The electronic displays read: US Citizens only on one side(no queue). On the other side it said Permanent Residents and Visitors.(queued out of the roped area) (This was April 13th). I normally go through Detroit and have no problems there.

The most annoying POE is Chicago that I have been through this year. The LPRs have to join the visitors line there and not the Citizens line. Be prepared for a possible long wait to get through immigration!
-
I sent no photos as they only prove that the one having biometrics taken was in a photo with somebody...nothing else
-
great list!
You don't need a copy of your passport.
Stuff like drivers licenses in individual names.
The rest is pretty similar to what I sent (about 39 pages)
-
I did n't send affidavits or photos, all went smoothly and I was approved in just over 2 months (csc)
-
Congratulations from one of the speedy 'other SC' LPRs

Congratulations!

They are primarily after evidence of your joint financial life together in the same dwelling, so file all the joint lease agreements and tax returns. Bills with joint names covering the total period of your marriage.
They are not really interested in evidence that you own a camera. I did not submit any pics and got approved without any hassles.
But you do need to file the AR-11

The water bill and power bill are not in joint names, so I would n't include them. I would just include evidence that supports joint financial information. I am a firm believer that 'noise' could cause confusion. which is why I only sent 39 pages!
2008 tax would only need including after april 15th which is the end of filing date.
I did n't include affidavits, but a sworn statement about you being a bonafide couple should be taken as such, and be totally independant on where the signer was born.

Congratulations!

Card arrived 1-30-2009, 15 days after date on letter from Detroit and just 8 days after the email from CRIS.
I hope Vermont speeds up for all of you who are stuck in their system!

Good luck for the future!

Never submitted drivers licence copies and have a po box mailing address different from home address. Only submitted stuff with both names on (a few bills, tax returns and a few statements). Approved without RFEs or interview
-
Just put mine in loose binder in an envelope and mailed it first class. Cost less that $2. But it was only 1/4 inch thick. Still, it got approved in 62 days!...

Congratulations and good luck in the future

Congratulations!!

I dunno. It costs a lot of money, preparation and time to get this far down the line. I think all of the processes thus far could be processed quicker and think a lot of the 'lag' in processing for AOS, K1 etc could be to deter these folk. Also K1 at least has FBI checks.

Congratulations!!

That is a lot of evidence. Personally, I am not a believer in photos. To reference your photo they have biometrics, but do they know what your other-half looks like? no.
You don't need your passport or birth certificate.
The rest looks good!
I did not include photos or affidavits and got approved in 62 days (CSC)

Hi, I am pretty sure they are lookin for evidence of a bonafide relationship at this stage. The poverty line stuff was for AoS. I submitted both tax returns
-
Yes, I would say joint mortgage or lease is vital. I never submitted affidavits or photos. One joint bank statement from every 6 months a utility bill in joint name every 6 months. 2 years joint tax returns and a couple of emails showing we had airline tickets to the same place. 39 pages in all and 62 days from start to finish.
Travel. I travel every week and I am sure they know on their computer screens at immigration that you have applied. I travelled last week to Canada with 2 weeks left on my conditional green card and no-one questioned me (I did have the letter in my pocket, just in case )
-
You don't need to send everything, just a copy of a statement from every 6 months. I only included about 5 pages from a joint bank account.
I just sent about 40 pages in all and got approved in 63 days. (No RFEs)

You don't need affidavits if you have enough financial evidence. I just got approval without them
Evidence Needed for 5 Year Package
in US Citizenship General Discussion

Well it does say specifically to include both sides of the Green Card, but it does not say anything about evidence of tax filing.
I also am filing on 5 years in the next couple of weeks and was just going to include the same as you.
Anybody filed 5 years withour tax transcripts?
