  1. Unfortunately with countries where some applicants  have committed fraudulent behavior many of us genuine applicants end up paying the price . I speak as someone who had no red flags but we were delayed by our lawyers incompetence w paperwork  (and just poor luck)

The  basic fact is for some reason there appears to be a suspicion as to whether there is a genuine relationship , or someone taking advantage of another. The paperwork snafu is common enough in developing countries , but has been flagged  as possible evidence of fraud.  The NADRA stuff has got to be sorted out and probably has been. I think the real challenge is providing a lot of evidence of a real relationship.  Being able to speak each others ( or at least a common) language should help.

IM not a big fan of lawyers but I think in this case they should be able to help you not make paperwork errors ( as has happened) and maybe guide you on evidence you may need to prove the truth

    Good luck!

  2. I wrote no as I had given the exams..... I took it as it is obvious no one can practice medicine without the certifying exams. I wrote yes for the vaccinations and explained that I would have recieved all before the interview

  3. Not quite but almost.

Took about a year to get approved by USCIS (lawyers office contributed by not sending some docs). At NVC since october. Recently responded to a checklist.

Was at USCIS during the terrible horrible backlog. At NVC when it got transferred there.

Some people just have worse luck than others during this process. Maybe you are compensated in other ways.

Best of luck and i hope that things work out for you ASAP. Please contact congressman and senator(s)

  4. We had a terrible experience with the NBC in 2013. We filed in august.

They kept our petitions there for about 6 months with no processing done there. They then transferred to the texas center which was terribly slowwwwww and took about 4 months more. So we are not yet done with NVC.

It seems things worked faster this year with average time for I130 taking about 5-6 months , so hopefully NBC has got its act together by now, and you guys wont have the rotten experience we had.

  5. Our experience says if you can fill out basic forms and follow instructions please dont get a lawyer. Ours delayed our filing by more than a month. Wouldnt even take our calls when we wanted a follow up, or when we recieved an RFE, which was for a naturalization certifcate. The paralegal thought it wasnt needed.Same for previous divorce decree. We then were given a notice of intent to deny based on not returning our RFE. No follow up on that either. Even then they would hardly return our calls to discuss the matter.

Thankfully our problem looks like it will work ( case has been reopened) out but based on our experience , i would avoid a lawyer, especially if they are based in another city and you cant easily go to meet them.

  6. We have had the most terrible luck with this journey. We filed more than a year ago. Transferred to the slowest service center in jan 2014. Got a RFE for a missing naturalization certficate in may and responded to it immediately. The website showed RFE response review for three months then we got a denial notice for " not responding to the RFE" for 90 days. We have a fed ex reciept which proves we had sent it in june, but perhaps it never reached that particular officer.

My husband and the lawyer have both seperately sent copies again (he submitted it to the local USCIS office) , but how do we ensure that it doesnt get lost again? i am completely at the end of my tether here...

If we have to appeal this we have 30 days out of which 12 have already passed. What do we do about this, i hope some experienced members of this forum can offer any helpful advice

  7. The only answer is to wait. People from the same country who filed in may /june/ july / august are still waiting. We filed in aug, were transferred and tried to put in a service request recently and were told that background checks are being done. You cant hurry the process along. Keep hoping and praying that things happen as fast as possible, but be prepared for a bit of a wait

  8. Can someone explain to me what exactly is the "RFE" that everyone talking about? it's something we need to send after the transferred?

BTW, we got transferred 30 days ago, and still waiting for approval,

it's starting to be ridiculous... 7 month of waiting and all the August fillers moving on, while we got nothing.

yes sometimes it does feel ridiculous. We filed on august 2nd. Transferred to TSC on 28th january.

    And nada.

It now appears they have bypassed august and are trying to finish up september :(
