Hi guys,
I have question regarding my passport. My interview is scheduled for March 16th and my passport expires on August 14th which means at the time of the interview it will be only be valid for another 5 months. My question is at the time of the interview does my passport need to be valid for another 6 months as they suggest on some of the other forms.. I don't really want to go through the process of renewing it unless its absolutely necessary of course.
Thanks!

Received my P4 letter today. My CC date was 12/3/2014, the interview will be on 3/16/2015 at the Ankara Consulate..

Is anyone else experiencing trouble reaching NVC??
-
I received a CC on December 3rd and still have no interview date scheduled...does it take this long for an embassy to schedule an interview??
I'm starting to become worried..
-
Last scan date was 10/14 and yes it was a checklist.
-
Case was completed on 12/03 and I received the email today.
-
My AOS scan date was 6/04 and IV was 8/06 but I received a checklist for both AOS & IV packages in and had a new scan date of 10/14.
-
Just spoke with a NVC rep and was told our case was completed yesterday.

Thanks!! I will call to confirm in a few minutes. I'm so happy this nightmare will be over soon, I have been at the NVC since the end of April. I wish everyone here waiting a speedy NVC process!

Just checked the NVC site and my AOS has changed to N/A but the IV still shows PAID. Does this mean case complete?? My last scan date is 10/14 for a checklist

Our checklist was scanned in on 10/14 and were still waiting for a response...

Looking at the CC's recently is it safe to assume that the NVC is now reviewing checklists in under 60 days??

Just when I thought it couldnt get worse
I got an RFE for 1864 at the same time I was able to pay for my IV package. I sent them at the same time in August and the 19th of this month is my 60 days. I just got an email today and I was so excited I thought it was going to be a case complete, but no it was another RFE for the 1864 again! Another one Which means another 60 days I was at work when I got it, and thank God my mom is my boss! I went and cried for maybe an hour! It means my husband will not be with me for the holidays! I am a complete mess and when I called them they told me its, because on a section there should have been a 1 to count myself for my household! BUT THE COMPUTER PUT IT THERE AUTOMATICALLY! Apparently it didnt print that way and she even told me my total number was correct
I am so depressed! I was counting on an arrival in early december and now it looks like February!
I wish they could use my original and attach it to my new one, between the two of them they are correct
Did this happen to anyone and it take less than 60 days for the RFE to go through?

I called NVC last Friday and was told I have a checklist for my IV package but still have not received the email. This is my second checklist which means another 60 days, I'm absolutely heart broken at this point... My checklist will likely get reviewed in December and I will have spent 8months waiting at NVC unless something magical happens and they start reviewing packages quicker.
I've submitted an expedite request last week unrelated to my checklist and hope that it's approved. I currently live in Turkey with my husband and the embassy here has issued a security warning for its citizens due to the ISIS attacks that are happening at the Syrian border about possible terrorist attacks against US citizens living in Turkey...I explained my personal situation in the hope that I might get an expedite but who knows...

I have a scan date of August 6th for both packages and still no news from NVC. I'm hoping to hear something this week, October will be my 6th month at NVC!

I received my NVC number today but the IIN is still not available. How long does it generally to take receive the IIN??
-
Do you receive your NVC number via email or through the mail system?? I currently live aboard so I hope I will receive an email instead of waiting for a hard copy letter...
I've already started calling NVC to find out if I have been assigned a case number but something is wrong with their line and I cannot get through. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Our case was also approved on April 8th!
-
Thanks for the heads up!
I hope I wont have to go through that process and hopefully that letter will reach me at my current address.
-
thank you!
I called earlier and was transferred to a Tier 2 rep and he told me that the address on file was correct and that I should expect to receive a letter soon. If don't receive the letter in a week or two I plan on doing a address change to my US address.

Hi All,
I have a question regarding the hard copy NOA letters which some have been receiving via mail. I've been tracking my case online and have not received any hard copy notification letters though the mail system. After receiving an email regarding my NOA1, I called the USCIS to let them know that I still hadn't received the actual letter in the mail (it had past a month since I received the email) the officer told me that because I filed from abroad I would not receive the hard copy letter. I also called another time and was not really given any information and was told to keep tracking my case online and that all the information was there anyway. I'm really confused because my case was transferred recently to another office and that its currently being processed (I don't know which office because the email said that the hard copy letter would give that information).
Has this happened to anyone? I'm not sure whether they are not mailing them or if the letters are being lost in the mail system somehow?
Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

Thanks Orra02! After doing more research on the embassy site, I've learned that it does indeed need to be 6 months valid during the time of the interview so I will be renewing it
