  1. I have read the US Embassy needs to perform terrorist and fraud checks that can take 2-4 weeks. Wondering if more government workers are really involved making the final decision??

The frustrating part is wanting to be with the one you love so badly and waiting ....

My 2 kids are anticipating his arrival too. I've lost my smile as I am sure many of us have.

  2. Could anyone tell me why my fiancé's visa is stuck in "Ready" status since July 10, 2014.

He had his interview June 27, 2014...Approved, issued a white 221g and need a few other documents which I fed X and they received July, 10 (when status went from AP to Ready)

I have emailed the Embassy and they say the following.....

Fiancé visa in final processing and we will be together soon.

Call me impatient but I've lost my smile......

I am trying to plan time away from work to go to Jamaica and fly back to the states with him.

My employer needs a few weeks in advance to request off....hoping for the end of August (wondering if this is wishful thinking)

  3. My fiancé had his interview on Friday June 27, 2014. He was told he was approved but needed more documents on Joint Sponsor.

They collected his passport and gave him information on DHL.

I was in Jamaica a week later (July 2-6) and looked at the white form as well as took it back home to the States.

I submitted everything as they requested on the form on July 7....

I also emailed the Embassy and asked if they received all documents to approve this case on July 9, 2014.

This was their response on July 11, 2014:

    Good Day.

We have received all the documents needed for your case to finish processing.

We are now in the final stage of processing and issuing of this Visa.

    Regards.

My status went from AP to "Ready" on July 10, stating allow 2 business days to check back.

Unfortunately, as of this moment it says the same thing..........

I did get his 3 children approved as well, but are not bringing them-they are just written in on application because my lawyer suggested we have them on there that they exsist.

I am wondering why on the one status it reads...

    NON IMMIGRANT "READY"

Case Creation ans Status update: July 11, 2014

The other 3 updates it reads:

    IMMIGRANT "READY"

    Case creation: May 5, 2014

    Status Update July 11, 2014

  4. K1 Fiance Visa APPROVED on Friday June 27, 2014

but needed a few minor details (paperwork) So my status was in Administration processing from Interview June 27, 2014...we needed an original signature which I fed X to Jamaica when I returned home on Monday July 9, 2014.

It finally went into Ready on all 4 updates last week Thursday July 10 (why 4 updates?)

Then on July 11 (Friday) 1 of the 4 status updated to the date of July 11.

All have been in "Ready" .......

    (1) July 10 "non immigrant"

    (3) July 11 "immigrant"

can someone verify what the updates are....assuming it will end up HAPPY (L)

US Embassy Jamaica emails me on July 11, 2014:

    Good Day.

We have received all the documents needed for your case to finish processing.

We are now in the final stage of processing and issuing of this Visa.

    Regards.

I am planning on bringing him home in August

    Praying for the best!

  5. I emailed embassy in kingston, received a response same day...."all documents received and in processing for visa approval." Now I'm wondering what happens? I'm hoping he gets visa in hand this week.

I was in Jamaica last week and was able to see white slip. The information he needed to submit was in the folder I sent with him to appointment. I guess it was overlooked. Never the less I fed X what was needed.

......I'm assuming the visa gets delivered back with passport DHL?

  6. My fiancé had his interview today. They took his passport and gave him a paper requesting additional documents needed (from a Co Sponsor). They told him I could email the documents to them, funny thing though because the documents needed were in the folder I sent with him. I guess Jamaica is one of the countries that they need more time before final approval.

  7. I am going through same thing now. US Embassy mailed my fiancé packet 4 the end of May 2014. We submitted DS-230 a couple days ago. I am wondering what happens now....... no word on anything ((sighhhh))
