  1. So I finally got around to contacting my representative in congress yesterday (Maryland Delaney - D). They were very quick to send the forms and I sent them back the same day. A day later (today) they called me. They called USCIS today. He called me back a couple of hours later and said I need to wait 30-60 more days and that our case is pending.

So I asked him why have I already waited since September and then its been almost 60 days since we were transferred to TSC. He said well you have to wait 5 months. I'm like then can you tell me why people with priority dates of October are already being approved? Why did people who were transferred to CSC already have their documents at NVC? He asked me how I knew this. I told him I follow the forums on VisaJourney.com and they keep spreadsheets. His response was oh I know this website they are misinformed! I was like so you're telling me hundreds of people are conspiring to put out misinformation and that the spreadsheets to track NOA1/NOA2 are all faked?

Needless to say I was more frustrated talking to him. He had no real answers for me. I'm left feeling that the conspiracy is with the inefficiency of their approval process. I know they receive tens of thousands of applications. But honestly how hard is it review these applications? If they had this set up digitally imagine how much faster it would go and you couldn't submit it until its completed.

Having recently worked for a government organization where I think about 50% of the employees were H1B Visa contractors, I felt compelled to ask him how long it takes to get one of those Visa's. There was a LONG pause. He retorted with its very complicated and loaded question. I was like so how is that I've been married to my husband since 2012 in Germany and we have to wait so long? I don't think companies are waiting 18 months just to get an H1B approved? I finished with telling him that the day I married my husband I could have walked into the city hall in our tiny village that we lived in and been granted residency!

He did agree the process was broken and gave me Congressman Delaney's canned immigration speech. I thanked him for being so quick to respond. He said he will leave my case open and call USCIS again in 45 days.

Good luck everyone.. I guess the TSC transfers got the shaft.

    Hey Joe and Vlad

I have been watching yours because you are right by me. I filed 11 sept and transferred NSC 26 Feb. Two service requests - first one lost second one sent to NBC by mistake. Emails to everyone including USCIS Ombudsman -6o days just about up - SO - today my status was finally updated and……….transferred again to local USCIS office. So frustrated but luckily had a Infopass for tomorrow anyhow. Am told today that NSC is sending a lot of people to local field offices trying to handle cases hitting 60 days. Also told I will do the interview now instead of later and seems like it could be a little faster. but frustrated is AN UNDERSTATEMENT…….

It isn't 5 months that you have to wait again - it is 60 days. Don't let them tell you that.

  2. I just wanted to let anyone still waiting know (I guess this is directed at anyone at the VSC mostly) that I was approved 4/11. My PD is 10/1 (so I thought this might be relevant since I'm so close to September. Anyway, my case status online has never changed from initial review and I received no emails. However yesterday I received the hard copy of the approval saying I was approved on 4/11. So maybe some people are really approved and just don't know it yet. I received the letter 5 days after I was approved and I live only about 3 hours from the VSC center.

Hey AmberG - congrats to you both!!!

  3. I don't any movement for us September filers has been made by CSC in almost a week! What the heck is going on!? We just want to move on!

I have thought to check out the October filers thread but decided against it because I think it will just end in frustration for me..... :clock:

If you don't want to be frustrated then definitely don't look at November either………..:( No movement at NSC either

  4. Thanks, bdrew. Maybe I will try this. :) What are the chances that this will work? Do you know what it's about?

I have some email addresses for you and the ombudsman's name… now that November are being given NOA2 - which is so depressing - its time to jump on board the "stir up train"……..

Start here and copy all to one email

    Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov, donald.w.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov, Rendell.jones@dhs.gov

Mention the USCIS Ombudsman by make - Maria Odum - and say you are copying here AND Rob Cowan AND Jim McCament - all HQ people who they don't want being

harassed by emails. They will jump onto this. I mentioned in my email the release of emails regarding errors in processing in order at NSC because of lack of labeling boxes.

Do it right now!! Be polite, well mannered but very to the point of enough is enough - I am watching November people being processed and my wife and I have heard nothing since…….

  5. Wow- You have been waiting so long. I really hope you are approved soon. What service center is your application at right now?

Nebraska…. so long and no RFE or anything… it is crazy

I really hope the rest of us September filers get some sort of notice soon, whether it's an approval or at LEAST an RFE! This is getting ridiculous!

you know…..I would take an RFE - an interview - anything really…. just some kind of acknowledgement that HEY - I am past the 5 month time, I am past the 15 day Service Request………..and I am still here!!!!

  6. I know I had asked before on this forum about filing a service request- my PD is 10/1 so it is pretty close to some people on here (nearly September). Just wanted to share what happened when I called USCIS today.

I talked to the first person on the phone (tier 1) and the representative did it for me. She just asked me the normal info/ questions and confirmed that I was in fact out of processing time. There was no mention of waiting 60 days after the transfer or anything.

I have no idea if it will help, but at least I tried and they did let me. I know some people from September and October said that they weren't allowed to file a request...but maybe it has to do with the representative so try again? Because I had no problem at all doing it.

I had the exact same experience and even enjoyed a laugh with the representative. no wait time either!!

  7. Evidence that letters and fax from petitioners were being considered. They were discussing the implications of this letters being sent to congress and ombudsman. PLUS the kicker.. Since the letter didn't request anything in particular (i.e. an expedite) they let the case go through normal processing. I am wondering if this person had asked that the case be expedited based on this info, if they would have done it!

Very likely that the letter in question is from someone on VJ.

    See attached.

Holy where did you get this???? This should never have been released to the public - WOW AWESOME FIND!!!

  8. The proving will not be a problem because we have multiple pictures that our relationship is legit. We even have multiple friends and family members. So should I call back the agent and say that we are married and we are filing the I 130 and I 485. Because he specifically stated, if he doesn't here from me, he will put out a warrant for my arrest (Keep in mind, I have never done anything wrong during my stay here, neither do I intend to.)? Also If i do call, will the marriage and the filling process help my case?

How long have you been out of status for? I would file the I130 and 485 immediately and then contact them.

  9. No i didnt got any hard copy for the second time transfer and the lady told my wife the case still pending and you have to wait another 5 months but when they transfered it to NSC the attached another paper said you have to wait 60 days

I dont know whats going on

Yes the date changed in the status and also 2 days ago i changed my address online also the date change

When my case was transferred to NSC they told me 60 days - but I had already waited 6 months so called and they put in a service request. I think you need to call again and ask for a service request

  10. Okay, so I'm a little ticked off. I just called the USCIS costumer service number and after waiting almost 2 hours to speak to a Tier 2 representative (couldn't use the call back feature because I'm calling from Mexico), the girl tried to tell me that we were NOT outside of the "normal" processing times because we were transferred to NSC 30 days ago and the timeframe for NSC is 5 months. What a load of #######! I told her, "so you mean to tell me that because our case was transferred 5 months after the original date, the timeframe starts over again?" She told me no, that's not how it works and that she still would not be able to process a service request for me. I really don't even feel like calling back and waiting another 2 hours to see if someone else will tell me something different. :(

I would definitely call back. I called two days ago, waited 5 minutes and got a service request. I filed on 11th Sept and transferred to NSC on 26th Feb.

  11. Most states now have legalized medical marijuana. All he needs to do is pay $200 and get a license from a doctor (many do it) and he can legally buy from a dispensary in many states. Because it is becoming legal in so many states in the USA I do not see it as a problem.

Also - if he lives in Canada I believe medical marijuana is legal there -and as he smokes in Canada and lives there - when he fills out that form he will NOT be committing any crime by stating that he does in fact smoke pot.

  12. im a newbie and this situation hopefully wont pose a problem for my fiance but he used to smoke regularly recreationally but really it just helped him sleep. he isnt an addict but should we be worried? should he be making sure he has months free of use to prove no addiction or has anyone got any advice? we planned on marrying next month small civil ceremony while he intends on continuing to work and maintain residence in Canada until he gets CR1.thanks

sorry im american citizen living in usa. hes canadian living and working in canada
