  1. the denial is possible for everyone, there could be millions of explanations for a visa denial but a ban forever, there should be too many reasons for that. What could result in a ban for all life? I know that if you violate immigrations laws, such as overstaying , working under tourist , student visa etc.., gives you 3 or 10 years ban. but even in these you can file a waiver. Well the reason should be one of the sections on Ds 230 Part II. Most people doesnt have to answer those but I believe they apply to everyone. Some of the sections should get to file a waiver but some of them definitely would result in ban for all life.

  2. ANY Mercedes-AMG will eat GTO for lunch and Mustangs for dinner hands down.

The new AMG line up has 2 engine options 6.3L V8 producing 510hp(the strongest Naturaly Aspirated V8 in the world) and 6.0L V12 Bi-Turbo producing 604HP (6th strongest production engine in the world)

The slowest AMG car will run 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds. V12 ones are sub 4 second beasts. all day 11 second (1/4mile) and traps 120+.

Corvette Z06 is the only true sport car America produces. But still lacks the build quality and luxuary the European cars offer. However its the fastest car for the money.

I still would take a Ferrari F430, a true masterpiece.

well, just some info about Dodge , Chrysler, Jeep. These car makers belongs to ChryslerBenz group and they share a lot of Mercedes parts. For example , Chrsler Crossfire was built on the old SLK chassis(R170) it shares the same 3.2L V6 supercharged engine(slightly detuned) same tranny, brakes and all.

  3. try beatport.com 100s of labels 1000s or artists. high quality rips direct from the vinyls. but i dont like mp3s . im a vinyl guy. i just dont get the same feeling from anything else. have to feel the torque on the plater when i beat match. I love the ability to search over the track in matter of seconds , just move the needle up and down. Denon Dsn and Pioneer cdjs are cool too but still....

well i agree with you not much electronica in the US. only in some major cities. but once you enjoyed electronic music , you cant really enjoy anything else.

for vinyls, you can try www.planetxusa.com i have been shopping from there for like 5 years , no problems so far.

well radio stations.. www.deepmix.ru is the way for minimal. i used to enjoy www.protonradio.com too. but too much progressive nowadays.

hard to list the fave djs , there are so many. but there are some that are veterans like terry franciss, terry lee brown, swayzak...

  4. yes it does mean the later one. on the 15th of december(this month) NVC is going to sit down have my case on the desk and give a call to ankara and discuss the possible dates available and assign one of them to my case. my case was complete on november22nd so i will have my interview later than the guys who was complete between november 15th-21st. but my date should be sooner than anyday after 22nd.

she said they usually schedule dates for the following month(january in this case) but the dates available are limited and NVC will not guarantee the following month or the month following that and so on.

for your wife. maybe it is better for her to not to tell about the immigrant visa petition at the poe. i have heard they denied some ppl saying they should wait for their immigrant visa and cancel their B1/B2.

if she was any nationality other than turkish , she would be fine but american officals dont like the turks anymore and they usually give hard time to them. i know what you think but its not 9/11 that changed it. its the turkish parliement rejected the note in 2002 when america was going on a war with iraq. since then no more alies, no more friendship but all sort of hardship.

well ds 230 is pretty easy to fill out for a person who has never been to usa. but its quite difficult for us bc we have to state each visit , each visa, purposes, how long we stayed and all that.

part 2 is easy too. you say NO to all of them.(mostly questions like are you a terrorist, prostitute, etc..) only 5 countries plus the ones in africa does the part 2 which puts ppl into lowering themself and emberrased. having to sign the paper in front of the officer saying i am not a terrorist and stuff. this is what i meant with turkey and america no more alies. and all sort of hardship. there are hardly barely any terrorist from turkey and i dont know any problems from the turks to america(people wise). but they put us in the black list. this is just politics. there are a bunch of countries where 20% of their population lives in the US illigaly and there is no restriction for those.

  5. i called nvc a min ago. the lady said they will schedule the interview appointment on the 15th of december. The embassy gives them plenty of dates available. depends on when your case was complete , you get a sooner or later date. december interviews are already scheduled, so the soonest can be january but they dont guarantee that.

i will have to wait 10 more days and see

  6. Lets share info about House music, clubs in our towns, DJs in USA or visiting USA.

So House lovers who just moved to USA will have no problem finding the best clubs and DJs around.

People who spin can post their fliers too. Im going back in Business when I am over with this visa thing:) I miss my sl 1200s and my allen&heath which i bought 2 months before i left USA:( needless to say no new records for a year too.

I used to collect Kompakt, Trapez stuff. mostly minimal and tech house.

guido schneider - moved was the last vinyle I bought.

Phoenix landing in cambridge had house music on wednesdays when i was in boston area in 05. the rest were trash trance.

  7. I have a different questions actually

Why did she go to his dorm room at night? knowing he is alone there and she is an engaged woman. Thats too much trusting someone you just met a few months ago.

I dont think there is an explanation needed here. We all know what happens if a girl who we just met couple months ago comes to our dormroom at night and alone.

Best way to avoid the risks is not taking the risk. Going to a guys dormroom which is also his bedroom at night is the risk, she knew it , and she took it.

now you are going to ask me why she told you all that? I will tell you why?

from your writing i can easly see she is unexperienced in relationships. this was the first time she did such thing and she felt bad. We all do feel bad when we f##k up first time, dont we? but when we do it again and again , we get used to it and stop being ashamed.

i can tell you what my wife does......she is only 20 years old...I never told her not to go clubbing or bars or have male friends. But since we got married , she never was out after 10 o clock. She would never go to a male friends home alone. (only if bunch of ppl) no clubbing , no bars.

I asked why she wont go out and have fun with her friends, she said she doesnt want to. But i know she wont because she doesnt want to make me jealous and put questions marks in my mind. She is too consideret at that age. She always tell me American guys dont really give a damm about the ring, so they always come and pull on her. So she doesnt want to go such places where men hunt for women without her husband.

well the same with me. I intruduced all my friends to her. and i only hang out with them.

We are all human after all. Our minds are never strong enough i have been away from my wife for 4 months. that means no sex for 4 months. Im sure if i go out to a bar and a nice lady approaches me, i wil have bad thoughts in mind especially with the help of the alcohol. SO I dont feel like going out alone. i want to wait till i can go with my wife and have fun together.

  8. why skype anyway?

MSN messenger is cooler. I never liked skype. MSN messenger has it all on one thing. emails, offline messages, webcam , video calls, games, sending files, sharing folders, and now you can add yahoo users too. anything close to msn is yahoo. the rest is junk.

  9. My friends dad owns 5 properties and he has never had a visa or anything. he has been in the US for 22 years. My friend(his son) found out he was illigal alien when he wanted to enroll to a college, they didnt take him bc he had no visa. He always thought he was an american, he came into the states when he was 4. I was at that time going to a college on F-1 student visa. I had SSN but not valid for work. Anything i wanted to buy , i needed cash. no bank gave me credit card or no nothing. Well I asked his dad how i could buy a house bc my mom wanted to buy me a house in the US. He said put down 30k , any bank will give loan mortgage and all. Well i didnt buy a house but I bought a car in that way. I paid 50 % of the cars worth and they financed the rest with no co signer , no nothing. BUT 15.5 % interest lol

I believe if one is willing to pay high interest and have some cash in hand to put high down payment. illigal aliens can buy houses.

  10. I went to college in the US. I was able to get a SSN with a letter from my school so I went on applying for a SSN. got the number after 8 weeks. However because of I was on student visa (F-1) . I was only allowed to work on campus for 20 hours a week. SSN card had " not valit for work" written on it. But the number worked for getting a driving license and all.

What should I do once I get my CR1 ? should I apply for a new SSN? or my SSN is still valid? will i be able to work?

if i have to apply to SS office for changing of status from "not valid for work" to valid for work SSN. how long will i wait?

    thnx

  11. You really should call NVC and make sure if they want the originals. When we recieved the DS 230 package, it said the originals or the certified copies. We were also told not to send the originals but the copies. SO we went on noterising the originals of the birth and marriage certificates. they want them translated too. Along with the DS 230 package, we sent the certified copies of everything.

I called NVC everyday atfer i sent ds 230(this was the last package , i sent I864 and other before ds 230) asked them if they recieved them and once they recieved them i again continued on calling them everyday asking if its been reviewed or complete. well after like 3 weeks they told me some documents were missing, they sent out a checklist. I asked them whats missing. they said the originals of the birth and marriage certificates. for Turkey, they need all the original forms and certificates , the officer said, they will put these in my folder and send it to Ankara. well i sent the originals of the certificates next day. it took about 5 weeks for nvc to recieve them. i called them everyday they told me the same thing, they dont have them yet please allow us 2-4 weeks to recieve them due to high volume of mails they recieve each day. and another 2-4 weeks to process the missing documents. well mine took 5 weeks. the officer also admited. if NVC dont have everything required they dont touch my case. so bc of the missing things my case was there for months untouched. well then after this 5 weeks waiting, they finaly said they recieved them and reviewing , pls allow 4 weeks to complete. fortunately it took only 3 weeks for them to complete and no security check or RFE. If i had sent the originals in the first place my case would have been complete 2 months earlier.

well we filed the I 130 first day of feb so it took like 4 months actually to get approved but our NVC stage took too long. our case went to nvc in 30-35 days then we recieved each form pretty late. it was mostly like they send out a from , it gets to my wife in 3-4 weeks then my wife replies , the mail gets to nvc in 3-4 weeks.

for the turkish-american(in heart) spouses, there are actually many on this forum. we have advantages and disadvantages of course. for example a spouse who has never been to USA will have adapting issues where we wont at all. However a spouse who has lived in the US and went back to wait for the visa will be sick of the waiting more. its kinda like missing double times. both usa and the spouse.

i take it like kind of being prisoned without walls around me. for example I want to go buy a car then i say im only going to be here for a few months anyway. im not really proceeding in my life but my life is going on as time is going on. If i had only knew it would take this long, it would have had a different 1 year here. I never expected this.

well paying for 2 homes and stuff. yea i hear ya:) but what hurt me most was. my car tanked in value big time as a new body style came out a few months ago. I so much wanted that car some years ago , I gave up so many things to buy it. now its lost 25% of its value ,without ever been driven for a single mile over the last year. and I paid for the extended warranty 1 year of it was for nothing. I am not afraid it will give me problems bc of having been sat on the park for a year, fortunately the warranty is valid till 2008. Hopefully I will make it to USA by then heheh.

  12. My friend had a similar situation. I hate to say this but they mostlikely wont care about you situation why you had to overstay. Once INS (now homeland security) got you, they dont want to let you go easy. They are going to tell you why didnt you apply to INS and ask for an extention on your visa and stuff(thats what they said to my friend, and he was involved in a car accident, he was in hospital for 20 days while his visa expired and only overstayed 50 days) they said you should have send someone to notify us for your overstay.

well they have their reasons. Visa is given for a purpose , either travel or education or business and you simply state how long visa you want. any extra day you spend in the US, they want to know what you are doing.

It was only 50 days so they didnt give him any bar but he went back to his country and never be able to get a visa again. each time they gave him no reason but rejected the visa.

however you are planning on a marriage, so its a different story. you should be able to do this waiver thing. but i heard it takes some months.

maybe its better for you to go for CR1 through USA not embassy. i am not sure but if you do DCF and the embassy rejects you cant apeal, but when you go through one of the service centers and NVC then embassy, i think you have a right to apeal in 90 days after the rejection. but it will be much more than 4-5 weeks .

you need a family immigration lawyer i believe

  13. OK the email didnt work. I requested for early scheduling of the interview date. as internetkafe did and it worked for him/her but not for me. they replied my email as below

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

they did not really answer me. i didnt ask them if my case was complete. i asked them i had a hardship needed my interview in a specific time frame(not too early , not too late) but they told me what i already know. and the funny thing is it took them 5 days to give me this answer.

  14. i am kinda jealous, most people got approved in 2 months especially csc ppl. mine took 4 months. but it was pretty typical back in february, things got faster in summer. but this time nvc slowed down . my nvc stage took 5 months(2 months bc of the missing documents for ds 230) I am expecting my interview date to be available next week someday. when i look back now, i cant really believe it has been 1 year almost.

  15. Well, I have heard that many times too. Not only England, most of the European countries issue a visa for the spous of their citizen in a few dayes. Then its about 2-3 months for the permanent resident visa.

Only the US greencard takes this long. But again it also varies by each case. Japanese ppl for example, gets the greencard fastest. (1-3 months). My wifes brother went to japan to marry his fiance about 1 month before my wife came to Turkey to marry me. His wifes I130 was approved in 1 week. NVC process took little over a month. and she got the visa in total of 2 months. My wife used the same paper work for NVC(my wife and her bro both having dad co sponsor, so the same financial papers for nvc) our nvc stage took 6 months(they asked for more documents that they did for her bro) and I130 got approved in 4 months. and the total of 1 year waiting.

  16. My first experience with greyhound was interesting and funny. it was not a long trip (only 1 hour 20 mins) However the driver first drove the bus to his home, picked up his launch bag and kids, he then dropped them to somewhere (and yes we were on the bus hehe) then head to original destination. I thought he was a crazy driver but i have experienced this many more times, i was telling my friends , they said the same happened with them too.

  17. Well, most driver licenses are valid for 1 month from the day of entry. International License is valid for 1 year from the issue date. I know this fact because you can go to a car rental and rent a car with your none american or international license.

Well My friend had a Turkish license, and he got pulled over several times. Each time the officer got mad at him , because he cant give him a ticket , even he does, its no good bc it wont have any afffect on the none American license. But after some talk they usually accept it, they say go get a State license asap (and you get away from the ticket) we have actually used this as advantage for so long. I would present my none -American license first and get away from the ticket if i can , if the officer insist on arresting me, I would my state license which i forgot it was in my wallet lol

ohh for the insurance. Most insurance companies didnt care. I told them I had 3 years old internatinal driving license(which i never had) back in my country and I can ask mother to fax it to you. They said okay and they deducted 3 points , I told them my mom has to go to the registery of motorvehicles in Istanbul and ask for record which may take about 1-3 months lol then the lady said okay we trust you, you dont need to fax it.

Well they just didnt want to lose a customer. If they didnt take that, i was going to go for another company. But i was going to get full+full premium for my car, maybe that helped as well.

But getting a state license is cheap and easy and fast. Easy questions on the writen test, and much easier job on the driving test. Make sure you take the test in a small town( no traffic , easy easy license)

  18. now everything about this visa thing got more exciting lol

i am writing them an email right now. I had to skip 2 semesters because of this visa thing. They have to give me a closer date. And yes I already have papers from the school but i can ask them to send more recent one. The spring semester starts on january 9th. So I have to be there by january 5th the latest as i need a few days to enroll buy books and stuff.

Lets see how it goes. I will let you know if it works

I wish I had known this early scheduling thing. I have my medical exam on the 5th december (i scheduled that already).

I didnt think this 1-2 month waiting for the interview made any sense anyway. WHen you ask for a tourist or student visa , they give you a date for the next day, but when its a immigrant visa ,its 1-2 months(and every paper work and prep has already been done by the nvc , embassy will only interview, just like tourist visa)
