Asked dozens of times on here. . .   Travel before it expires.   If not then the consulate "can" reissue the VISA with a new medical, interview and fee since her leaving was beyond her control.

It expires in August but everything is shut down. Even her country airport has been shut down since March. I’m worried they won’t let her in by then or reopen the county to immigrants.

  2. Hello,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I have a question.

I received a 2 year temporary visa because I was married for under a year when my spouse applied for my IR-1/CR-1 Visa.

I have to apply for an I-751 in a couple of months.

My passport for my country expires in 2 months. Do I need to wait until my conditions are removed to renew it, or can I renew it now?

    Thank you

  3. Sorry if I put this in the wrong topic...I have two questions.

For a conditional green card - in the visa FAQs you have to have 2 friends write affidavits on how they personally know you and include their social security number. As much as our friends love us, that is something they will not do (put their social). Which I completely understand, anything can happen. Is that necessary?

Second Question- if we live in NYC and have to go on an interview -do I have to travel out of state or will the interview be in NYC?

We have a while before we start the filing procedures but I wanted to make sure we are starting to get prepared for anything we need proof of.

    Thank you for your help!!!

  4. My husband rec'd a conditional green card - cr1 application and came to the states 2 months ago. I paid for the green card the 2nd week of february and we never rec'd a welcome letter or green card. We called uscis and they said they have a delay of calls for supervisors and it would take 7 business days for a call back. We got a social security card and he applied for a job. When he went on his interview they entered his temporary visa info on his passport and said he can't work because his status only showed admission. How is this possible? Help??

  5. No but if you are worried about it have a copy. But why would the embassy want a copy of the petiti6toners information. you have already been verified at USCIS. either by a Passport or Birth certificate.

Never have I heard of a petitioners BC needed

I check the embassy interview requirements and it said this - but I have no I have no idea where I misplaced it and now im stressing out. I have copies of it but not the original.

Civil Documents: YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR UNITED STATES VISA without recently issued Guyanese birth certificates and marriage certificates. All such documents should be newly issued or issued within the past two years. Bring photocopies of all original documents submitted. .

    a. Original birth certificate(s) for both the petitioner and beneficiary.

  6. The P4 letter is the one you take to the Medical exam and can't even make an appointment with out the letter. You need to go to the Embassy page for your country and go to Immigrant Visa section you should find a list of Dr's they have for you to choose from call one of them and make your appointment. It's as easy as that with your P4 Letter make sure you get a copy or two of it one for your medical, one for your interview or they wont let you in. Much luck to you.

Thanks. Yes I did that for my husband. But I wanted to make sure because he wasn't sure and he was worried they'd turn him away at the medical. Thank you!
