  1. Hello,

Is it necessary for the US spouse who is the petitioner to fly to the foreign country to be in the interview? And is it necessary for the petitioner to fly to where the beneficiary is and fly back to America together? Can te beneficiary go through the interview and the flight to America alone?

    Thank you

For Nepal, it's not necessary. My fiance went for a interview alone and she was approved. She also came to US alone. So don't worry. Just be honest and have evidences ready if they ask during interview.

  2. Hello everyone,

I just got the rejection for AOS letter saying I included wrong amount. I called the USCIS about resubmitting my package. They said I can send my old package with right amount. My question is Can I send that same old package or do I need to send the new package. ANother concern is my i 693( medical from us civil surgeon is open) do i just send that old open document with it?

I called the uscis and they said I can just send the old document with 1 page at the top which they sent me.

I just feel like they didn't understand my concern.

    any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  3. Hello Everyone,

My fiance(now wife) entered USA via Ireland and US has customs in Ireland so there was no custom check in US when we entered do we still put the name of the city where she entered?

While filing different form it ask for the A number and Visa Number. I believe A number is in the approval notice and Visa number is on the Visa but there are way too many numbers in Visa so My question is Is visa number the one that typed in red and starts with K?

I hope I am clear on my questions.

    Thank you..

  4. oh wow i have to admit that your case is moving really quick. be patient. I applied on January 2014 for the k1 and got my approval in august and i had to wait 6 months after the approval date to get an interview appointment. stay patient.

    thank you!!

my father is self-employed though. so he is his own boss....? :/ im confused.

    5.

You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

    (A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

    (B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)

© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern

    (D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Take a look at C. Hopefully it helps. I am not sure how it works for self employed. But it seems like you can just need last income tax return file. may be have a letter saying you own a business or something. Sorry

  5. here is what the case status shows

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

what about the ds160 ? the fees to pay? medical exams ? ive been reading, but any link anyone can post thats a little more clear would be great

    Thanks guys

    Hi,

You will receive the letter soon. You need to fill ds160 online. Fees can be paid online or in respective country. Medical exam- i think it depends of consulate and country. We were told to go for medical exam after receiving the package from embassy. Ask you finance to talk to the people in embassy when he/she goes to pick up the package.

    Good luck

  6. Yay!!!! We got our visa interview in Abu dhabi. I did receive an email with instructions and appointment letter but we did not receive any hard copies... Are you supposed to??

And also for evidence of support, I don't currently work so I will add my father and mother. My dad has his own businesses. How can he get a salary letter? Does he write his own?

    Thank u!

By the way.. Those who have not received an interview appointment yet, you will get it before you know it! I waited forever to get one.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Hi,

First of all congratulations. You don't need a hard copy. Email is just fine. Ask your dad to talk with his company. They can easily issue the job letter. Make them write how long he has been working there for. He is permanent and how much he makes. Hope this helps.

    Good luck with the interview:)

  7. I pm'd you the conversation that I had with another member while going through the process. There were four of us at the time having the same issue in Haiti. All of us used a different immigrant visa type and picked it up without any issues. Though we were all very concerned that it wouldn't work.

Thank you JR. I appreciate your help. I guess I will wait for 2 days and follow your route.

    Thanks once again

  8. Did you choose Immigration Visa? Under USTRAVELDOCS K-1 is listed under immigration visa even though it's non-immigrant. Hope that helps!

Yeah, we chose the immigration visa. If you look at the link I have it is all the visa under immigration visa. So I have no idea what to do :(

    Here is the screen shot

When we did it, the k1 wasn't listed anywhere on the site. And no it doesn't mess it up. But if it's under the immigrant side, then definitely use that.

K-1 is not listed anywhere on the site for me. I checked immigrant side as well JR. No option in either Immigrant or non immigrant

  9. What we did for my fiancé was to select one of the married classes and register that way. The USTRAVELDOCS.COM people don't know and it really honestly seems like they don't care. I spent a week talking to my congressman about having the embassies pressure them into putting the k1 on there. But don't waste your breath asking the USTraveldocs.com support what to do. Good luck!

Yeah I called them few days ago and they sent me so generic answer on email which didn't help at all. I have called them again today. Hoping they will fix it. However, if I select married class will it not create a problem? Thank you for helping me out,

  10. Hi guys,

My fiancee got approved and was told to go to ustraveldocs.com and follow the step.in the given list.

It tells you to go to set new appointment and choose visa class howevere there is no K1 visa class. Anyone has anyidea what to do?

We are doing this so she can set the place to pick up her visa.

You can see there is no option. I tried to link the pic but for some reason we can't link it so please follow the link below

    Thank you

  11. Yes, also provide your own I-134 and supporting documents. You can put that you are a graduate student/intern and cover both things at once. The brother provides his own separate I-134 and supporting documentation. Provide most recent tax return and W-2 plus proof of current income with letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs. Have the co-sponsor also provide proof of being a USC or LPR, just in case it is needed.

And yes, you can put the same answer for #11 on the co-sponsor's affidavit form.

Thank you so much. I will send my I-134 and write what you said. I can send the passport copy of my co-sponsor with the package.

  12. Hi guys,

I am filling for I-134 for my fiancee and I am a graduate student how is working as a intern at a company( temp). I am making 2000 per 2 months.I have 3800 in saving account. I don't have any income other than that. My brother who is making 55,000 is cosponsoring my fiancee. I was wondering if I should fill out I-134 or should i just send my brother's i-134 form. Also

if you guys think i should send mine, should i use student or intern as a position in question 7.

I have checked the example for i-134 and for question 11 it says

N/A( K1 PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)

should i write this in my brother's affidavit of support.

    please help me.

    I am in serious problem.

    Thank you,

    suman

How do I tell them I am a graduate student and will graduate soon? or is it irrelevant?

  13. If using a co-sponsor, be sure to give the beneficiary an updated letter of intent to marry to take to their interview.

    Thank you. I will

    Then follow the Example Form.

For your 134 form you would write for the following questions, 8. None, 9. None, 10. Fiance See Example for Q 11.

For your brother's 134 form he would write 8. Name, Wholly, Age, Brother's Fiance, 9. None, 10. None, see example for Q 11

    Thank you for your help.

  14. Do i need to write a letter explaining my situation?

No, Read the Guides and Follow the Example Forms.

My brother is going to be another sponsor. He is working full time an has a good income.

Then he, as well as you, will complete the 134 forms and attach all applicable documentation as you can.

I wasn't sure what I should write as a relation?

Write where? Follow the Example Forms, link at the top of this page.

So if you check the form it ask for the relation to the person who is sponsoring. I will be fiancé. What about my brother? What should I write as a relation ? Future sister in law or family friend ? Also can you please link me the example you were talking about. Thank you.
