  1. Actually it was me who told her not to come. She basically did something very shady which destroyed all trust and I just couldn't bring her here and marry her so soon after. The visa expired 5 months ago in March. A few weeks before the expiration date, I couldn't accept that it was really going to be over. Now it's been a year and I still can't stop thinking about her. She says she wants to be with me and will do the visa re issuance.

I'm not sure what evidence to provide of an improving relationship other than me going and visiting Ukraine in the coming weeks. The little communication we've had has been through Viber calls. The only thing I do have record of is emailing the consulate explaining that she is going to be late because she was finishing her masters. What if she misses the date and the instructed me to do visa re-issuance.

  2. Hi all,

It's been a very long time since I've posted on this forum. I'll try to make a long story short because this has been a very long and very emotionally draining. I started K1 Visa Process in October 2014. It was completed with Visa in Hand around May 2015.

In July/August 2015, a lot of bad things happened and the relationship between my fiance and I was severely damaged. Needless to say it's been very devastating for me emotionally and even though a year has gone by I still haven't been able to move on. Apparently, she hasn't either. We were looking to do a visa re-issuance. The Consulate in Ukraine instructed me that basically the fiance needs to re do the interview, get police papers, medical exam and all that stuff. I need to provide a letter with intent to marry.

My question is what are the odds of the visa getting reissued? Should she be honest in the interview and explain that between finishing her masters degree in Ukraine and other factors, we had second thoughts about her coming to US but after some time realized that we still love each other through all of it and still want to be with each other?

Also, regarding the 3 month window which requires you to marry, what happens if you decide to get married later than that? What if you waited 5 or 6 months, can you get into a lot of trouble?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  3. I received my NOA1 around 10/16/14. Now, my girl is doing a masters in Ukraine and she has to return there to take some exams, and spend a month teaching english and greek to kids as part of her curriculum. So she actually has to leave.

How long does the whole process take after PoE and marraige to get her status adjusted so that she may leave the country and come back lawfully. Also, if it's the case that she can't stay the full 3 months, I understand there is a petition that you can apply for asking for permission to leave before the deadline and return. Does anyone know anything about the timelines regarding this? (i.e processing times etc)

It's so ironic that they denied her twice a tourist visa because they're afraid she won't leave, and here we have another problem because she needs to leave. She doesn't want to piss away the 1 year she's already put in for this Masters degree.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a while. I started a new job and have been very busy since i got back from my last trip from Ukraine. I had filed my I-129F on Oct 14, 2014 and I still haven't heard anything. I called USCIS about 2 weeks ago and they said it's still pending. I believe our case was sent to the Texas Service Center. Is anyone in a similar situation?

I saw some people filed in october as well as i was looking through some of the posts and their process is all finished, meanwhile mine has barely come off the ground. It's becoming very annoying and very stressful this long wait. I was hoping someone can give me some insight or some information what I have to look forward too.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  5. Everyone that has received a NOA2 on this thread has been from CSC with the exception of Phillipians. That's why I started the other thread so that we can see how cases handled by TSC are progressing.

I'm not in too much of a rush. She can't fly here until end of april any way because she's finishing up her masters degree. I was hoping my May, early june the lastest things would be done and I can fly here here.

    Is that a reasonable timeline?

  6. I literally JUST posted about this on the Oct filers for TSC. Check it out here:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/523533-october-2014-filers-texas-service-center/page-3#entry7354479

So I might have to wait 2-5 months for my NOA 2? I was looking at the TSC processing times here on VJ and I saw quite a few cases had already received their NOA 2 and I panicked a little. I as afraid maybe there was a problem. When I try to check my case on the USC website it doesn't work. It used to work, now I just get error messages.

  7. Ok everyone, I think I'm ready to send my packet TODAY!!!

I've translated all 80 pages of skype logs from Greek to English. I've included translation of Hotel Apartment Receipt, from Ukrainian to English. Those two documents, and two letters stating authenticity of translation. Basically 4 extra documents signed by myself and one by my fiance.

I even two hole punched everything with the fasteners they said they preferred in their instructions on their website. I want this to go as smoothly as possible. I'm going to dismantle the packet one more time, and look through all the forms (I look at the examples on this site and compare with my own) to make sure they're filled out correctly and signed.
