I jokingly suggested that she come across the border like many illegally entering the country as it would be easier and quicker. She looked at the map of Texas and said with a straight face, Net (Russian for No)..I cannot swim. I laughed and said "That's my girl"....so I will see you in a couple of years......Crickets
I do not mean to take away from the seriousness of the OP's dilemma. I have to scratch my head as well....if all documentation, including letters of intent, were submitted, then how can they ask when the wedding is scheduled? How the heck can he know? Maybe they are just saying in a very polite way that they believe Congo is a high fraud country and they want a little more proof? No clue. Hang in there OP and give them what they want.

I have to admit, I chuckled at this too...but unfortunately it is probably far from being accurate. If you are familiar with State/Federal employees in the state of Texas, you know what I mean . I am guessing they are also GS3's or 5's or the state equivalent which means they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer to begin with... ...nor the hardest working....
Now I went and did it...my file just got put on the bottom of the pile ... lol
