  1. Hello All,

We are preparing our docs to send for removing my wife's conditions on green card.

We got married in 2014, my wife came here 2015, we have a daughter 1yr.

we have following list of documents that we are planning to send:

    1. copy of green card
    2. NYS photo IDs both of us indicating same address
    3. Daughter's birth certificate
    4. tax transcripts for 2014 and 2015 (filed jointly married)
    5. Car Title on both names
    6. Health Insurance cards both of our names and daughters as well
    7. Electric bills on both names
    8. BJs membership cards on both names
    9. Bank Statement on both names

I was wondering if you think this might be enough.

Also, we opened a joint bank account when she came here, however, we got busy with pregnancy and daughter, we didn't use this account at all. I had all the bill payments setup online. There is no activity in the join bank account.

My question is should I include Bank statements in the package or not?

    thanks for you help.

  2. It looks like that, but it will ask what visa it is. So once you give CR1, it will ask whether you have interview scheduled etc.. and it lets you schedule biometrics. I think its alright, I guess you can get the biometrics and medical done week before. If you have any doubts call the embassy.

I got my medical done in Mumbai at Rele Clinic on Jan 30. I got the results after 2 days. So, just make sure you have enough time to get the results before interview.

    Good Luck

    Thanks mkhandrika!

I went ahead and completed the process, Like you said it changed to biometrics appoints right I chose Cr1. Thanks!

My wife's interview is on 3/5, I checked CEAC and it still says "At NVC".....should I be worried since exactly 2 weeks left for the interview?

  3. Hello everyone!

My wife has interview during first week of march in Mumbai India, I am trying to schedule biometrics appointment on Ustraveldocs.com site, it's very confusing, I created a new profile, and then selected "Schedule Appointment", now while going through the steps I felt that its trying to make an interview appointment not the biometrics. Also, I thought visa pick-up location is one of the VAC (Visa application center), but it's asking address for visa pickup?

Can someone please walk me through the steps? I would really appreciate your help.

Also, she has an medical appointment next week, do I have to until she completes the medical, I feel that is very short time is left between interview and biometrics/medical.

  5. Thanks Sharksbelow for quick reply.

Yes, all these documents have "F" as document status, does "F" mean it's not required? yes I read the status codes, like you mentioned "F The NVC did not request this form or document",but does it mean you don't need to bring for the interview - at least that's what I am reading. I hope you are right because we can't provide these docs as they don't exist for us. I will call NVC but wanted to see what other peoples experiences on this.

Have you looked at the letter next to each line and made sure that they are indeed asking for this? What I mean is, all of those things are listed for me too, but because they have "F" next to them which means "F The NVC did not request this form or document", I don't need to bring them.

Just make sure you're checking that part. If you have already checked that, I have no idea. Might have to call NVC or email your embassy.

mkhandrika, what is number 12 (Photocopies of 1,3,4,5,6 and 7)? I have my wife's interview in march, so just wanted to make sure I don't miss anything.

    Hi everyone

Its so nice to hear more CC's, interviews getting scheduled and Visa approvals. Me and my husband have been apart for 11 month now and we have first anniversary this month. So I know how everyone feel. So its great to see people are getting united with their loved ones :)

I have my interview on 27th Feb in Mumbai. According to P4, I just need to take Passport and photos. But I am planning to take following

    1) P4 Letter

    2) Passport

    3) Photos

    4) Medical Report

    5) DS-260 Confirmation Page and Biometric Appointment confirmation (which is done)

    6) Marriage Certificate

    7) Indian PCC from District Police and Passport Office

    8) Birth Certificate

    9) W2 2013 (My husband is going to send this to me) My husband had filed taxes without extension and had sent IRS transcripts to NVC

    10) Letter from Employer - Experience Letter (I have resigned from my job)

    11) Education - Degree certificates

    12) Photocopies of 1,3,4,5,6 and 7

    13) Marriage Invitation

    14) Marriage and trip photos

    15) Skype call logs (still thinking whether to take these)

dwheels, do you think anything is missing?

Please let me know if you guys think anything is missing.

Also, does anyone here at VJ have their interview at 7:30 27th Feb in Mumbai consulate?

Thank you so much and good luck everyone

  6. Hello everyone, we received IL for my wife in Mumbai, however, some of the documents they requested are not even related to our case for instance;

    Adoption

    Court records

    Military records

Petitioner marriage certificate (they are asking for her marriage certificate and my marriage certificate...there is only marriage certificate you get)

Petitioner birth certificate (I thought birth certificate needed for applicant's only)

Is this normal that they ask information randomly? even though it's not relevant, also, what should we do?

  7. Hello Vjs,

I just paid my IV fee, now while we filling out DS-260 form, we noticed that my wife doesn't have surname in her passport, basically it's empty, but she has given names.

In ds-260 form, it says if you don't have give names then enter FNU, however, in her case she doesn't have Surname - not sure what to enter.

I would appreciate is someone share similar experiences.

  8. Hello everyone,

I sent my AOS and IV together to NVC last week, when I filled out I-864EZ form (I am eligible) I noticed that sending last three years of tax transcripts is optional, so I just sent last years tax transcripts. I am not sure they if do check list for not sending additional 2 years tax transcripts? Should I just send all three years again? thanks for your advice.

  9. Yes, I agree with you that during Interview you should bring as many as you can.

I was referring to NVC, I sent last years tax transcripts even though I had for all past years, I thought it would easier for NVC document reviewer to review just one vs three??? and I am preparing to take more than 3 years tax transcripts to the interview.....has any one did this before?

Depends on the embassy- I've seen enough (though not all) cases delayed when COs ask for 3 years that I always recommend you bring 3 years.

  10. Hello VJs.....I received NOA2 and waiting for NVC case #, meanwhile, preparing for the paper work. Here is my question; I am the petitioner(USC), filing just for my wife, all my income stated in single W-2. However, I opened a small corp. in 2013 which has zero income but had expenses for 2013. Am I still qualified for I-1864EZ for?

Also, I filed for 1040 last year, so I think I need to put my "total income" as it appears on 2013 tax transcripts correct? or it should be "adjusted gross income"? thanks for any inputs.

  11. Hi, we've already been over all this drama in September and a Rant/Support thread was created for content that didn't add to the thread. Now what happened is that there's content on both, just with varying degrees of non-content. I agree the "checking in" posts don't add anything but that's just something people do when the new thread is created. I don't really see too much of that later on. I disagree with you on the rest, however, because the latest scan date/CC is actually my main reason for visiting the thread, and possibly for most people that already sent their packages to NVC. People usually post when they get a CC, but some members are on Facebook groups and other places I don't frequent so replies to the "latest scan date" question are valuable.

This thread is not an NVC-how-to (that's what the wiki and the NVC site are for!) but, that said, in my experience questions are usually answered. I had questions before I sent my packages, and then I asked a few days ago about my false checklist, and I've always gotten at least one answer.

I am relatively new to this thread, please ignore my comments.

  12. Hello everyone, first let me say that this forum is a great resource for folks who are going through very intense NVC process, not to mention uniting families. I just wanted to share my opinion from what I noticed on this forum lately, I see forum gets populated with tons of pages, mostly with "checking in my X month(s) at NVC" or "what is the latest scan date" or etc., while this might be ok to update but at the same time there are multiple questions unanswered because they buried into above mentioned posts.

I understand that every question cannot be answered on this forum but I think it should get at least a chance so that other people who went through same process might be able to help in some ways.

  13. Hello, welcome to the thread!

I was approved on 8/18, NVC received my case on 9/17, case # assigned same day 9/17 (this is rare). I was told that it takes NVC up to 5 weeks (25 business days) for them to receive your case from USCIS from NOA2 date, so hang in there. Best of luck with this process! It can be quite frustrating lol

Thanks. That's vey helpful, hope you get very fast and smooth process.

Did you already receive an email/text from USCIS on when your case was shipped to NVC? I've read some people don't get a notification, but others do. The online status remains "Post Decision Activity", but it changes to this:

    Post Decision Activity

On October 14, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

My NOA2 was 9/20, and USCIS only sent it to NVC today - 26 days later. From what I understand, sometimes the service centers send approved I-130s to NVC in batches - so some happen to be sent quickly, others wait a bit.

I didn't get notification from USCIS regarding case being shipped to NVC. I checked online status and its still says "post decision activity" and also it mentioned that they have sent approval notice to my address.

Did you get notification text/email about your file has been shipped to NVC, or you randomly check on USCIS website?
