my lawyer sent our I-130 on Aug 12. I still haven't received our NOA1 but our check was cashed on Aug 20th. Its been 2.5 weeks already :/

If check was cashed, then that is a good sign. You should be getting the hard copy soon. Did you put your lawyer's info in the G-1145 or your own? Perhaps they have already notified them.
Best,

My info was on the form when i called our lawyer he hadn't heard anything either... but i do know its a good sign
i'm just frustrated that it's already been two weeks. i've seen other couples get theirs in 5 days or less :/

i was able to add my husband to my account by speaking to the branch manager. i gave him a copy of my husband's current ID/DL card (Ivory Coast) and a copy of our marriage certificate (with translation). he gave me the paperwork for my husband to sign and email back. The manager then wrote a letter on bank letterhead stating that my husband is a joint account holder and when he enters the US he will bring his SS card and GC. it was not difficult once i explained our situation to him. never hurts to talk to a manager

I used western union money order. Can't track it online. I'm totally getting paranoid now. Hoping all the hardwork in gathering those documents won't be a frustration for my fiance & i.
Kindly keep me updated, as i'll update you with mines.
Will do

i am wondering if this falls under the humanitarian-special situations category. my husband is not in an affected country but his county is surrounded by them. Hes in Cote D'Ivoire... i'm waiting for USCIS to approve our petition and I'm going to ask for expedition. Never hurts to ask...

I had similar issues with my lawyer but in the end I am paying him for a service. There's nothing wrong with calling and getting information from your attorney, even if it means being a pain in the butt. If you paid for their service then they are obligated to fulfill their part. As i explained to my lawyer, I completely understand that I am not his only client, but a response to an inquiry, no matter how small the response is, is much better than none at all. He has secretaries in his office that can call or email me and give me an update. Its common courtesy to be acknowledged. He's been much better about responding lately. It is a painfully slow and frustrating process but in the end it will be worth it.
good luck

just an update....I still have not received my NOA1 but I did call the USCIS yesterday and i got my receipt number
...the funny thing is, my case was received Aug 15th (mailed Aug 12th) ... so i should have gotten my NOA1 a long time ago... but now that i have confirmed everything i feel better. maybe i will have it in my hands this week, who knows :/
