  1. There was a thread about this recently, some people were suggesting you cannot attend the medical whilst on your period. I don't know what the end result was.

I was in fact on my period when I attended my medical in October. They still check. It's just a split second. I was mortified but I underst why they check.

  2. I have just booked my medical for November 24th.

I have all documents ready to go.

I just need to fill in the DS-160 and notice of readiness, which I do after the medical if I'm not mistaken?

Highly unlikely you'll get an interview date that's before Christmas.

  3. Ok, So I had my medical in London, I passed and was told the results were sent to the London embassy. I was then informed I had to go to the Ais.usvisa-info.com page, Make new account and pay the visa fee before the embassy will schedule an interview. Which I've done.

On the site, it's now on a page that says "Schedule" And is asking for date of appointment. I haven't yet got this. So, now I've paid, will the embassy now schedule interview? I don't want to mess this up!!!

  4. Call the doctor back and ask. If I'm reading accurately, it seems that this doctor is simply concerned about your overall health and isn't just "mailing in" his professional duties. He noticed concerning laboratory results that he wants you to discuss with your own GP. More doctors should be like this embassy-medical doctor.

Please keep that Nov. 10 appointment with your GP. Diabetes mellitus can often be fought off, or its worst impacts minimized, if it's caught early.

I passed the actual medical, He said he just wants me to get the screening done as I have a high BMI. Wasn't a major concern, Pretty routine apparently.
  5. Had my medical today and it went well. Had chest x ray, Bloods taken, Blood pressure checked, Vision tested and a thorough body check including genitals.

All was great and then the doctor said I would need to contact my gp for a diabetic screening.

The earliest appointment I can get is November 10th. I'm worried as the interview won't be booked without medical results. Or can I contact the embassy un a week and ask?

  6. I had my medical today, Which went great. Then right as I was about to leave, The doctor said he wants me to contact MY gp to get a diabetic screening.

The earliest they can is the 10th of November. Will the medical results be delayed in being sent to the embassy until then? ?

  7. Once you have your medical date you can fill the form.

It asks when the medical is/was, so if like me you fill it in when you are the medical date, you should receive your interview quicker.

I got mine about a week after the medical, and my interview was two weeks after that.

Filled them both in today! :) now I wait lol

  8. US Embassy London will not schedule an interview until after they have received your medical results.

    Kind regards,

Thank you, I wasn't sure! So after medical, Do I then submit readiness form online?

  9. I'm sorry, Need clear help lol. I've got medical booked for Monday in London and wondered how to book interview. I'm finding conflicting information. Do I need to pay visa fees now? What readiness forms do I submit? Thank you.

  10. If you know your case is already in London already, you can call and set up your medical and do the DS-160 and notification of applicant readiness form. Unless you want to wait a bit for the packet, that's your call. We called and scheduled our medical right away so we moved things along.

I'm waiting for documentation for packet 3 to arrive from my fiancé in the usa and my police certificate. Can I book medical without these? They'll be here by next week.
