in January/Febuary feel. Pardon me saying this but don't get your panties in a twist just yet. I know you are frustrated as most of us are with VSC but IMO it's not time to be super worried just yet.

    Wow insane! That's a 14-15 months waiting!?! :blink: No good at all! Please let us know when you get approved ok?
