  1. Hi congrats to new approvals!!! I posted this in another forum but I prefer this thread since I been following in here a few months...

I'm confused I got text last week noa2 approved now today I get form I-797 I never hear of this form. What should I do next? It has expiry date for April 4th. Is this form mean I should call Nvc or that it's on way to Senegal consulate? I cannot grasp this timeline, perhaps due to the fact I'm in early labor right now lol. Any advice on what this means, or what I should do?

I guess it should be your NOA2 hard copy, isn't t? What does it say?

  2. after 40 continuous attempts of hanging up and redialing, we finally got our case number. . .

40 calls or you meant 4 calls? Lol. Dang, you don't give and well, you got what you wanted and congrats, one step closer now! I guess I need to call in 10 days, they just sent my case yesterday (I was surprised since I got approved tuesday), the sooner the better! Hahaha, do you mind trying to call and getting my number? Just kidding! :)

    Congrats!

  3. We filed a request on our case last week but I dont think it's related. We had also sent a letter to our congressman 3 weeks ago, never heard back. Who knows how USCIS works....

I'll keep praying for all other June filers. We might have been approved, but the memory of the painful wait is still very present

Well, I just saw this on my case history: On November 25, 2014, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1D325*********, was completed.

I definitely don't know if they accepted our request and that's why we got the approval or it was just a coincidence...They said my request was completed but it doesn't say it was accepted! And we never heard back from them in regards to it... Somehow I guess that's why we got our approval!

  4. Well, we sent pictures and the copy of my plane tickets as prove of meeting within 2 years, however, in RFE they still ask for it again.

I'm more concern about the letter of intent, i mean if they have found our pictures back( i was guessing they lost those and then found it later on?) it's fine,

but we dont have letter of intent yet, and i dont want them to think its our fault that we didnt send that back when we didnt even have a chance to send it.

why is this happening uggghhhh

I totally understand!! Maybe they just found your evidences (Pictures and plane tickets) and updated but didn't realize you had something requested in the same RFE and when they process your case they will see the letters are missing and issue a new RFE, maybe a system issue.. Idk...Anyways I would definitely call to make sure what happened and prepare everything they requested to send them (Add delivery confirmation and signature). Try to make an appointment since it can be helpful!!!

I know how much this process can get to our last nerves but your file was touched and soon enough you will have everything clear and your approval! :)

Be positive!!! All the june fillers are almost there!! :D

  5. But in RFE they also ask for "letter of intent", which we did not sent in the very first beginning,

and I'm worry that they thought we didnt sent it back.

I dont want this be the cause that i did not get NOA2 or got denied, we've been waiting for so long... :(

    Hi,

If you're really missing the documents I would say it wouldn't be possible to change the status until they receive. I would try to make an appointment at the local office and also give a call to know what's going on (Try to talk to a Tier 2). When I first read your post the first thing that came into my mind was that they received somebody's else RFE and updated to your case (Maybe a similar receipt number or something like that). I have no idea if it is possible to happen but that's what I thought!! Hope everything gets fixed soon! :)

  6. We just got APPROVED!!!!!!

OMG I can't believe it!!! I receive 5 textos from USCIS, but I thought it was the same than this morning for the website update so I didnt want to get excited!!

    After 173 days finally!!!

    Congrats!!!!

Same here and we have the same NOA1...I am SOO SURPRISED because I was expecting for a RFE: Didn't include all the pages of his passport, sent a short birth certificate, misspelled his name on the form, didn't write Marry Within 90 days and sent some stupid chat logs, we signed everything with a blank ink pen that really looked like we just scanned everything and I forgot to put the state I am from.. But somehow everything went fine.. So happy!! :)

  7. The best e-mail I could ever get:

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

    Receipt Number: SRC

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On December 9, 2014, we approved your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number SRC******. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your approval notice by January 8, 2015, please go towww.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

  8. I hope you hear something this week or next! i've been looking online and most people get an approval within 3 weeks!

One more question on the RFE letter i have a page that you need to send back. It had a box with yes there is a new G-28 or No there is not a new G-28

anyone know what that is for?

I have read that the Form G-28 assigns the attorney as your representative with USCIS... I don't know if that's exactly what it means but that's what they say here according to previous posts!!

  9. Hey, maybe it is because he didn't send the back of his certificate. I don't think you should send the original. I would send the photocopy (Back and front) and get it notarized. I also also include a note saying the back of the certificate is blank.

Maybe they lost because his birth certificate should be enough as they say! I just sent a short version of his NY birth certificate and also included the first page (Bio page) of his passport. I thought it would be enough.

  10. It's my last day at my fiancé's house and I was dancing around the kitchen thinking we were approved =(

Sorry but I couldn't stop laughing on your post and the first thing that came into my mind was USCIS telling you: Gotcha...Lol...It happened the same to me and I was at work and almost told everybody: Guys, now it's real and I am leaving y'all...Lol. Not this time but it's coming! Lol.

  11. perhaps this is the reason

but it's the time of approvals so just be patient, a week ago I lost every hope but it came finally

Yah, maybe it is the normal timeframe and just a coincidence that any of the Thai cases haven't been touched yet. I guess all june fillers will be hearing something soon and before january 100% will be finally done. I definitely don't know why they would let some applications behind on ''purpose''...I definitely don't know!

  12. Some interesting stats if you are in the first half of June. Only 22 petitions are left. That means nearly 80% of the first half of the month are done. I have an appointment at uscis at 1 45 on Thursday. I have some questions. There are 6 Thai petitions in June. Not one has gone. 79 unapproved petitions left in all of June taking out rfe's. That means 60% of June is done. If two weeks go by here, and i don't see a Thai petition off the board I think I've found my answer. The probabilities would just have gone way too high by then.

Hello, I have seen your posts before about the Thai Petitions and I was just curious to know if there's a specific reason to justify the delay of these cases. Is Thailand considered as high fraud country for immigration purpose? Otherwise I don't understand why they would do it... Thanks.

  13. June Filers,

    Keep the faith/hope

    Your brother in Christ,

    Josh

Hi Josh, thanks for the update!

I know how hard it is modeling under uncertainty!! :) There's a little thing I wanted to know and I am sure you explained before but I just didn't find exactly what I wand to know: The batches they work are based on the date, right? So it means if they had 1000 petitions one day and 100 on the other day the batches will have different amounts of cases, right? And the case workers are assigned to different batches or their focus their work in one specific batch? I kinda don't understand how they have completed (For instance) 24% of June 19th and almost 75% of cases sent later.. It is just weird they keep moving processing newer cases if they didn't finish the cases filled before! I am not sure if you know how they split the batches or something like that... It is something I always try to figure out!! But I am sure they're doing some work and we will hear something soon!! :) Thanks for your work!

  14. USCIS gave my fiance some extra questions about criminal records (violence and stuff). And they asked to fill out our petition where is "if your fiance currently in the USA..." but I am not. And arrival/departure number of I-94 form, which I do not have anymore. In airport they took away this form from me. Now we have to call them and explain that I am not in the USA.

Have you ever tried to get it online?

    https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Just add your Passport number and personal info (Sometimes they use your middle name and last name as the last name, so don't get surprised if you have two different records with one passport!).

    Hope it helps!

  15. They will send you a message to summit LONG BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM THE HOSPITAL, at least they asked us within the time periode, we had to summit it.

My fiancé doesn't even know how to get one. When he goes online to the Vital Records website from NY they don't show any other option than the standard birth certificate, which is the short version.. Well, I have sent his short version, passport bio page... I thought that when they have the background check they could make sure about the citizenship but apparently not... I will wait and see! :)

  16. Yess!! Exactly!! Tell us where you are now and not where you were 3 months ago. I got so fed up today when I talked to a representative and I told her to stop reading the material off her script and give me an honest answer.

Well, I am not surprised at all they're limited to say what they see on their computer (Exactly the same we see)!! It is not clever at all to say they're working on April 5th, exactly where they were 2 months ago. I would just ask what they have been doing in two months if the dates didn't change!

Looks like they will give us a hard time unless we reached the 6 months mark (I know some are almost there)..But again, by June (When most of us got our NOA1) the processing times were 5.9 months and later on it changed to the last petition processed date, what means they are behind their regular processing time and guess what? More than 6 months in average. Maybe I need to be more proactive and try to call and do something, but when I see everything y'all have done I feel like I am not going to waste my time and getting to my last nerve to get an answer I can check myself (My USCIS login work on my phone). I can't be wrong and should give a try, but well, I am focused on my New Years with my boo in the biggest New Years party in the planet (RIO)!!! Lol.

I guess I will chill out and wait my 6 months and keep following up on here and wishing people good luck!!! I know it is very frustrating but I don't want grey hairs and a pain in my stomach, lol. I have mixed feelings about this process and sometimes I am so calm and focused on other things (Like WORK, lol) and sometimes I go crazy and check USCIS status every other hour!!! Uff, what a journey! Now I understand the name of this website!

  17. On the site it pretty well says what she's saying. You have to wait until what they call normal processing times to expire before they will take a formal inquiry into your case. Normal processing of I-129F's for California is 5 months. Texas it's 8 months and getting even longer. Yeah April 5th is the cutoff right now for normal processing. That can or possibly will change on or about the 15th of each month. We are powerless over this whole effed up system. And they have no problem lying right to anybody's face. I'm hunkering down for a few more months of wait.

Sorry, but April 5th was the cut off as of september 30th so two months later it is still the cut off date? It doesn't make any sense to me. In my opinion they just give us the info they see on their screen, nothing more than that. They will update soon their processing times and we will now the ''new'' cut off date.

  18. I went to jamica and married woman after three months of knowing her however I felt we had an instant connection. None of my family came to the wedding because they did not approve of my marriage. She's 30 and I'm 51. Two months after marriage I when I came back to the U.S. I met someone else and started a relationship and conceived child with her (5 months after my marriage) my new partner and had a serious relationship and was ok with me still petitioning for my wife because I felt bad and wanted to help her still get visa. Currently me and my partner in the states is no longer together and I decided to have a more serious relationship with my wife visiting her more often. Will counslate know about child if I don't volunteely mention it ? What are chances for my wife?

Well, I won't judge what you did since I have nothing to do with it but let me tell you what I think in regards to your application:

    1) You should NEVER lie in your petition. If you have a kid you will have to mention it since he is your dependant (Partial or Wholly). It is not about they knowing, it is about being fully honest. When you bring somebody to your country it is a big responsibility and when you apply for her financial support you need to mention your kid because it affects the number of people depending on you.

    2) Chances for your wife: All the relationships MUST BE bona fide and from what I got from your post you had real intentions at first but somehow later it turned to be just a better of helping her with her visa and now you changed your mind again. I have no idea how they could take this whole thing. I don't know if you should somehow explain the whole thing the way it is and being honest about your intentions. I would be very careful and I guess you need to think if you really want it because it is such a long process and your wife will be depending on you for a certain period of time and additionally make sure about her intentions: Or she really loves you to accept such a thing or she just need the docs and again, this process is for bonafide relationships.

To be honest you have some serious red flags (The age difference COULD be one, probably you haven't seen her since you got married and then a baby when you were married)... I don't want to be pessimist about your case but I guess your chances are not good. Let's see what other people think.

  19. HEY AYLA, I WAS JUST WONDERING, WHY IT IS TALKING SO LONG TO GET YOUR APPROVAL NOTICE,

DID YOU FORGET ANY PAPER TO SUMMIT WITH YOUR K1 VISA APPLICATION FORM?.

IT HAS TO BE APPROVED BY NOW.

MY FIANCE HAD THE ISSUE WITH SHORT BIRTH CERTIFICATE, SHE HAD TO SUMMIT LONG ONE.

    Hi,

Well, we also sent his short birth certificate... He doesn't have the long version. We also sent it along with his Bio page of his passport. I never thought it could be an issue since they do not require the long version. Good to know this info!! :)
