  3. My fiance has an interview in Havana in late September. He is from Holguin and has never been to Havana. Could anyone recommend a hotel or rental home within walking distance of the US Interests Section office? I am planning to be present for his interview and we would like to stay in Havana for a few nights.

I am going to do a google search - but also wanted to see if anyone could offer a personal recommendation.

    Thank you!

  4. One other note I would add here: I moved to cuba for 3 months to be with my fiance. I did not need to leave after 60 days. I simply needed to go to the local immigration office, pay 25 cuc in sellos every 30 days. I was told I could continue to do this for 6 months. it was absolutely worth it. we lived economically using his ration from the bodega to cook food.

    Hope this helps.
