  1. Congrats.. the same thing happened to me. Our interview back in April 26 went smoothly but we didint get approved/stamped right there because of the security clearence/name check issue. She told us it could be 3 months to a year! .. After waiting for 45 days now, I got an email from them... the welcome letter is on the way!... so I can tell you, relax, sit back and enjoy the ride.. forget about all this and check back in 45 days.

    :)

  2. Dont over-worry about this.. since you have a work visa.. just get married and file away i-130 & i-485. You may want to file for work permit too since your work visa will expire soon and you are never sure how long the AOS will take. (it depends on the state/city ) better be prepared. :)

Ukrainian embassy can only extend it to the date I travel to Ukraine, but then I still have to get a new one there, because without it I can't come back to US. So basically at some point I still will have to go to Ukraine for a month or so to get it renewed.
  3. Don't pay attention to NOBODY here... people think they know.. but they don't really know.

Since you're married to an American citizen you're forgiven for any tourist visa stay and overstay. I personally know people who has gone through what you may go trough (if you choose).. and everything worked out just fine. Just make sure you get a lawyer (not an expensive one but a competent one) and prepare well for interview since they will want to know how come you didnt want to go through the other K3 stuff or K1. Remember it is your right as the wife of an American citizen to claim residency.

    It's up to you.
