Thanks for the quick reply. What is so mind boggling is that his visa class showed as f24 (adult child) and as having no visas available the month after he was approved. So while the class we hoped he should have been in according to CSPA had visas, F24 did not.

Hello! VJ has always been such a great help so I’m coming back for some guidance. My in-laws petitioned for their 19yo son in September 2019. The petition was approved in November 2020, just days after their son’s 21st birthday. I believed that CSPA would protect his age for 14 months while we waited for the NVC to invite them for the rest of the process. We received the letter with the invoice ID in November 2020 and our first login in December showed the Beneficiary as an F24. We sat on it assuming we just had to wait until the NVC notified us that a visa was available. No notice was received via mail or email by the petitioner or the beneficiary and the account on the NVC website has remained unchanged. We’ve verified the contact info there as well.
So now I don’t know what to do. We all know what it’s like to contact anyone at USCIS directly. I’m thinking about going to a lawyer but if there is no way to appeal any of this, then I don’t want to waste money either. I’d appreciate any advice!
DOB - 11/4/1999
Priority Date - 9/17/2019
Approval Date - 11/8/20200
According to the visa bulletin, F2A was current at the time the petition was approved.

Just wanted to bid farewell and say thanks everyone for the support. My fiance entered the US with me last Saturday. It was a super smooth entry at San Francisco. Good luck to everyone in your various stages of the process. We'll be getting married October 4th and then the next round of paperwork begins! Thank goodness for VJ!
Feel free to PM if you have any questions for me!

Which page do i need to monitor using C4C? I know you've mentioned dashboard. So is it where the Visa info, Fee payment are located. Or is it the actual page where the appointment dates would show up when you click continue?
Thank you
If you're using C4C, hit control-A to select all on the page. It should alert you when there is any change to the page. The only alerts I got were when the page was unavailable and when an appointment was showing.

Visa in hand! We're so excited!
Thank you, VJ! I've been bragging to everyone about how I did this myself but I really couldn't have done it without this community.

OH MY GOSH! I just got a text of APPROVED from USCIS!!! Now just waiting for the hard copy to be mailed! Oh yey me! Now I can wait at the next station! Finally I'm going somewhere!
WOOHOO!!! Congrats! It's about time!

Thanks, all.

Thanks!
BTW, to all the PH filers, my fiancé said the interview was a breeze. He said that he heard multiple consul interviews and nobody was being rejected. One even forgot her birth certificate and she was still approved. They didn't ask to see our updated letter of intent or some of the other relationship evidence he brought. It was really all about checking documents off the list.

Woohoo! My fiancé's visa was approved! The consul said it was his simplest case of the day. I really don't know what I would have done without all the help I got from VisaJourney. Thank you all! My fiancé will be traveling to the US with me on 19 July.
Good luck to everyone and thank you again!

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. He's on his way to the embassy right now. Since he can't take his phone, it's going to be an agonizing 8-9 hour wait! I'll update tonight and I'll be sure to post a review of the interview for those going through Manila.
-
Two days until my fiancé's interview! We're a little nervous, but thanks to this community, I have little doubt we'll be approved. I'll give an update on Sunday.

I have received my email and text message today that we have RFE. And it has been mailed by mail. I am kind of happy because its better to know what is going on and I will let you know what the RFE about as soon as I get the mail.
Thank you all!
Progress is good! At least we know they expedite RFE responses.

Our NVC letter came a couple of weeks *after* I was able to get the number from calling. I'd encourage you to keep calling if you want to move the process along faster. Once you have the case number, you can proceed with the visa fee payment and the medical exam, and having those done positions you well for getting an interview slot when one becomes available.

Jeff, Hank, Anyone! This is crazy. This is absolutely INSANE. OK, I need some help before I really lose it.
Jeff, I have installed your add-on, set it up, and now for the first time I am seeing dates. One at a time. Randomly, throughout 24 hours. More than half a dozen since yesterday. (note, the same June 9 date has appeared 4 times so far.)
No matter the date, they are GONE in less than a minute!
I have re-set C4C to refresh every 15 seconds, and a few minutes ago a good date appeared and it was GONE in less time than I could click continue and get to the calendar page!!!
Is there some "auto-grab-this-date" that I am missing? Even if I see a date come up, and respond immediately, it is gone before I finish clicking through.
I had the same frustration before I got lucky a couple of days ago. I had the exact same thing happen on Saturday morning. My C4C alert went off and I checked within 10 seconds and the appointment was gone. I think there is just a ton of extra pressure on June cancellations right now because July hasn't been fully opened up, yet (to my knowledge). When I got my appointment on Sunday, it helped that they opened up several dates in June and July at the same time.
Just think of it this way...you're already at a big advantage over the majority of people who are looking for an appointment because you're checking so often. I know the stress you're feeling. It's awful. You'll get yours soon!
-
Did you have to wait to have your date assigned too??? Argh! Feel like I'm going to explode from anxiety until we get that date. Congratulations and sending lots of prayers and support your way!
Dates aren't assigned for K-1 in Manila. You have to try to get one and there was a major shortage of available dates for weeks. A bunch opened up yesterday. I used a cool Firefox extension called Check4Change to alert me when there was an appointment available.

After weeks of 'round-the-clock checking, we finally just got an interview appointment for the embassy in Manila. Next Monday, the 9th, is our big day!
Positive vibes for all!

Jeff,
C4C seems to require some "text" to monitor the change of. But without a calendar popping up, what "text" did you instruct C4C to check?
Once the dashboard page loads, hit ctrl-A to select all of the text on the page and then right click to get to the Check4Change menu and choose your settings. Worked like a charm for me.
-
Yay for all! I got next Monday for my fiance. We're ecstatic! The Firefox extension Check4Change saved my life!
Good luck to all!
-
YAY! I just got an appointment for next Monday! The Firefox extension Check4Change gave me an edge. I'd highly recommend it for those who are still checking.
Good luck everyone!

I'm carrying my laptop around the house with me to listen for the alert. :-D

I think they all do similar things. I'm using the C4C one in Firefox, though. When I attempted to book that appointment earlier and went to the appointments page, it showed the standard "you've viewed this page too many times" error even though the auto-refresh is happening on the dashboard. I don't know if the tool is causing some sort of timeout or if my fiance was visiting the page too many times earlier in the day PH time.
Give us JULY!!!
-
I set up a browser extension to automatically monitor for changes to the dashboard page every 30 seconds. I finally got an alert about a half-hour ago and I immediately clicked Continue to hopefully grab that appointment for June 23rd. It was already taken! In seconds! This is like trying to get tickets to the most popular event in town.

I just snagged an interview date June 19 wowwww. After all of this waiting and refreshing the page, there it was and I got it!! Yay--hope everyone waiting gets lucky soon!
UGH!!!! I've refreshed that page thousands of times! You're lucky! Wow, I wish they'd open up July. This is crazy.
I'm really, really happy for you. (groan)

Thanks. No any good attorneys who have been successful at trying to get this back on track or is this a lost cause?
