There was a thread about this recently, some people were suggesting you cannot attend the medical whilst on your period. I don't know what the end result was.
I was in fact on my period when I attended my medical in October. They still check. It's just a split second. I was mortified but I underst why they check.

Landed in the USA last night. Feels SO surreal that I finally made it!! :)
-
Visa in hand today! Fly out Friday! ????
-
Had my interview on the 18th December. APPROVED! Hoping to receive visa soon so I can travel back to the usa with my fiancé :/ He flew over for the interview in London with me

I have just booked my medical for November 24th.
I have all documents ready to go.
I just need to fill in the DS-160 and notice of readiness, which I do after the medical if I'm not mistaken?
Highly unlikely you'll get an interview date that's before Christmas.
-
I finally got my interview date on December 18th. I'm just worried about delays in getting visa in hand due to Christmas
We have sent a request in to get ours changes to an earlier date.
You should try the same
We just did that. Was hoping to be home by Christmas.

Interview on 18th December. Fiancé flying over on the 17th to be there with me! We were hoping to fly home together a few days after Christmas but don't know how likely this is, Given there'll probably be delays in issuing my visa as it's the Holidays.

So I'm all good and just wait now??
-
I was told by the embassy that I wouldnt get an interview without paying. They received my medical results on the 5th of November, My DS-160 was completed in October and my readiness was submitted after my medical on the 23rd oct.
-
After the payment screen it's asking for appointment info. I don't have a date yet, so do we just wait??
-
Ok, So I had my medical in London, I passed and was told the results were sent to the London embassy. I was then informed I had to go to the Ais.usvisa-info.com page, Make new account and pay the visa fee before the embassy will schedule an interview. Which I've done.
On the site, it's now on a page that says "Schedule" And is asking for date of appointment. I haven't yet got this. So, now I've paid, will the embassy now schedule interview? I don't want to mess this up!!!

I passed the actual medical, He said he just wants me to get the screening done as I have a high BMI. Wasn't a major concern, Pretty routine apparently.Call the doctor back and ask. If I'm reading accurately, it seems that this doctor is simply concerned about your overall health and isn't just "mailing in" his professional duties. He noticed concerning laboratory results that he wants you to discuss with your own GP. More doctors should be like this embassy-medical doctor.
Please keep that Nov. 10 appointment with your GP. Diabetes mellitus can often be fought off, or its worst impacts minimized, if it's caught early.

Had my medical today and it went well. Had chest x ray, Bloods taken, Blood pressure checked, Vision tested and a thorough body check including genitals.
All was great and then the doctor said I would need to contact my gp for a diabetic screening.
The earliest appointment I can get is November 10th. I'm worried as the interview won't be booked without medical results. Or can I contact the embassy un a week and ask?
-
I had my medical today, Which went great. Then right as I was about to leave, The doctor said he wants me to contact MY gp to get a diabetic screening.
The earliest they can is the 10th of November. Will the medical results be delayed in being sent to the embassy until then? ?
-
Once you have your medical date you can fill the form.
It asks when the medical is/was, so if like me you fill it in when you are the medical date, you should receive your interview quicker.
I got mine about a week after the medical, and my interview was two weeks after that.
Filled them both in today! now I wait lol
-
US Embassy London will not schedule an interview until after they have received your medical results.
Kind regards,
Thank you, I wasn't sure! So after medical, Do I then submit readiness form online?
-
If you want to know the London process, read the posts in this short thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/
The conflicting information may be coming from reading in the K1 forum and hearing what happens in other countries. The method at each embassy is not the same.
THANK YOU! xx

I'm sorry, Need clear help lol. I've got medical booked for Monday in London and wondered how to book interview. I'm finding conflicting information. Do I need to pay visa fees now? What readiness forms do I submit? Thank you.
-
Perfect. Thank you! To book, Do I just call them in Knightsbridge? x[/quote
Let us know when you get the medical date
Will do!
-
I would wait until you have your police certificate to book the medical. You need to take it to the medical
Perfect. Thank you! To book, Do I just call them in Knightsbridge? x
-
If you know your case is already in London already, you can call and set up your medical and do the DS-160 and notification of applicant readiness form. Unless you want to wait a bit for the packet, that's your call. We called and scheduled our medical right away so we moved things along.
I'm waiting for documentation for packet 3 to arrive from my fiancé in the usa and my police certificate. Can I book medical without these? They'll be here by next week.

Correct me if I'm wrong but your new marriage isn't legal and cannot be recognised as being so as your divorce wasn't final.
