Hello My wife got her visa/passport today and she is ready for flight. One question i have that i would like help with.

One of the documents she received said to bring "immigrant data summary" page/package with you to USA and will be needed at immigration. But under that section it says "carry the packet, all of your original documents and your X-rays with you"

Now she obviously took the X-rays to embassy sealed and was given a copy of them after her medical (her copy). Now where are these X-rays? in the sealed packet given to her from embassy? or she has to take her copy that she got from the medical?

this document is making it sound like X-rays are separate and were given to her but weren't. Unless X-rays Original are in the sealed packet that she got from embassy? I don't know just confused. Any help?

where did she pick her passport up from brother? lahore or islamabad?

still did not hear anything today as well. getting paranoid..

Give it few days. Embassy should have given her a list of couriers to call close to her location. Since for my wife the location was near Islamabad she went there and picked it up. She called for 2 days straight and they finally said its here and she received it today.

She called today and they said they don't have it yet. Online it says it has been issued and printed. Status update date was initially 29th august and today got updated to sept 2nd. I hope she gets it soon as well.

Did she get her passport yet ? Is there any way to find out if the embassy has already mailed the passport or not?

Between congrats for getting the visa improved. My wife's visa also got approved but now I am getting impatient as to when will she get her passport back

She has been calling the number for delivery people. They called her today and said its ready for pickup.

I will find out if she has picked it up yet or not. Your wife was probably given a paper with deliver names/address and phone numbers. Try calling those.

went there at about 4:30am and left around 9:30'ish? will have more details once i hear more from her.

ok Visa approved! They said it will be sent in mail in 2 weeks!!

interview today at 7 am, right now its 12:24 am there!! Wife is about to leave in few hours pray!!!

So as everyone know Rawalpindi/Islamabad has been closed for about 2 weeks now. Containers are placed to block roads preventing people from entering/exiting any cities. My wife hasn't been able to go to her medical exam. It has been canceled twice due to road closure. Just wanted to see how is everyone else holding up. Has embassy called/informed any of you guys to figure out what will happen?

wow guys, this is sad news. NVC got my IV package today. DS-260 has been sent a week ago with AOS package. I was hoping to have case complete in May and Interview in July. Could you guys share you timelines?

Hopefully last question....what folder type did you guys use to send IV package? my marriage certificate are "legal" size and long. I have use folders with prongs on them before but just wondering if someone has any pictures or folder types or idea on what to do.

I was thinking a normal folder and have papers separated by paper clip. Like folders with pockets on each side.

Hey guys i have sent my AOS package. Both IV and AOS fees are showing paid.

I will send my IV package this friday but my question is i do see DS-260, should i go head and fill this out? Or wait for IV and AOS packaged to be received at NVC and than do the DS-260? I am waiting on few documents to come in mail and i will send out the IV package but AOS package was sent yesterday.

Some are saying its required and some are saying its not required. http://travel.state.gov/content website says its not required, yet some people gotten checklist due to not sending it. ISB embassy says its required, so i am little confused on what i should do. Not send it to NVC and have my wife take it to embassy whenever her interview happens?

2nd. Foreign office attested, should the police certificate be attested by foreign office? Currently its in English, typed with police signature and my wife picture on it.

Hey guys, DS-261 is approved and i payed AOS fees, but AOS fees is still processing. I also have the ability to pay IV fees. Should i go head and pay that as well? or should wait for AOS fees to get approved. AOS package to get approved and all that?

Guys i have a quick question regarding form DS-261. My wife last name is Mazhar and my last name is Shahid. No middle names, she didn't change her name at all.

For DS-261 for surnames what do i put? i have put "Mazhar" for her and "shahid for my section (agent)

2nd question for "Given names" i have put "FIRST NAME+LAST NAME which is "Mazhar" and i did the same for my section. is this right? I feel like Given Names should only have First name?

Hey guys i got my case number today! very excited. i added my timeline but not sure if its working so i have manual added the timeline.

To my understanding i now need to wait a day or two until DS-261 available and after that pay AOS and so on for which i will get a email from NVC because of DS-261 form i fileld out?. One thing that is complelty confusing me is the whole OPIN online option, Being that i am sponsering my wife from Pakistan she can't use that option where i scan all my documents and email them instead, this is based off the guides i have read here. Only Montreal and China support this?

Hello just want to check with you guys regarding this question i have.

We need to submit 2 x pictures for my wife at NVC stage and i have extra pictures from I130 stage which i submitted around September. could i use those pictures? or am i required to submit new set of pictures?

NVC has received my case but a case number hasn't been issued yet, to speed up the process could i make the police certificate ahead of time and have it ready?

I have all other supporting documents ready just need police certificate to submit to NVC whenever or whatever step that it. I was worried if i have it made before case number is issued this could cause problem or something. Just checking with you guys.
