  1. I didn't have an hour to wait on hold last time I called. (I can't do callbacks since I live overseas--ugh!) I'll talk to Tier 2 on Monday.

We're also waiting for an approval. My husband called couple of weeks ago and spoke to Tier 2 and they will submit a case and my husband was asked to wait for approximately 60 days for the result or callback if in case there's no response from them at all.

I hope Texas SC will do something.

  2. For those still waiting for approval, when you check the status of your case on the USCIS website does it say "Initial Review"? If so, when was the last time that information was updated? Mine says it was last updated on 23 October.

I ask this because from what I can figure my application has not been touched at all since it was submitted, is there a way of knowing if it has been assigned to an officer or is "moving"?

OUrs says "On the 29th of January an Alien no. was assigned."" that's the last time it was updated. I hope we get approve soon.

  3. Is Cebu worse than Manila? 1 AM? I heard 3 AM is OK for Manila. One lady who got there at 2 AM reported that she was #2 on the line.

I went there 1AM and I was already #7. I just went early to make sure I can join the seminar that day and I don't have to go back again.

  4. I know they require 2 government issued valid id's, will the NBI clearance and Passport work? I dont have any other valid ID's aside from that

Yes those were okay. I was in Cebu City CFO couple of weeks ago and I lined up 1AM just to make sure I will be able to get a slot. After 3 tries I got to finally join the seminar. They only cater 12 slots a day for US and Canada.

    Make sure to bring

    - a picture of you together

    - divorce decree or divorce certificate

    - photocopy of your husband/fiance passport

    I was asked the following.

    - How did you meet?

    - How do you communicate? How often?

    - How many time did your husband came over to visit. What are those dates?

    - Why do you love him?

    Good Luck!

Your fiance can attend the seminar in Manila or Cebu. I'm from Cebu City and I went to the CFO office few days ago. If she wanted to attend the said seminar here in Cebu she has to fall in line as early as 4am. They only have 12 slots per day here and it's first come first serve. In my experience, I went to their office as early as 6am unfotunately when I got there I was already no. 80 in the list and I was not able to attend the seminar at all. I have to go back again and make sure to be early.

What's up with the Pre Departure Orientation Seminar? Where is this seminar held? How long does it take and when can you complete it? Can you complete it before your Embassy interview? From what I read its required for 12 or older?

I read a post where you can fly to a different destination other than USA and its not required but we will fly direct from Manila to USA.

    Thanks for any feedback!

    Scott
