  1. Had our interview yesterday and were approved on the spot!

we arrived about 20 minutes early and waited about 40 minutes to be called in.

we then entered the room, he swore us in, asked for ID's passports, I-94s, and the first thing he did was ask for our boys birth certificates, then ge said that it would be silly to ask how we met and all of those questions after having 2 kids together lol, then he asked all the yes/no questions on the forms and asked why we waited 6 years to file for my greencard. he then saw our photos and laughed at some silly ones.... then he said congrats! gave us our receipt and walked us out the door :) thank u everyone for your help! and good luck to all of you waiting in this process!!!!

  2. Lucky you! What status are you adjusting from, B1/B2, F1 or what? I am still waiting to hear from them about my EAD or interview. My wife contacted her Congressman's office and they checked on our status from USCIS, on our behalf. Response from USCIS is that my EAD is pending at NBC and timeframe is 3 months.

Hi! Im adjusting from a b1/b2 visa, came here when I was 14 and overstayed so now im adjusting through mybhusband
  3. I think you are about to get EAD/AP soon. Maybe you can check for others in the same state...the timeline is likely to be the same.

For me, I've checked with applicants in Boston. Their EAD approval date is the same as mine, 1 month plus 6 days exactly from the scheduled biometric date.

It seems like early biometric did not expedite the EAD form my research.

    Good Luck

I hope so! Good luck to you as well! ?
  4. We are in the same boat. I finished biometrics on April 24, and nothing still. So confused. It seems like USCIs in colorado slows down extremely, before people got EAD/AP much faster. Do you know what is about your state? how long does it usualy takes?

They said it takes around 3-4 months for the whole thing to process Im barely 2 months into it but I figured I would have at least an interview date by now :(
  5. I'm sure some local offices are different than others, but all we did was show our letter and ID's to get through security, Then the guy who was working in the biometrics office came out and double checked ID and the appointment letter, gave my wife a form to fill out. After we finished, he came and collected the form, took her inside and they did the biometrics and were back out a few minutes later. So, we didn't need anything extra when we went.

Your timeline is almost the same as mine, with like a day of difference, hopefully our case is as fast!
  6. Thank you. We are in Anchorage so that is our local office. I was kind of surprised when we went to our biometrics appointment and found nobody else was there. I assumed there'd be a few other people getting the same thing or being there for other immigration business. I'm assuming our local office must currently not be very busy.

There was only like 5 people when I went to get mine done so hopefully it goes as fast :D
  7. We are feeling rather lucky in our journey. We went in for our biometrics last Monday...May 12, and we were in and out in 10 minutes. There was nobody in line at security, and there was absolutely NOBODY waiting in the waiting area for biometrics at all. When we went through this, we were hopeful that since our local office didn't seem busy at all, that we'd get the interview, because it's generally faster. We were hoping that maybe we'd get the interview in July sometime, but weren't holding our breath over it.

I continued by daily quick status check to see if it had changed at all after biometrics, but it hadn't all week, so we were very surprised to see a letter in the mail on Saturday (mailed May 15) stating that our interview was scheduled for June 5. They said for both of us to come and to bring all the documents we have supporting our case, such as bank records and other items showing our co-mingling of finances. We were very surprised, but happily so.

Of course we went to check the status and even as of now (May 19) it still shows the same status it has since they first received our file.

Wow that is so fast! Congrats! May I ask where you are filing?

I havent seen any changes in my case either and I got my bio done on the 13th so this gives me hopes lol
