I met my husband while vacationing in Jamaica in May of 2013. We were supposed to be going out on a snorkeling tour, but we ended up talking each others heads off instead. When I left to go home, I felt like I was leaving something major behind. He called shortly after I arrived home and we decided we felt the same way. Smitten! Since that day we've never spent more than a few hours not talking to one another. It didn't take long to realize that we wanted to be married. I returned to the island to meet his son and the rest of his family and prepare for a December wedding, which took place in Negril on the beach. When I left after our honeymoon we both were so upset to be parting again. I filed the I-130 and then the I-129F and we have been going through the process ever since. Some days are OK, other days the frustration is overwhelming. Its tough to be apart from your spouse for so long, while you wait for someone to give you permission to be together. But we are determined. We are each others world and together, we are a family.
