Hi guys! I've been watching this thread, waiting for something to happen at NVC. On 10/23, I got an email from Vermont saying they were sending our case to NVC. Today was the first time I called them. I was only on on hold for 15-20 minutes and was surprised to find out they actually received our case on 11/14. Then I got the "42 days for a case #" blurb. I was pleasantly surprised and excited to get this show on the road.

OMG I don't even know what to do with myself! I just got this email and pretty much peed my pants!
On October 21, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

Our petition is also in Vermont. No news yet.

It looks like approvals are rolling in for May filers at Vermont. That means our approvals are right around the corner! Woo hoo!!

I'm thinking 4-6 months so I don't go crazy. 4 months would be awesome, but I'm bracing myself for 6 and trying not to look at the clock.

Let's pretend that I check the USCIS website less than I used to. Yes. Let's. I mean, why would I check it more *because* it's been a month and sooner or later, something's gotta give right?
It doesn't matter that I signed up for notifications of every variety, including crows flying and stones being thrown at my window just..in..case.
No.
I certainly don't check it as much.

Nothing to report yet.

He was amazing.
There are no words for how sorry I am.

Thank you guys.... Is Been 7years i am with my husband and did not want to Come to USA just because of this long process iam not patient at all......and be separate as pregnat or with childrens Is very taf...
Anyway stop to complain !! I hope for all fillers that everything ll be all right, on time and easy...
See you soon ! (iam up and down) Will see how I ll be next week if Nothing change on my case...lol
*hugs Lera*
It's tough, but you're strong. You've already made it seven years and your kids will make you even stronger. Just remember, this is the last thing that stands between you guys. You can do this! Once it's done, you'll be together and no one's going to take him away again!
For sure, there's much else we could do besides waiting lol but don't get me wrong, I am as excited as everyone else. It just that if we're going to JUST wait then it'll be harder on your part.Exodaze, you are so right! My life is beyond busy. Before we filed these papers, I barely glanced at the calendar, but for when visits were getting close. The last year and half blew by.
Then we filed the papers and time stopped. Suddenly, I'm checking into VJ or the USCIS website a hundred times a day and time has come to a complete stop. I think the best thing to do is stop looking at the clock or this will never end.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! That's freaking awesome! *fingers crossed for you*
My husband only left to go home two months ago and I'm already starting to miss him like crazy so I'm packing up and heading to Sweden for a week at the end of the month.
I cannot wait to see him!!
But let's be honest. These trips are so expensive. This was the costliest by far. I'm not sure how much longer we can manage these back-to-back trips before it becomes a burden. I hope that we get approved before it does. Cause I'd rather go without food than without love! That's okay. I can stand to lose a few pounds anyway!

I'm seeing the first August filers at the bottom of Igor's list. I can't tell you how good it feels not to be the second to last person on it. Woot!
-
Anything's possible. It could be a systems error, but if it's for real, I would think someone *had* to review your stuff, or what would they be sending you an RFE for?
That means that as soon as they get whatever they need, they'll resume processing your case. Woo hoo! You could be onto NVC any minute.
-
That's crazy fast. I hope you get the hard copy soon and that it's something easy to fix. Fingers cross you get your second NOA after that.
Wow! Wouldn't that be awesome?
-
Welcome everyone I missed! I wish I could say this month has flown by, but uh...
On the bright side, tomorrow's the first official day of August and there will be a brand new batch of filers. I say we celebrate not being the youngest anymore!
Here's to being one month closer.

You might want to check out this thread. Hope that helps!
-
Woo hoo! That's great news for both of you!

We're doing what we can to get ready for the NVC stage of the process.
We haven't done much though. We're stuck on getting the long form of his birth certificate. He's got the short version and can't figure out how to get the other one or if there *is* another one.
That's kind of why we started now. Just in case things like that came up, that might take longer to get than we anticipated. (lol now I'm glad that we did) I'm getting all my tax papers and building a stash of pay stubs in the meantime as well.

We sent our package with tracking so we knew when it was delivered.
Our NOA1 came in the mail seven days after they received it. On your NOA will be your case number. You can go to the USCIS website and check your case status from there. You can also sign up for email/text alerts.

Yay roxy, that's awesome! Good luck on your journey.

Ours went to Vermont.
I wish I knew if it meant we had errors or not! I'm pretty anxious about ours missing something somewhere. We poured over it again and again, but who knows. There's no telling what silly thing may have slipped through the cracks once you start to go cross-eyed.
-
Ours was cashed 3 days after they received it. Two after our NOA.
-
I know the feeling! LOL! Been checking everyday since receiving noa1 hardcopy.
LOL! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!
-
Hi everyone! We also submitted our I-130 in July. Our PD is 7/9. The case was transferred to VSC and our hardcopy arrived in the mail on 7/14.
I already can't stop checking the USCIS website, even though I know it's going to be awhile until anything changes.
I hope we all get through this quickly and unscathed!
