2nd: I'm applying for a health insurance through coverCA. The civil status question. I don't want any conflict in all these visa application for my wife. When I talked to an operator. He's asking me if my marriage is already recognized by the state of California? when I told him that my wife is still a nonresident alien but a petition filed for her so I may file for a joint tax if she comes here before 2014 tax season or if not (file married but separate tax file for 2014) If the state of California does not recognized the marriage yet then i should put "single". He is talking about current situation.

I'm having some trouble understanding and really want to go over the documents and information I have before NVC processing.

I was married back in December 2013 and went back here in the US. Applied for a job and got hired January 2014. When I applied there was this form W4 and about claim and taxes. One question in there about your civil status in line 3 of first page, there is a note stating "If married, but legally separated, or spouse is a nonresident alien, check the “Single” box." and so I did check that. Will that be a conflict to the NVC processing? I was claimed in tax of 2013.

God is good! Our I130 got approved too. May 6 was the date according to USCIS website. Just waiting for NOA2 hardcopy.

Thank you! I'm really surprised that it got approved this fast. I saw some posts that their cases gets approved 14 days or something and just imagining and hoping that our case can be like that. Thanks to God that it did for 21 days. I'm really thankful and blessed. Yes, I'm reading the next step so many times now as I wait for the hard copy of the nao2. I'm listing up stuff I needed to prepare and also communicating with my wife about it. This site is a big help to us.

my I-130 got approved! yey!!! that was fast!!! Thank God!!! Thank you so much! I just even took my licensure exam yesterday (hopefully I passed it too! lots of going on, thinking if i pass or not but this approval gave me a relief. I just checked online right now with what's going on with my case and yes it is approved yesterday! NVC time! Glory to God! yeee!! need to get this NVC stuff reviewed and be ready..

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as the names biometric info, and other stuff is ok, their birth year should not be an issue.

Hello everyone. I'm lurking the VJ website since I started making preparations for my CR1 application for my wife. This website helped me a lot and the necessary documents needed for the whole application. I know that the journey for the whole process have just started. I already mailed my I-130 and just got a message & email this morning that they received my application and has been forwarded to Nebraska Processing Center.

One thing I discovered though after going through my copies is that I missed to write the year of my parents birthdate in my g325a form. Everything else is okay though. But what will happen to that? I keep on thinking about it. ugh. even after 3-4 times of checking everything. but hopefully all goes well. Praying and hoping for smooth and fast process.

I forgot to put the year in the birth dates of my parents. What will happen to that? I triple and or quadruple checked everything but I still missed this one thing just to check my copies that i missed that. Ugh.. stressed out and keep thinking about it up until now.
