  1. there would be a charge for POS purchases yes, but the only purpose for her is to go to the ATM and take out grivanos. (spelling???) the bank across from her work is a german bank and i turned around to talk to her while getting cash and the machine didn't put the card out for very long and missed it. we talked to them and when the came to do maintenance... refill cash etc, the got my card for me. she was shocked. she had this happen to other clients and ..they were screwed and to find another way to get some money. After this I would only use their machine in her city (zaporo. UA) also they did not charge me for making withdraws from they ATM. very cool! wells fargo still would charge the 5.00.

its quite different there. she gets paid once a month and its through an evnelope of cash. i couldnt' believe when she told me that.

i will mail it to her. if its not there when she gets the package. i'll call and report it missing.

no it does not have her name on it. she's not on my account. I can't add her without a SS# and that's obviously not gonna happen.

  2. i send her money every month and I have to send thru western union. the fee i have to pay for the atm use is a fee from my bank which is $5. the bank with the ATM machine near her work doesn't charge anything for using it. so .. just $5 each month.

  3. I talked to a woman that is from the agency in Ukraine about whether men send debit cards. she wrote in a way that it was almost stupid to ask because of course they do. She said just "You need to take some newspaper or advertisement magazine, and put the envelope with the card there, carefuly hidden inside:)"

so. .. is it that easy?

i am sending my package of things to her via USPS int'l priority mail.

If I send her the card it is a $5 charge from my bank for the ATM use only.

  4. the only people guaranteed entry are US Citizens. Valid visa holders can be denied at POE, for any number of reasons (fraud, smuggling, criminal activity).

What is striking is that you call this woman an email order bride. The law doesn't allow for this; you have to have met in person at least once. So surely this woman is not in fact an email order bride if you have met her. But you still call her that? Telling.

no... I did not call her anything. I said, wrote that I SAW THIS ON NETFLIX.

    wow...

  5. I saw this on netflix. one thing concerned me. A man was waiting for his woman to arrive at the airport and they showed standing there, they switched a different couple, going back to showing him waiting. Finally after 3 hours she came out. they said customs was asking her questions. What can they ask for so long, and why? K-1 is not where there would be so much suspicion.

  6. i will just have vaccinations there and he's 5 only. if i do the lawyer its out of paranioa. I am on disability now but I believe by the time she arrives I will be able to work again. I will have my brother-in-law co-sponsor. its a little extraordinary and i just want to be sure its all in order. i dont want any excuses for the person at the embassy to spend ANY extra time with her.

hm... baggage fees, yes. her son has soooo many toys. i mean its crazy! suitcases. at least 3. baggage fees is the best option for this? i think she will have to pick and choose some most favorite toys of his. i think he will want some when he visits.

Oh, so what would constitute a "bag". she had mentioned that a simple bag can be used. is it by weight in this case. or if its usual airline guidelines. its anything under a certain weight but if she gets just some "bags" not luggage. she has to watch the size and shape?

thanks... in advance. not in crimea thankfully. Zap. is her city ;)

  7. OK.... her ex is getting married in July so he has this divorce paper already and he will return it after that. thanks for the medical info! Oh so she must bring her son to kiev for this also. Hmmm...... so the airplane tickets then doubled also from 250 to 500. the cost of the translation is not worth putting down. :dancing: and yes the dollar is currently stronger @ 11.77 UAH/$.

Brian&Larissa, how did my numbers look that I listed? With the information you've given. i have made some changes to this:

    215 medical for wife
    215 medical for son
    340 filing fee
    240 K1 visa fee wife
    240 K1 visa fee son

does the filing fee then double also?

Darnell.... I just have to ask. what is the woman doing in the video? cute but what is she doing?

  8. yes this is what I have come up with so far. I will have to wait and see what she says about birth cert and police cert.

    • 250 medical for son
    • 340 filing fee
    • 240 K1 visa fee
    • 000 Reciprocity Visa Fee

    • X birth certificate
    • 2300 airfare (2 tickets to US)

  9. is there a list of fees for the process? I only know the "filing fee" is 340.00.

I have asked my fiancee to find the cost of passport(s), Police cert, birth certs, and an estimate of the cost to Kiev from her city. This is assuming she will still need to go to Kiev in the coming months and not Moscow then. Oh, and the cost of a medical exam for her and her son.

I saw adj of status is just over 1,000 but if I am corret this is after she is actually here and after the wedding, correct?

    thanks

  10. sorry. the lawyer wanted 1200 for I-129F. I said I will do it myself and ask my brother in law and my sister to look over each form for errors rather than using the lawyer for/as a spell check.

just wonder how it will be with the RU/UA situation. she is in another city. Crimea is just an example since its already part of RU. So if she was there would she go to moscow for her interview? (that would suck). only about 200 miles, but moscow is 550 miles away, different country etc. (would be foreign to her)

  11. I don't see the cost(s) listed.

    1. how do i file for her and her son? Do i need to file this form twice?

The other thing is how her country could be in some sort of limbo soon. She doesn't live in Crimea but many other parts of the country could be in the same situation as there. We dont know what this will do to the process. So for example if she lived in crimea would she file or do things in moscow now?

OK i see the cost is $340.00. And now I see on the I-129F the child gets listed on there. OK,... good grief. 1200 for this? I'll just use my sister and then brother-in-law and the spell check and let them find errors.

I really dont know though how it will work since she in UA and its quite .. screwed up.

  12. yes a K1 visa. I have seen that link yes. I have not seen where someone wrote out the process. not a list. As I indicated. I want to know what to expect... not just a list. i send this, they do what. then they do what.

again, not just a list of things i need. Am i not saying this correctly?

the cost for the lawyer is obscene but seems to be a necessary evil since i am certainly not confident in doing this what information I can find.

  13. I did talk to a lawyer but the cost is insane, but then if it isn't written out what to do. I would do this. I read simplest mistakes can be many months to correct, and time to do this is already waaaaaay too long. I really dont konw what they do for so much time. I think before 9/11 it was a 3 month process. so now with the name checks its another 6 months? I can't believe running a query takes that long.

    her costs are as follows:

The fling fee is $340. I would charge $1200 for the Petition and $500 for an affidavit of support and consular forms.

i did look at that. it does not have details as I mentioned. it does not say when you file what. where you file... etc etc
