  1. I can't seem to get my timeline to post in my signature but I wanted to share some dates so everyone can see my timeline progression:

    Case # Assigned: 3-14-14

AOS & IV Bill Shows as PAID: 3-20-14

AOS & IV Packet Received @ NVC Dock: 3-24-14

AOS & IV Packet Entered Into System: 3-27-14

    Case Complete: 4-5-14

    Case Complete Email: 4-12-14

    Interview @ Mumbai Consulate: 5-7-14

  2. Hi everyone, I have a quick question for the group here. We got the interview date for my wife's immigrant visa interview, May 7th in Bombay! (WOOOO!)

Does have to get fingerprinting done? Do we need to apply further for an interview from this website? http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-iv-visaapply.asp

That website also mentions scheduling a date at the VAC - Visa Application Center (Step 7) prior to the interview.

This confuses me a little bit because the letter from the NVC with the interview date doesn't mention any of this stuff....

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

  3. Another question:

A lot of the timelines I am seeing in the signatures show AOS Bill and IV Bill being available on different dates, why is that?

Mine were both available immediately, at the same time and I paid them right away.

Case number was assigned on 3/13/14 and then both IV Bill ($230) and AOS Bill ($88) were available to pay right away. I paid them both and see the funds withdrawn from my account...

This is NORMAL? Are these the only two fee's to pay or are there more to come?

    For example from user "ys123":

    03/01/14- Paid AOS fee

    03/04/14- AOS fee shows PAID

03/07/14- AOS package sent from Australia

03/17/14- AOS package was delivered to NVC

03/14/14- IV bill issued by email

03/17/14- IV bill available to pay online - paid

  4. Anyone else hear this ridiculousness. Just got off the phone with an extremely rude NVC operator asking why my AOS fee still says in process and he claims you absolutely have to use internet explorer if not it will never process and if the money was pulled out of the account you have to send a copy of your bank statement to the nvcinquiry email showing that it was pulled out.

I'm i the only one this happened to?

Matt - I used Google Chrome to log in and pay my fees, and I didn't run into any problems or errors. It says "In Process" and I see both "ACH DEBIT" posted on my online bank account.

I hope no issues arise from this but so far its looking OK

  5. Quick question for everyone here, I got my Case #/IIN#/BID# on Tuesday, at which point my fee's (AOS and IV) were available online to pay, both of with I paid on the spot.

I have never seen any request or link to fill out a DS-261 Choice of Agent form. I have already filled out G-28, "Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative" which I sent to USCIS when I submitted my I-130 application. When the NVC sent me my case number information, they also sent it directly to my lawyer. Does that mean I do not need to fill out a DS-261?

    Please advise, thanks!

  6. Help!!

I got my NVC Case # on March 13th (last Thursday). I just went to the US-DOS website to log in and I got the following error message:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

What does this mean!?!? I will be calling the NVC as soon as they open but I'm also internally in a panic right now....any help would be appreciated!
