  1. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. They're being so rude to December & January filers when they call in, that I don't think they'll be speeding up to us anytime soon (though I want them to, so so badly) my best guess is things will improve a bit, causing most of us to be approved in the 5 month time. It seems to take 2-3 months from noa2 to visa so I'm hoping mid December anyway, for me. *fingers crossed* we are not planning a wedding. This process is too stressful & I have a very small family & very few friends, so we are just going to the courthouse. Cheap, simple. And we plan on filing for ap with aos so we can visit his family a few months after we're married. All I want is to be matts wife & start a life with him. Long distance sucks & I'm not cut out for this! (I'm not giving up, he's my soulmate). But I digress, aim for December/January. If tsc continues on this trend though, it looks like it'll be next year :(

I know :( I also don't want to get my hopes up... There are still lots of months ahead of us. They still haven't even finished January filers, I don't know how in the world an April filer got approved! But it's good news, I guess, I don't hope for much but it made me happy :D We're thinking of January, too, despite the fact that I've always wanted an outside wedding :( Oh well..

    Lilay:

My fiancé its such a good man that with the goal to distract me and relief the waiting sickness about the procedure, he got me entertained with the shopping online of my dress and all the things that I need for the wedding ceremony.

We are in middle of the planning of 3 important days for us: a good bye reunion with my family in my country (because he will go for me when I get the K-1 visa from the CJ consulate) this because he dont want me do the trip to USA all alone :), the civil wedding in NC - that we will have as soon I get there for be able to do the AOS asap- and the wedding celebration with his family in the state where he was born with his family (my parents and sister will travel to be present there). So im really excited because we are together doing plans about what kind of party we will have (probably and outdoor wedding in the garden or backyard) and shopping for our great day andthe best of everything its that his family are getting involved too with the wedding there!.

Will all that I must say that I feel less the stress about the slow work from TSC. :)

    Regards!

Nice to hear that!! I'm also keeping myself busy with that! But the suspicion is killing me... :D

  2. I saw on TSC April filers topic that an April filer got approved! And I checked Igor's List today and saw another April approval, and I made sure to look at their timelines and posts and stuff, as I suspected that they might be from CSC but they really are from TSC. What does this mean?? I don't understand what TSC is doing, why are they approving April filers when there are January and even Decembers filers waiting???

  3. We got our NOA 1 on the 1st of April, and learning about people who wait for more than 6 or even 7 months, I'm getting myself ready for a long wait... It's just so unfair but I don't even want to talk about it anymore. I don't know if TSC will ever get faster, but we were thinking maybe we can get married in December, but right now it seems impossible. I planned most of the things for a winter wedding and now I have to do them all over again...

  4. U are waiting just 1 month...... Take it easy! No one is waiting 8 months. 6 maybe 8 non.

U are still on the beginning.... Wait ur turn lol

I saw that there are some waiting for 8. And someone posted that they called TSC and they said they are still on November.

I'm a patient person, but I can't stand it when there is injustice.

  5. UGH... On Igor's List, it says that they are still working on September files. They have approved some from December or November, too, but what is the problem with you TSC? Seriously, what did we do wrong that we have to wait 5-6-7 or even 8 monhts and CSC gets them done in a month or two.

If only some could be more careful in filling out their timelines... VISAJOURNEY, please do something about this!!! Please!

  6. Why don't they send them to CSC?? They are pretty comfortable with time. I don't understand...

I understand your frustration. I mentioned about "transferred or not transferred" many times and probably many members here got tired and hated me for doing so. It is a crystal clear on notification - email, text, or NOA-1 hardcopy- where USCIS will en route the petition. It is not a rocket science to understand these things.

When a petition get transferred to another service center, USCIS will notify the petitioner about the case file. But usually transferred happens not right after acceptance which this is a problem now where some members tend to think Dallas Lockbox is same with TSC and when they received NOA-1 and read CSC listed as service center and then they thought their cases transferred to CSC.

Another thing, TSC is being slow in recent months because they also get petitions from Vermont Service Center and this is probably create backlogging cases. Vermont - from what I read and heard- is not processing K-1 visas anymore.

  7. Because I'm a geek, I used that data and did some calculations.

Of the months that they had completions (Jun 2013 through Feb 2014), the trend (using linear regression) is that they are processing 2189 applications per month.

As of the end of February there were 6716 applications pending. (We can see from Mar12 and Apr12 that the "All Other Pending" column is "as of the end of the month".)

They are processing 2189 applications per month, so that equates to 3.07 months of work.

So, if your NOA1 was 1 March, your estimated NOA2 date would be 1 June.

If your NOA1 was 31 March, your estimated NOA2 date would be 1 July.

This means that, roughly, whatever day of the month your NOA1 came in March, it will be that same day in June +/- a day.

So, the earliest of us TSC March filers still have a month to go, statistically.

If the trend is based only on the last three months in that data, the number of applications per month drops to 1662.

That equates to 4.04 months of work left, so add a month.

So, a rough estimate for any of us March filers would be sometime between the day of the month in June to the day of the month in July.

For giggles, my NOA1 date was 5 Mar. Following this calculation, I should have NOA2 between 5 Jun and 5 July.

(Of course, all of this is statistical and based heavily on the linear regression trend. That can't predict real-world influences.)

    Thank you for the research!!

But what makes me worried is that TSC says they are doing the November files now... (I haven't called them but I've read that some people have and they receieved this as a reply) On Igor's list, after ignoring the people who think they are being looked into by TSC just because they sent their package to Texas, we can see that they are on December files now... I even see some January today.

So from December to April-May, it's exactly 5 months. I got my NOA1 on April 1st so I also have to wait 5 months, at least 4 before they can finish those months before me.. :/

  8. Hello VJ! I have plans to print out our skype conversation. My question is can i choose a specific time frame of our skype conversation or do i have to print out from the very first time we had skype conversation up to present? I am thinking to print out from the month we first met upto present. Thanks!

We also printed a page from each month :)

  9. I know the feeling, But it's out of our hands. At the rate csc is going and if we had a choice. I'd choose there. Hah! I only check 1 time per day and that when I wake up :)

Yeah.. Me too.. I always check it every morning.. These pass few days, I love to disappoint myself when I wake up.

I started to check less often.. Now I check twice a week. And I try not to check VJ that much, because it makes me sad that TSC is still doing December now while CSC is onto March already.

  10. I am a bit hesitant to post this, because I know there are so many people still waiting; but I just wanted to share that we received our NOA2 today, just a few minutes ago.

I'm gonna keep praying though, for everyone still waiting for this step. And I pray you'll support us as our petition heads to the NVC. Thanks everyone for being such an incredible community. You've all made this unbearable process manageable, even joyful at times, as we get to celebrate with one another and support one another in solidarity.

Yayyy! I'm happy for you! Congrats! :D

  11. I remember back then, there were a lot people complained why some VJ members got approved quicker than others. But, I've never seen people questioned about it after they just filed 3 weeks or less. They had started complaining when they were reach 3 months mark. I told my fiance that the process would take a year to complete - I was the one who learned the whole process-. We never had expectation get an approval that fast and in fact there was a guy from the UK filed after my fiance got his NOA-2 before us. But it did not bother us, honestly, because we knew that sooner or later we will be together eventually.

Expect unexpected that was an attitude my fiance and I carried on for this process. I am not trying to lecture people here but my fiance and I spent time talking many hours everyday on Skype - imagine how long we had been in long distance relationship since we started dating back in 2008 and filed I-129F in 2013-. Do something else like what will you do after approval, learn next steps, planning what you will do after you come to the US, and etc. My fiance and I worked with hectic schedules that is why we never jealous if someone got approved before us.

I am the US now for more than 2 months and it is hard since I used to work for long hours and suddenly staying at home alone. Be prepare for culture shocks, different lifestyle, and environment. Learn the city where you will live in, what kind wedding dress you want, ring, wedding ceremony, many things that you could use to occupy your mind from this process. You can do that while you are waiting the whole process completed instead keep checking the others timelines and feel upset about it. When you read horrible stories about K-1 visa filers here, you will be shock to death and feel grateful that you are not in their position (lost their files, petitioner was a suspect of AWA, lost their approval petition between USCIS and NVC, their petition was expired because never knew what to do for the next steps, and many more).

After all, that is just my 2 cents. Good luck for the rest of your journey, guys!

I know there will be a culture shock and even depression for me for a few months, at least, and it scares me sometimes even though starting a life with my fiance is what I want more than anything.

    Thanks for the encouragement :)
