  1. Do you check the ceac website? Put in your case number and you will see the date with the most recent update on your case.

I was checking daily, hourly even, and literally the day after my Case Status was updated, I received Packet 3 in the mail, and the exact same thing happened for my interview date. Keep checking and when you see the date has updated, you will know they have sent you something and you will receive it the next day or the day after, depending on where you are. They send it first class.

We have watched the CEAC website everyday. London received our case the 17th (first update) then they updated it the 18th and then the 19th. whiteyadams (my fiance) had his medical on the 22nd. The case was then updated today, the 25th. He has still not received the first set of paperwork. Which we think is strange.

  2. I know! Just insane that it's almost done. This part at least lol. So now I'll wait for packet 3 yes?

If you know your case is already in London already, you can call and set up your medical and do the DS-160 and notification of applicant readiness form. Unless you want to wait a bit for the packet, that's your call. We called and scheduled our medical right away so we moved things along.

  3. Keep trying! Sometimes it talks constant trying to call! We got our NOA2 August 25th also and I called each day for the past week and a half. Finally on the 11th we got our case number! We did not receive an email confirmation. Once you get your case number you can go here for the next steps ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? once it says ready you can book your medical and do your forms online for the London embassy/ pay for visa.

    Hope this helps!

  4. You can indeed schedule the medical. I scheduled mine as soon as my file was in transit, and everything went fine! Some people say do it, some people say don't cos it will mess stuff up. Meh. I did it cos I knew my file would arrive at the embassy before my medical results, and it did. It's up to you though!

Thank you!!! We are going to schedule it tomorrow :)

  5. USCIS will send Form I-797C, Notice of Action, to a customer in order to communicate information related to notices of:

    • receipt,
    • rejection,
    • transfer,
    • re-open, and
    • appointment (fingerprint, biometric capture, interview, rescheduled).

If you receive a Form I-797C in the mail, please pay close attention to what it says. Ignoring the instructions in a Notice of Action might delay your case.

That is taken directly from the USCIS website here: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/form-i-797c-notice-action

    It is your NOA 1
