  1. Thanks guys, now can you tell me if Part 2 of the DS-230 form came in one of the packets or do they give you that at the consulate to fill in.

I tell ya if it wasn't for this site and all you great people especially in LAND DOWNUNDER I would definitly be loosing the plot right about now. Be glad when the day comes I can help someone else out with something.

Congrates again Angela on the EAD.

    Stella.

  2. I was wondering if anyone can tell me with the DS-156 form, question 36, " Has anyone ever filled an immgrant visa on your behalf?" is that only in relation to the US or other countries as well. I did immigrate to Sweden with my then Swedish Fiance 16 years ago as his de-facto. Thanks to anyone who may know.

  3. Ah ta Karo. Love hearing about your warm and snuggly stuff. Not long now for a few of us around here.

I was wondering, I never did get Part 2 of the DS-230 form. I am guessing they will give this to me on the day of the interview to fill in. Can anyone tell me if this is so or should I email an enquiry??

And also I was arrested for a DUI in 1980. I know I have to state this on the DS-156 form but know it never shows on the several criminal checks I have had done for jobs in the past ie. DOCS. The police lady I spoke to said it may not show on this one either, so should I try the impossible to obtain court records of this (apparently from what I remember in the past they only keep records for 5 or 7 years for this sort of thing) or do you think me just stating it on the form without it showing on my criminal record should be enough. Damn I wish I had waited a little till I sent back that checklist form. I'm sure you are all right when you say it will all come in time and I am a natural born worrier.

Hope you are all having a great Ozyanky weekend. :P

  4. Yeah and thanks again from me Gary. I have my interview scheduled 30th May. Man Sydney is quick. I think I will be OK though as our petition was posted so much earlier than the 6th of March. But then so was Palak. May help eventually with Y'all statistics though.

Good to see as yet no more cancellations but sorry things do seem to have slowed down in the NOA2 department.

  5. Hi Matt, thanks. It's all starting to move very quick now, Kinda wish I hadn't sent off that checlist form so quick now. Thought it would take a month or so to get an interview, not just 10 days. Hope the police checks etc come in time.

Never even thought about taking the computer, good idea but I am getting an alright price for it and well we do need every cent I can get.

    Bon Voyage Kaffy too.

CIao for now and phew! Sydney does move quick,

    Stella.

  6. Yeah the doctor is a real sweetie hey. Funny cause I said to him not to tell me what I weighed too. Ignorance is bliss. Glad all went well for you too. They did just ring though as they had forgotten to do my chicken pox, which I had as a child, so they still have my blood thank god so yet to get a bill for $20.

Glad you found your way Meefsie.

Had been wondering how the op was going Kath. Yeah ditto, glad to see your still with us and it went well.

I am in the process of selling my computer so am currently at the library. Won't be making quite so much noise around here for a while now.

    So cheers all.

  7. I think it may depend on the state and maybe even the cop. Some say the International one is good in case you get in to trouble or are in an accident. My Andrew is an ex-cop and he says not to worry about it but then mine is in English. I had one though when I visited and plan to get another before I return. Maybe ring your local police.

  8. Oh Kaffy too, your Brucey Boy reminds me of our Butch. Though he looks a little more intelligent and stately even in that position. I am now starting to feel so sad leaving these 4 legged guys behind. Hope I haven't mad you feel too sad too about that. :crying:

  9. Yeah Lorelle, no icky stuff at all. The medical was a breeze. No duck walking either (was that a joke?). I was getting really nervous. The hardest part for me was finding my way to the parking station. The city has changed so much since I used to live there, new tunnels everywhere. Then when I got to the doctors and realised I had lost my purse, no money, no credit card. They were very good about it and was a bit late by the time I got back. Found it under my car, back at the parking station. I guess they figured if I could run there and back in twenty minutes, I must be healhy enough. Was only there an hour, including x-rays and blood tests. Just had to pay $225 all up.

Boy KaffyKat what a wallop for your two medicals. So worth it though, soon in your baby's arms. (L):D

    Stella.

Oh I just thought I'd add, no breast exam on me. Maybe he was a bit nervous, I do have rather large ones. :jest:

  10. Oh golly, thanks for the medical info but I am worried now. I do have scholiosis and those little excersises look like a nightmare to me. Very glad to hear nothing too intrusive though. And no breast exam, yippee.

Ok, so I will send the check list, did you just send it in the same envelope as the form DSL-1076???

    Stella.

  11. Yeah doctor Millar, I followed what others said on here easier to get to X-rays etc. Sorry to hear 'bout the blood pressure. Sure it will right itself when you get back to your man and this is all over with. I have had bad blood pressure since I was in my late twenties but strangely it has been OK and I know I AM STRESSED!!!

Same to you, good luck on Tuesday. Wonder if celebraties and such have to go thru all these indignant tests and vaccination jabs. Yeah I was hoping to get the HIV done before but just no time, got appointment so quick.

And if any K1 Aussies read this, can anyone tell me if they sent the checklist form DSL-1076 back straight away before they had police cetificates and medical in hand??

    Stella.

  12. Yeah thanks Lorelle, I found what I was looking with the immunisations. I had saved it previously and forgot. Yes I just couldn't believe my luck when I read the instuctions for the police certificates, saves that bit of mucking around and if Kath hadn't advised me to wait I would have sent off for it unnecessarily. Thanks again to all you guys here.

About the medical, well I guess the others can fill you in. I have mine booked in Sydney for Monday so I can tell you my experiences then. I believe you can leave your undies on, so thats something but I have read somewhere on here they do a breast exam, that does seem a bit extreme. I am sure they will find lots of lumps and bumps in mine.

When is your medical again Lorelle??

Guess the DSL-1076 is a K1 thingy. It's just a form to say you have all the documents they have asked for but it seems, on here, every one sends it straight back with the DS-230, the first one you send back, when it seems you can't have EVERYTHING they mention.

    Stella.

  13. Forget my last post, packet three arrived today :dancing:

Two questions anyone please. Do I only send back the DSL-1076 after I have my medical and police certificates in my hand??????

And in my instructions it only asks for police certificates for other countries you have lived in for more than 12 months. Can this be correct ????? I thought it was 6 months or more. I lived in Sweden for 9 months, 16 years ago. I do hope so, would save some money and mucking around.

    Yippee,

    Stella.

  14. Hi,

I have been looking and looking for the info on the types of immunisations are required and the tests done for the Sydney medical, and I got error messages on what I did find and I just can't find anything else. Can anyone easily lead me to where I can look up those things.

Andrew rang the Visa centre and have sent our petition to Sydney on the second.

    Stella.
