  1. We sent our I-130 on April 12, 2013. It took 11 months to be approved so I feel your pain

This whole waiting game is ridiculous. It upsets me when people judge immigrants for not doing things "the right way" and because they violate the "American Laws" people would not have to do that if they did not make make us wait almost 2 years and make us jump through hoops and pay them for this whole process. That is why there are so many immigrants in this country... And for people like us that do things the right way we have to wait forever and yet I hear of all these people getting their green cards even though they got caught for DUI's or selling drugs... :ranting:

  2. OMG I wonder if it would be better if you asked it be transferred to the California Service Center it would be much faster. I was at the Nebraska hell hole and OMG no way you should wait any longer. Poor baby I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers. (F)(L)(F) You should contact your Senator and have them investigate this all they do is sit on their behinds so please do have them work for you.

I did contaaact my senator a couple of times and I never heard back from them... :ranting:

  3. Because all Embassies do what ever the heck they want because they can. Seems to me they are above the law! I truly feel for you and maybe a call to NVC will hurry the process it can't hurt.

A little confused, were are you in the Visa process at NVC waiting for an interview or you already had your interview waiting for Visa?

Much luck to you, I'll be praying for you and yours.

Hello Soloenta! Thank you for your prayers. :) I am neither my case barely got transfered from Nebraska Service Center to NVC om 4/26/14 and arrived at NVC 4/11/14 I have not even been assigned a visa # yet or an IIN # I sent my I-130 3/20/13 so its been 14 months since I started this process.

  4. Why would NVC tell me i have to wait "30 business days"? Is that a "set time"? Until I get a case number? Or randomly do they just pull case numbers outta their a&& on any given day?frustrating

That's just a standard time they give for everybody but depending on their mood and if they are feeling generous apparently it could be less or it could be more... :mellow:I know how u feel I have been waiting forever since I did my I-130 and I can't even get a case number, yet some people that applied only a few months ago already have a visa number or even case complete. I really wish I knew how this works and I'm tired of playing the waiting game... :clock:

  5. Hello everyone!

I know I'm going to sound a little dumb but can anyone tell me how I can add my timeline every time I post something? Do you add it to your signature? And how do you do that? And also can anyone tell me if you can get a blood test from a non immigration participating provider for your vaccines or all the vaccines needed if you don't have your vaccine record? I saw a list of the vaccines and the prices and they are ridiculous if they are given by one of the qualifying immigration doctors... :wow:Thank you! :luv:

I also forgot to ask if anyone knows how long it is taking people from Guatemala to get an interview from the day their case is complete?

  7. After 19 calls and 45 minutes of waiting to get ahold of someone at the NVC I finally get an answer and they tell me they have not received my case and I have to call back in 6-8 weeks... so annoyed!!! Anyways... I filed my taxes single before I started reading this forum so I have to re-do my taxes. Can anyone please tell me if I file married filing separate do I need to put his info at all? Like his name DOB and the country or do I not have to do that at all? Thank you guys for your help!

  8. If your case has already been sent to NVC, then NSC has no more information for you. Just keep calling until they tell you they have received it. They will tell you that it takes 8 weeks, it is just a number they shoot out. Usually it is before then, so call them!!

I am so tired of this waiting game... :clock:my husband has been gone for about 15 months and it is ridiculous that as a citizen we have to wait this long when other people that are not citizens and just applied a few months ago are getting approved so quick... no offense to anyone it just sucks for those of us that waited a year to even get an answer from anyone. I guess I will have to keep waiting and trying. Thank you for your help. :) I do have a lawyer so will he be the one getting all the info when I get a visa # and when I need to pay and send the packet?

  9. Hi everyone,

I am pretty new to this whole thing and I am horrible with adding stuff, links and spreadsheets so if I ask dumb questions please bear with me. :content: I received my NOA2 3/26/14 and my case was transferred to the NVC. I called the NVC today to ask if they had received my case. I was told they cannot give me any information and that I have to wait 8 weeks before they can even enter my case. Can anyone please tell me what I need to do? Do I need to call them back again and ask for a different person or do I need to contact the NSC and get information from them? :help: Thank you in advance!

    3/20/13 Sent I-130

    3/22/13 NOA1

11/06/13 Case transferred to Nebrasca Service Center (NSC)

    3/26/14 I-130 Approved (NOA2)

  10. What do you mean? You probably received NOA1 saying they got your case. Its taking abt 5 months to get your case approved which they will send you a NOA2. Then u start the visa process.

I'm sorry I don't know if what I said might have been confusing. :-) my case was sent to the NVC already and I am waiting for a visa #. So I want to know what the average time is from when ur case gets sent to NVC until u you get a consular interview. And I've also read that there is a cut off date for a visa but I don't know if to qualify for a visa the cut off date is from the NOA1 or the NOA2.

  11. Hello!

I petitioned for my husband on 3/20/14 ( I-130) and I just got approved last week 3/25/14. I don't understand a lot of the immigration processes and especially when it comes to the Visa cut off dates. Can anyone tell me if the cut of date for a visa is the NOA1 date or the date from when your I-130 gets approved? And also can anyone tell me what the average time is from when you receive your NOA2 to the consular interview date? I know there are time lines in the website you can see and it seems to me from what I understand that it is about 3 months. Is this correct? Does anyone whos spouse is from Guatemala have any information regarding this? Thank you guys in advance any info helps! :o)

  12. Thank you shinwary71 I received the good news today that my I-130 has been approved! I'm feeling so blessed. I'm not sure what made them make a decision maybe all my praying maybe all the phone calls but if you haven't heard anything after a year you can put in a complaint on the office that has your case. You need to go to the uscis website and e-mail them wity a complaint about ur case. Can anyone please tell me now wyat is tge next step? Thank you guys for the support! !
