    How to Submit 221(g) Documents

    Overview

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate may give you a 221(g) letter directing you to submit additional documents or information related to your visa application. Your application will be kept on hold at the Embassy or Consulate until you submit those documents.

All documents and information requested in a 221(g) letter should be submitted at the nearest Team Stanley document pickup location within one year from the date you received the 221(g) letter. Failure to submit the required information within one year will result in the suspension of your visa application. You will be required to submit a new visa application and pay all associated fees in order to continue with your visa application process.

    How to Submit 221(g) Documents

    Step 1

Click here to print a Document Submission Letter. Complete the checklist manually.

    Step 2

Go to the nearest Team Stanley document pickup location. Take your 221(g) submission slip, the 221(g) letter given to you at the Embassy or Consulate, and all documents requested in your 221(g) letter.

    Step 3

Drop-off your documents and the 221(g) submission slip at the Team Stanley document collection office. Team Stanley will acknowledge the 221(g) submission slip for you to keep for your records.

    Step 4

Team Stanley delivers your documents to the Embassy or Consulate.

    Step 5

Team Stanley returns your documents and your passport to you at your chosen document delivery pickup location. If issued, your passport will contain your visa. You may also receive a new 221(g) letter.

  2. Yes, but you have to have good data connection. He literally lives in the jungle... getting phone signal is iffy, let alone internet. :)

Oh, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I am truly happy for you! I so appreciate your prayers. We just keep trusting and praying, and hoping it comes soon. Conversations about what happens if we don't get approved are painful!

    Oh no far from that

I'm hoping for the NOA2 to come after that the rest is a piece of cake

  3. Thanks!

Yeah, we were both pretty down on the phone tonight... you feel like yours will never come :) But, I know you felt that way too, and I am just glad that you can rejoice now!

And I am extremely thankful that after 10 months of being apart, we finally figured out a way to talk on the phone almost every night without breaking the bank. Texting was the best we could do for all that time, and his signal was so poor it would sometimes take us an hour to text the basics back and forth. Counting the little blessings, 'cause they really do make a difference!

Oooooh u make me sad, u make feel so bad

I know what u going through but one thing is sure that I got faith everything going to be alright.

U r in my prayer everyday

Have faith dear n let pray God.

  6. Hello! Just hang in there, your NOA2 will come very soon, We have NOA1 of January 28 (Almost 1 month before yours) and got approved July 25th. I have seen many approval from all countries with days between NOA1 and NOA2 of 180 - 200 days.

Stay strong, you guys can do it! :goofy:

Hi sweetopossum, I understand but still inpatient

Thank u for ur advice n ur concern. I really appreciated

  7. Vickyandmacky you've quoted like 4 of my posts in the past 30 minutes asking the same thing so I'll respond once.

I don't know why I got my NOA2 on a different day than anyone else - I don't delegate the workload at USCIS, I don't control the ins and outs of how they process paperwork. Like any office, there's people who process paperwork manually and some people are faster than others, some people get sick and get behind, some people go on vacation and fall behind, some people have a special project they get assigned to so their regular work goes to the wayside, etc. etc. Also some people have prior histories that require more extensive background checks than other people, some people come from high fraud areas so additional investigation is warranted, etc. etc. All of that contributes to the wacky timeline in which things get processed.

I got through when I did because that's how it happened. Nothing special. There were several people who filed after me that got their NOA2 weeks before me at TSC. There were people who got NOA1 the same days as me and they got NOA2 a week or two before me, some people got it afterwards.

It's annoying, it's disorganized, it's inefficient and frustrating, but it is what it is.

Provided you didn't royally eff up filling our your paperwork, you meet the requirements, and provided you aren't secretly already married or a super scary criminal, you're fine, it'll get processed eventually. Waiting is annoying, it sucks, it's irritating seeing people at CSC complain about waiting 6 weeks when those of us stuck in TSC wait five times that. But, it is what it is. It's only the start of the journey.

Thanks my dear for brighting up the light n it's very understandable

  8. According to USCIS website the new processing time for TSC is 6 months now.

    :(

I really hope that this issue will be addressed very soon by USCIS leadership.

Hang in there! I got NOA2 at 6 months and 2 days. It sucks. But at least it's a better situation than some folks who have been waiting years for spousal visas. Hang in there!

How come u sent ur petition on 14th of the January and got ur NOA1 on the 22 of the same month of January and Liz sent urs the date as u she got her NOA1 two days after u on the January 24 so she get approved before u so I don't understand the processing time that USCIS is talking about.

How come WAIT4EVER sent his petition on 14th of the January and got his NOA1 on the 22 of the same month of January and u sent urs the date as his u got ur NOA1 two days after his on the January 24 so u got approved before him so I don't understand the processing time that USCIS is talking about.
