school, stay positive and vibrant for your daughter and be very aware

In my current situation I really need Help!!!

Little bit about my self. I am Ukrainian. In 2000 I met my husband and then we got married . Came to America in 2001, we lived here for 4 years and then we moved to Ukraine, in 2012 we decided to go back to US, my husband came first and now we (me and our daughter) came here too.

After we arrived in September 2014 a few days later, I find out that my husband has another woman and it looks like he is not going to try to save our family, even though he knows her only a few months. Big SHOCK for me!!!

He is willing to help us with everything right now.

You will probably ask, then why did he bring us here. Well, I had same question too. In Ukraine we have a war right now and we lived in a region where is mostly danger. So he said that it is safe here and we have a better future in America (because my first thought was to go back, I don't know what is actually better at this point, stay here and go through this pain or go back..........) So this is a reason why we are here.

My questions are: Can I divorce him or we have to stay married for two years ? What is my rights and what can I do if anything ?

I am bringing my stepdaughter here and am still waiting for the IV fee (I check everyday!!). I was wondering if there is ANYTHING to do to make it go faster?? She has .. issues? Her ex boy friend is a member of the MS-13 street gang and has been threatening her life and the life of her mother and little brother. They don't report things to the police because most of them are corrupt. I feel like we are so close to bringing her here but SO FREAKING FAR. My husband is freaking out because there is nothing we can do...

You can try and write an email to NVCExpedite@state.gov in subject write case # and Attention PI Supervisor. They usually respond quickly.

You need to explain the situation. Also in your email write full name,DOB and case # of the beneficiary. Wish you a Best of Luck!!!

Guys, I feel so much of your pain too... I have expedite approved in April and still waiting for CC, all this process is total BS, I am mad, upset, frustrated...

OMG if your case isn't expeditable then what the heck is! There is something very wrong here just doesn't make sense that you aren't already with your husband while others get expedited just because they live with their spouse. I'm so very sorry and I pray you and your daughter will be safe until this madness ends and your go home to your husband.

I am loosing my mind...... One and a half week before 30 business days and I get letter from NVC about delay, because they got to many cases from USCIS. I waited patiently for almost 6 month being at NVC, is it a joke? First of all we already paid one month, because of somebody's mistake (wrong case #) and now this.

I like theirs expedite very much too... Me and my daughter have been living in a fear for last several months, getting up in the middle of the night, because bombs are flying over your house and what NVC said, the expedite doesn't effect on reviewing documents. GREAT!!! Thank you, NVC very much for your kindness!!!

Did you speak to a supervisor? If not do so and tell them you have an approved expedite.

No, I didn't talk with supervisor, but this time I will ask my husband to call and talk to them.

Hi, I'm really sorry about your situation, and that the NVC rep didn't allow you to take the birth certificates to the interview (very inconsiderate, taking into account your situation)

I asked NVC about expediting, and they told me that they only expedite the interview, not the process itself... Meaning that they will give you the interview date sooner, but you still have to wait for CC like everyone else...

I tried to request one myself because of Venezuela's violent political protests and insecurity, but I don't know if it is approved yet.. Obviously Ukraine's situation is much worse, but I can always try, right?

Yes. I understand it all fully, but I know about other people cases from Ukraine (because I talked to them) and how it all went and this is sad. The thing is, when they process theirs cases, there was not much danger like it is now.

I'm in the same boat. They keep sending me the checklists for Ds-261. Sent it 3 times already. IV fee is not invoiced so far. This expedite is a complete BS. Question: did you send all original documents for IV paperwork? Any idea if we will get them back?

Yes. I did send all original documents and in my cover letter I requested to return them at the interview. Where is your family located, I am right at Lugansk region. And yes, I agree with you 100% about expedite

Yes, May 13 and they don't say nothing about IV Packet ( I just know that EMS delivered it on May 16, I know that they reviewing it because they requested another birth certificate for my daughters case - her old birth certificate from Ukraine (before adoptions), they didn't like theirs from US....WF? I asked if I can bring it to the embassy,because we are at war here in my region, ( since I know for sure that other VJ members who brought theirs wives form Ukraine under expedite request, brought all docs to the embassy and did't send IV Packet to NVC). Well they told me NO, I have to send it to them. Thank God, that EMS started work again and I were able to send it.

Yeah, I do hope too,that it won't take too long, we are only 45-60 ml from location where all fighting is going on. I did request another expedite today again.

When I realized our lawyer made a huge mistake in the AOS 1 day after he sent it, I just printed out the Barcode page and resent the corrected AOS. There is a different barcode for checklists( dept cade) and for IV packages BUT NVC told me it is just a matter of walking it over to the correct dept.

It will get scanned with your case number so they will know there is mail waiting for review for your file. Its all good. Don't worry.

Packet 4 is the interview letter; there is no bar-coded cover sheet. Do you mean the IV package instead? (IV isn't the Roman numeral for 4, it's the letters IV - Immigrant Visa)

And no, you won't get a checklist for the wrong bar-coded cover sheet. It may just delay it in a tiny bit as they re-route it to the correct department and verify you paid the IV bill. There is absolutely NO need to re-send the package with the correct bar-coded cover sheet. Just sit tight and wait.

I don't know about other VJ members, but me personally, VERY tired from NVC and theirs inconsistency . I requested an expedite due to situation in my country and another reason, so our daughter will be able to start new school year in US in time. NVC pre approved our expedite, but they said that they need to get AOS an IV docs, so we did. I called them today to see how long it will take to review it and rep told me 20-30 days and that expedite doesn't matter (SO what good does it do to have an expedite?????) BS...... I know for sure, that two other members from VJ, who requested an expedite for theirs family members from Ukraine got it approved right after NVC received all docs from them. WHY WHY WHY it always different, not just for me for other VJ members too ( RjKatya he didn't even send IV package to the NVC his wife brought it to the embassy) First I got wrong case number, because some Idiot made a mistake and it took them 3 weeks to fix it.

Every day is getting worse and worse here, where I and our daughter at and I don't know what to do. I am scared and frustrated GOD, please HELP us All!!!!! I pray every day! We don't want a lot, we just want to be together with our loved ones, I don't think we are asking too much!

My husband sent wrong Bar Coded Cover Sheet for AOS, he sent one for Packet 4 instead. Will we get check list????

And can my husband re send correct cover sheet or he have to re send entire AOS package. Any idea.
