  1. Hi John and Estela,

my case was a K1 visa, so i don't have an idea how long it takes the DCF, but I was reading the DCF General Info Guide and seams that is a really fast process, all you need now is your pack and schedule the interview and right after the interview if everything is Ok you guys will get the visa. If you have a case number or some reference number you can call the consulate and ask about the pack, I am pretty sure they will have some information about it.

    God bless!

  2. Hello

I am in the same situation, in my case the Biometrics appt letter was returned by the post office and since September I was trying to get this letter delivered, I had an infopass and I had to call three times and finally after 3 months of waiting I got the letter re-sent

I will try to go there on Saturday and if it didn't work I will have an infopass to try to re-schedule...

Has someone gone on Saturdays? I have no idea about what time is the office (ASC) is opened, I am assuming is opened on Saturday because we have this option to re-schedule on the wednesday or Saturdays...

    Good luck to you!

  3. "Congratulations on being transfered to CSC ... I have added you to the Transfer List ..."

Reading all the experiences here, I am very happy to be in the Transfer List!!! Just need to solve this Biometris stuff... I hope to come back soon with good news ;)

Contact Congress right away to make sure everything stays smooth and you will be fine, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi

Thank you for the hint... sorry for my ignorance, what do you mean when you say Congress? would be the USCIS 1-800 ? or should I try a congressman?

  4. In my case I didn't receive the 2nd NOA, but an e-mail saying that the 2nd NOA was returned to the USCIS as undelivered by the post office... I sent this email with my AOS pack and I did get a RFE because of that...

We called and requested again (because we had requested before), but I am afraid it will not arrive, because I've read so many experiences here...

I scheduled an infopass and II am wondering if I can get this returned 2nd NOA during my infopass... has someone had some similar situation? getting a second copy of a notification that has being returned to the USCIS? by the way I also had another written notice returned about my EAD, it is another reason for my infopass, I will try to find out what is that written notice.

    Thank you for reading...

  5. Thank you!!

I got a infopass for next week, but I am just curious about something... when you have some written notice or NOA returned to USCIS the local office can provide you a copy again? In my case my 2nd NOA for my K1 visa was returned to them... what they are requisting now for my AOS (RFE)... I am wondering if I can get this returned 2nd NOA during my infopass too... has someone had some similar situation?

    take care

    Simone

  6. Hi There!!

I have some doubts about the EAD process… I applied the I765 with my AOS in Aug.05th, and I did get my 1st NOA for both of them on Aug.17th. Until now I didn’t receive the appointment letter for my biometrics, but I did receive a RFE for my AOS, all arrived at my current address…

Now checking my status on line I got the message that a written notice for my EAD was sent to me but returned to them, I don’t know why… my doubt is what could be this written notice? Could be the appointment letter for biometrics?

Anyway I will call them… just curious to hear some opinions… I was researching here and I couldn’t find any case where there is a RFE for the first EAD

    Thank you for reading…

    Receipt Number: MSC0631513737

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

    Current Status:

Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by

the post office on September 7, 2006. To update the mailing address so

this notice can be re-sent, please call the National Customer Service

  7. We got our K-1 visa in Brussels last week.... yay!!!!

We've just bought a one-way plane ticket from Brussels to Baltimore, with her port of entry at JFK. The price was good. This seemed prfectly logical, but it occurred to me that I should check here. Is it necessary or advisable to get a round-trip ticket instead?

In Brazil, when I was checking the tickets, round trip was cheaper, and the tourist agency said to me it would not be possible to send a one-way ticket with my visa  , but I didn't research to know about this...

    best wishes!!!

  8. yup.. need more info as to the reason of denial to move on.

    Some confusions with dates :

1st : on her wedding certificate, because she booked their wedding in the court some days before he arrived in Brazil, and this date shows in the wedding certificate... 3 days before his arrival in Brazil

2nd: she had a tourist visa denied 5 months before meeting her future husband on line and started a relationship... so the Consul said he doesn't like coincidences like this ... in my opinion he thinks they have a fake relationship...

I know they are suffering a lot now, and they really love each other, it is because I am looking to information and wanting to help them... although I still have my own problems with my K1 to solve but would nice to gave them some information...

  9. Hi there!!

I am not a K3 applicant, I am going through my K1 process, but during my process I have met a friend, and we had our interview at the same day, she had her K3 denied, and she said to me that she had her I130 aproved, but as I don't know anything about K3 I can't help her... reading here this forum, I could notice that she could abandon her k3, it is a pity she didn't do this and went to the K3 interview instead...

well, now they are kind of lost in what to do and I would like to help them with some information, and I would like to know if someone here have already seen some similar situation, like being denied for K3...

    Thank you!!!

  10. My fiance is a citizen of Brazil and she just had her interview at the consulate in Rio. The CO asked for documentation relating to my child support. I am concerned because 6 years ago I was involved in a work related accident and was out of work for 3 years. During this time I accrued arrears in my child support. Aside from this period of time I have never missed a payment prior to the accident or in the 2.5 years I have been working after the accident when I was finally able to obtain work again. I currently am paying back the arrears that has built up and likewise have not missed a payment. I am concerned about any possible problems this arrear may cause. Would this be grounds for denial of the K1 VISA? Thanks,

  11. If you are setup w/garnishments from your paycheck for child support, it's possible that you have a court order thru support enforcement in your state. All u have to do is speak to someone at your local support enforcement office and get a copy of your court order. The person to speak to would be your caseworker. That document would be your proof.

    Sweetee

thanks Sweetee I will try this. I appreciate the suggestion. Mike ... I wish you guys the best of luck!

  12. I just don't buy the fact that a man in a long-term relationship with a healthy sex life still somehow "needs" to look at pictures of strangers.

I agree with that..... I guess in my beliefs i think that even though they aren't physically doing anything with someone else, It is still an issue if they are thinking about it in their heads. I don't know I am a christian, so i believe in the whole if you even look at a women with lust you have also commited adultery with her. Just how I grew up and I can't change that. I don't know ...

Just a guys opinion ... I agree with you, this is something that he should not be looking at. I too think your best course of action is to sit down and have an open talk with him, without being argumentative. I wish you the best.

  13. My fiance had her interview today in Rio and everything seemed to go fine except for one thing. They told her we needed a document showing proof that I am paying my child support from a previous marriage. I am not sure what documentation to provide. I have my support set up so that it is automatically deducted from my pay, and it shows this on the pay stub. Does anyone out there know if this would be acceptible proof?

We appreciate anyones comments or suggestions.

    Thanks
