The i864A is required if you need the co-sponsor's spouses income ALSO. If not you just need a letter/W2's from your sponsor to show their part of the 1040 joint income that is shown on the tax return - Well this is what we did

Tks Saylin. My problem is that my case was completed but I need to bring updated I864 to the interview because stupid lawyer input line 37 of 1040 tax return in I864 instead of line 22. My joint sponsor does not want his spouse knowing he sponsor for us, so we did not submit I864A. Now we dont know which income (from w2 or 1040) we will input for I864 to bring to the interview. My sponsor has his own biz, so his wife does not need to contribute her income. We afraid Consular to ask us to submit I864A for his spouse. Can u help advise us?

The spouse only needs to fill out an I-864A and include their documents if they're going to contribute their income as well. If not, then the joint sponsor will just submit their W2s along with the tax transcripts to show their individual income.

My joint sponsor input income from 1040 tax (his and spouse's income) in I864, I heard that his spouse also need to fill in I864A in this case, right? If only he is joint sponsor, he has to input income in W2 tax. Can anyone help me?

My case was completed!!! Howerver, I have to take updated I864 to the interview since stupid lawyer did wrong on totalincome of joint sponsor. He did it wrongly twice. Stupid lawyer!!! My Aos n IV packages scanned on 12May n I864 checklist update scanned on 29May. Thanks all for your help!

I got AOS checklist on 24Jun, but we realised before, then automatically resent and it was scanned in 29May. Do I need to send again or just wait for nvc ti review our updated aos scanned on 29May?

Hi Giona, I also rcvd a checklist to inform that we have to submit I864. Stupid lawyer made sth wrong on my i864, we resent it n it was scanned on 29May. Dont know if this is false checklist.

Hi called last night the representative that i talked to told me that our papers are not yet reviewed at that moment but will be in a couple of days, they scanned our aos may 13th then today my husband got an email from NVC and he said he doesnt know what that email means so im guessing its a false checklist heres the screenshot pls let me know if its really a false or real checklist

Dang thats super strange your suppose to get an answer from them last week they're working on 16-19 now so i dont have any idea why they skipped you or maybe there are others aswell thats in the same boat as you are, dont lose hope youll get there pretty soon.

Think you have to call a lot of may 16-19th are getting case complete already. You're being left behind. Call call call and dont wait for their emails as NVC are backlogged and no time in fixing and updating emails. Hope you get you case complete soon.

I sent both packages from 5May n they were scanned on 12May, but laywer made mistakes on my i864, then we had to resend i864 on 20May, it was scanned on 29May. Still waiting now.

Hi vickyricky when did Nvc receive your doc? They receive our docs last may 30 but until now it's not yet scan in their system. I don't know what to do now.

So you can get CC when 1st Aos package was wrong? My case is same as you.

This is exactly the same as my case, i have a package delivered 2 days after (my attorney sent the wrong AOS checklist reply). The NVC said they will review the wrong package, then send a checklist but most likely ask me to bring the documents to the interview, then, review the right package .... If the new package is ok, they will then not require this at interview.

I sent Aos package n IV doc at the same time, they were scanned on 12May, but i864 was input wrong info by laywer. We resubmited i864 on 22May, it was sanned on 29May. I sent email to NVC to ask my case on 17May n got reply today to say that:

A letter will be sent to the petitioner or attorney of record indicating

the Affidavit of Support requirement for this case is incomplete.

Please submit the requested Affidavit of Support form(s) and/or

financial evidence, as indicated on the checklist. The requested

information must be submitted to the NVC for this file to continue

processing.

It meant I got the checklist for AOS, IV doc is fine, right? I have not received checklist email.

Mine did the same thing, however my new one was delivered only 1 day after once i realised she had done wrong!.... the issue is that the NVC will review in the order they get them! so you will have to wait i am afraid...

However, I was told that instead of a 3rd checklist i would get a CC and have to bring my new document to the interview, so, you may get a CC then they may review your other packet and you will be A.OK!

Not yelling at you....just really upset and frustrated. There are people past May 5th getting CCs now.

Hi all, after our I864 sent to NVC, we found it having some mistakes by stupid lawyer, do we need to resend an updated one now or wait for the checklist from NVC?

I see that some cases are completed with checklist, but they can re-submit updated doc at the interview date. Some need to be sent back to NVC for review. Why do they have that difference? Is that because the reviewer is happy at that time, then we luckily get case completed? ?????

Hi guys, congrats to all who have case completed and receive interview date. Today, I just check the copy of joint sponsor I864 form from lawyer, I realized that my lawyer forgot to fill in Part 4 (Information on the Sponsor (continued)). I'm afraid I will get checklist for that ?????. My AOS package n IV doc were sent on 5May.
