  1. Hi everyone,

My husband is expected to come home on October 23rd after almost 2 years of being gone! We are very nervous about POE though? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of being refused entry on a CR1 visa? After my husbands first attempt at an E2 visa was denied, he tried to come back on an APPROVED ESTA, but was sent back home after a 10.5 hr hold in customs in LAX. They told him to go back to Aus and come back with a B1/B2 visa. He was denied that visa, then tried again for his E2, but again denied due to lack of investment (over 100k, btw), which is when we began our process for our CR1. One of the reasons he was denied his B1/B2 was because he was coming to invest more in his business and he had overstayed his ESTA by 14 days the last time by accident. The consulate was all very aware of all of this and interviewed him on it as well, and approved his CR1 visa.

But like I said, we are terrified that he will get refused entry when he comes home on this VALID visa. Are we freaking out or do we have actual legitimate reason to worry? He has no criminal record, isn't involved in any illegal activity, and he is coming on an approved CR1. Anyone with any guidance or advice, please help!

    Thank you!

Hey there, I think there wont be any issues at POE. He has cr1 visa which is legal. Make sure he takes marriage certificate, and the other previous travel documents. Good luck :) I booked the flight for Oct 20th. Im nervous too. Before that I need to pay the Immigrant fee payment$165. Hope everything will be fine.
  2. My interview went well because of all the prayers and positive vibes from you guys. I will have to pickup passport on Oct 9th. Thank you for being supportive. My dear friend Solenta thank you for the prayers. My prayers are for you. Hope everything goes well for you & your hubby. :). The questions CO asked were, how did u meet? What is he doing? How did he go to USA? His brothers name? His work? And asked for wedding pics. That's all. Pls everyone prepare for your interviews. Good luck :)

  3. My hubby's interview is also tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing the good news of approvals for all of us!!

I arranged our docs in a binder full of plastic sleeves so you can see each document to make it easy for the CO or hubby to find what they need. I am not going along to the interview and I am the one who has prepared all of the paperwork, so I want to make it as easy as possible for them. I also put post-it notes on everything. Lol

Thank you :) hope your husbands interview goes smoothly.
  4. Interview for tomorrow... Wish me luck.... Any tips welcome

Good luck dear. Mine also tomorrow. Okay. I have arranged my docs in 4 see through folders ( filers). I am bringing my education and work related docs as well. For proof of relationship I have my wedding pics, reception and family get together / trip/ honeymoon photos, wedding bills, few viber & Skype logs, and Money transfers. How about u girl???? How did u prepare ur folders?
  5. Hubby was able to track down and pick up his medical results yesterday. They couldn't/wouldn't offer any explanation what the delay was other than to say "we were waiting on something". Glad hubby was persistent and able to drive to the clinic because I don't thing the results would have arrived by post if posted today.

Thank goodness! Now, I think we have everything in order for his interview on Tuesday!

Sending lots of positive vibes for NVC to start scheduling some interviews for those waiting!!! I can't believe they haven't schedule any for 3 weeks! I hope all of the CCs that just missed the cut-off get early Nov dates!

Hey there, we both have the interviews on the same day. Hope you are ready with all the documents required. I am printing some of our wedding and the trip photos. Have few chat logs of viber & Skype. Hope our interviews go smoothly. :) :) :)
