i was not sure where to ask this qw:

I got a green card last year and it is valid for 2 years. But I had to leave USA in December 2014 from family reason and it seems I will be out of the USA longer than 6 months, possibly longer than one year. Can I contact somebody so that i do not loose the chance to be in USA legally with my spouse? Or I will have to ask for it again and go again through the same process?

Ohhh, I'm sorry, when you initially said "form", I thought you were referring to the new form I just put together for requests on the spreadsheets To answer your initial question, I'd suggest never leaving anything blank. Depending on the question, write 'none' or 'N/A'.

An extension shouldn't cause to many problems, as long as he includes the extension letter in the AOS package.

And I don't know how owing taxes affects anything. A joint sponsor might be a good idea in your case though.

Hi Saylin,

my husband-petitioner, wants to ask for the extention time for taxes today, is it permitted when we are about to get a case number from the visa center next week? I am telling him that it will cause us problems, and he says he also owns some money on taxes from previous years. Will this also mean that we will need sponsor cuz of his failures from past?
