  1. Surprise, surprise!

This morning I got my usual text message update and first I wasn't paying attention to it, since I expected the same old story. BUT: it said "we have taken an action...". So I logged in my USCIS account and it said "Card is produced". YEAH! 4 months under the 19 months estimated process time of CSC. The case status USCIS page still does show "case received" but logging into "My USCIS" seems to be updated sooner. However, I don't care....I'll wait now for the GC in the mail...I might call to confirm...

    Timeline:

    05/03/2017 I-751 delivered CSC

08/14/2018 GC will be produced and emailed!

  2. OOOps, sorry, wrong thread...I am a MAY 2017 filer.

I know it's a year on the GC but that expires in July. November is another four months without having any proof of status? Seems messed up to me.

You have to make an infopass appointment with your local field office to get a stamp into your passport as an extension of the extension. Some field offices make the stamp valid for another 6 months, some for another 12 months. We CSC filer probably are in desperate need of the 12 months one. ;)

This morning I got the same kind email only the date they last took action was February 28th....Weird, I didn't send any update requests. But it's good news, meaning at least it's moving and someone is looking at it. Staying positive :D Great news are coming our way guys!

This is an automated email. You´ll get it on a regular base when you signed up an account on USCIS. You can opt out for those "case inactivity" emails!

  5. I just got an email in response of my service request for the missing transfer notice (CSC). Of course they said that my case was in the processing times. LOL...They didn´t get it that I wasn´t asking about the case itself but for the missing transfer notice and they didn´t answer that at all instead they said I believe it was outside of the processing times...Funny thing is that they have the missing notice in the header but the text refers to the processing time. What a mess, do they ever read those service requests at all??? Oh well....it was at least a try... Oh, and they said they are working on cases September 7th 2016!

    Type of service requested:
     -- Non-Delivery of Other Notice

The status of this service request is:

On March 3, 2018, you contacted USCIS for an update on the status of your case, which you believe is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.

Our records indicate that your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was received at the California Service Center on May 9, 2017, which is within the most-recently published processing time specified on the USCIS website. Although subject to change, we are presently adjudicating I-751 petitions filed on or prior to September 7, 2016.

Please note that your Conditional Resident status remains valid until a decision is rendered in your case. You can continue to work and travel during this time.

I did the same. The reply will probably that we didn't wait 30 days for the notice to arrive.

So I just called the USCIS automated case enquiry line and it said:

"On March 8, 2018, USCIS transferred your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, to our office in Laguna Niguel, California for further processing. This office now has jurisdiction for your case".

    No joke.

    IT'S A BUG!

Ok, just for the heck of it I called the automated service as well about my case (transfer 25th and 26th to local office, CSC May filer).

It said: "We transferred your case. It is now pending at a USCIS office and is undergoing standard processing. Please allow 180 days from date of transfer before you make an inquiry about it."

Just a thought: What is if those transfers are just a technical system thing to buy them more time (...180 days AFTER TRANSFER)?

Anyways I thought this message is pretty saying nothing, not even mentioned WHICH office is now relevant....

I also had the received your case and will receive something by mail March 28th. I just think this is mis-information and we will likely receive nothing. At least the CSC filers. VSC seems to be much quicker and more efficient!

I did a service request about not getting the notice for the transfer (on Feb. 25th and 26th.) Today the case status changed to:

" On March 8, 2018, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number XXX, was assigned to an officer for response."

So, I am very curious what their answer will be....

    CSC filer here, May 2017.

Anyone else got any updates from USCIS after the case status changed to "transferred to local office"? If there were a letter to be sent out, when should we expect it? My case status was updated twice, once on 02/26 then 03/04.

May filer here but following this thread.

I put in a service request for the transfer since I´ve never got anything in the mail.

Today, the status on case changed, saying: " On March 8, 2018, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number XXX, was assigned to an officer for response."

So, I am very curious what their answer will be! Btw, my status changed on Feb. 25th and again on 26th, but no change after that.

Well she just told an untruth in that text. JeanneSs case was transferred, it was approved the same day and it came from the field office, no interview!!

Yeps, I don´t trust the answers I´ve got anyways. I was just curious if some new info might come up. I probably got a big red flag now next to my case # and name as for the most inconvenient caller to deal with LOL She totally ignored the fact that I told her I am not the only one with the weird tranfer status.

Was this person a tier 1 by any chance?  Just that they don't have access to certain systems and probably say whatever to get you off the phone and not have to transfer you.

Well, I couldn´t resist and called USCIS this morning - just for the heck of it. Tier 1 was reading very well her screen and was obviously in a hurry to get rid of me. I asked for the possibility for Tier 2 and she said that they don´t have any more info than her. Yeps, after dealing with them for years I know the game and got more determined and ASKED for a call back of Tier 2.

After 6 hours finally they just called me back. Info: case still in CA, still within processing time (I am a CSC May 2017 filer) and she can´t see any update in my account (those Feb. 25th and 26th transfer updates) and she does not have any idea why my account tell me that. She claimed that cases get transferred to local offices for interviews but that wasn´t in my case. So I asked again and again what she thinks why their computer is telling us the transfer info but she repeated that she does not see any of those update messages, case still is at CA and still in processing time and after she got fed up with me grilling her about it she was suddenly in a hurry as well to get rid of me LOL....Oh well....So I think what actually happens at USCIS and the status update are not syncronized and the case update is not the truth to go by.
