ok so heres the new dilemma... my husband picked up his visa last week (YAY!) but it expires on Oct 2 :/ which gives us very little time to get his ticket... our dilemma is buying the ticket one way or round trip... the travel agents in the Ivory Coast are telling him if he gets one way he can be denied entry at Istanbul (his only layover) and returned to Abidjan... while others say that we can buy the one way ticket and all will be fine. I dont mind if we get the one way ticket but my fear is if we buy it and hes denied entry and we cant get the rt ticket before his visa expires we will have to go thru all this again :/ ... the ticket prices are almost double for rt than ow thats why I want to get it right ...has any one had any issues with this or have any ideas?

actually he left his copy of the filled form with them on his original interview date, he proved its filled out, they just cant find it electrically for some reason :/

ok so here's the situation now... my husband went to his interview, they couldn't find his ds260 in their database (but we can see it in ceac) so they said they'd reschedule it when they could access it... this was last month. today he went again to take a new PC (other one had expired while we were waiting for his interview to be scheduled) and asked if they had been able to access his form, and they said no they will call him when they can. has anyone ever heard of this or experienced this? He's in Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire ... its very frustrating cuz we are at the very last step and they are dragging their butts :/ is there anything we can do at this point?

update... his interview will be rescheduled because the embassy couldnt locate his ds260 ...luckily he took the printed copy i gave him so they kept it and will look again and he needs a new pc cuz his expired but all in all the rest of our paperwork was good and they kept his passport and all other originals so i take it as good news new interview date may be as early as next week, as soon as he gets a new pc

he didnt have to go far, he lives in Abidjan. we have been ready for this interview for over month lol the wait was just agonizing... we are relieved that its finally here

After a month in embassy limbo my husband was called yesterday that his interview was scheduled for today at 1 pm i am a nervous wreck waiting for his call, he is at his interview as i write this i am so grateful to God for the patience he has taught me .... i am sooooo anxious

we are FINALLY at the end of or long journey...my husband called the Embassy and they told him they have our file and to get his medical done BY MONDAY so i'm assuming he will have an interview next week Thank you GOD!!! :D so happy

60 day wait... when the "paid" and "completed" change to n/a then u may have a case complete. call nvc to verify when this happens

If your PC doesn't expire in 3 months then u can get it but u have to take into account the time it will take to get case number and generate the invoices

I just got a text notification on our cases. When I logged in to the UISCIS page, it now says as of 02/11 our cases were shipped to the NVC!

I'm wondering if this means the NVC says wait 35 days from NOA2 date or from 'shipped' date?!?! (NOA2 date was 01/23)

ETA: Also wondering if there is a way to track the shipment from Texas to NH?! I've seen the 'trick' to checking DHL for NVC to Consulate.... hmmmm....

yay!! Congrats!! so happy for u i dont think theres a wasy to track from USCIS to NVC other than call and bug them every day lol it took about 2 weeks give or take for the NVC to tell me they got mine from Nebraska so just call until they confirm its in the building

I was recently at my local SS Office and i asked the CSR that exact same question (in anticipation of my husband's arrival) and she stated all he will need is his passport and the stamped visa. Depending on the type of visa he will get his SS card approved for work (or not) ...again it depends on the visa thats in the passport. So to answer your question, yes you have all you will need

ours took about 4 month at nebraska..from aug 17 2014 when they got it til dec 17th when it was approved.. so it also depends on the complexity of your case id think

I'm still waiting for confirmation that NVC rec'd our files from the TSC..... so that we can then start the Case # countdown.... **sigh** Patience is not one of my strong points (ya, I know... ) but I am really trying hard here.....

i hope u are calling NVC everyday for confirmation cuz if ur waiting for an email or letter u will wait an unnecessarily long time...thats what my attorney is doing and im about 10 steps ahead of him... its a pain to call everyday and hear the same tune but u will one day be surprised and get the answer u are hoping for ours noa2 was dec 17, uscis mailed it the 18th and i started calling dec 22nd. nvc received our case jan 2nd and i didnt find out til jan 5th so just hang in there...i know its frustrating and patience isnt one of my strong points either lol but it becomes routine until that one day when it changes to yes

our noa2 date was Dec 17th ...i have called everyday for the last 35 days lol they said they will mail a letter with further instructions but if u follow the Wiki here u dont have to wait for it... its going to my attorney anyways and since im the one updating him on my case i figured why wait for him lol im just anxious to get my husband home as soon as i can
