  1. I had a similar situation. NVC claims my 2013 tax documents were missing from my AOS package. My attorney claims she included them.

    NVC gave me two choices:

1- Request a supervisor review and wait 30 business days for them to have another look for the missing tax documents.

2- Send another copy of the requested document and wait 30 business days for that to be reviewed.

I went with option 2. This time I sealed and sent the package myself. I'm afraid you're just gonna have to resend the document they asked for and wait for one more complete review cycle.

hmm are the 60 day letters still going out?

    this is a bummer

  2. Wait! I thought NVC told you that they were still waiting to review your DS-260 even though your lawyer filled it out a long time ago? So it turned out that you got a checklist on the birth certificate and that was causing the delay? :huh2:

Yes, I'd talk to your lawyer if I were you. It's possible that your lawyer forgot to include the birth certificate. If not, you can talk to a supervisor and have them review your package. It may be faster than waiting for another 60 calender days. Fingers crossed! :star:

thats what they did say!! so this is ultra frustrating!!!! so they did ask me to have my lawyer call and have him review it with them.

with the rep, we walked through to make sure what I submitted as the birth certificate was the right form, which it was ...

i will definitely push my lawyer

OMG what a nightmare I'm so sorry this happened! I don't understand how they lose things, what IDIOTS! I'll be praying this is fixed (found) soon. (F) (L) (F)

Thanks Soloenta!!! I'm praying too!!! this is so incredibly frustrating!!!

  3. Got off the phone with 2 reps.. separate occasions.

they are saying my husbands original birth certificate was missing even though it was sent in and it was the right document.

she said she will have them review the document again, but it could take another 60 days to review... this is the worst.

im assuming a false checklist wouldn't include something that specific... i will have to have words with my lawyer...

  4. That's freaky! :wow: Do you have a lawyer? If so, did your lawyer fill out the DS-260? :huh2:

I was wondering if your lawyer really submitted the DS-260 about 80 days ago (if your lawyer was the one who filled it out).

If you filled out the DS-260 by yourself and you have a confirmation page (and your http://ceac.state.gov/ shows "COMPLETED"), you'll probably have to wait a little bit. :clock:

I believe it's taking about 3-5 calender weeks for NVC to review the DS-260 form now. :star:

It is freaky.. but more annoying!

My lawyer did fill it out and it has shown as complete on the website since beginning of June...

i guess there isn't much i can do except wait...

  5. So basically they are reviewing docs with july 14 scan dates. Mine was july 17 hoping to hear good news from them by next week. I hope they speed up and let other docs with previous scan dates be finished.

Last scan date of July 2.. still no CC

Any July 9th progress yet? Waiting on CC from AOS Checklist scanned Jul 9th.

July 2nd.. still waiting for a CC :(

  6. They both were scanned in 21st July? I heard they old someone else that they are reviewing there as well but that wasn't the case. And since right now they are on 7 and 8 July u will be extremely lucky if they actually review it so fast.

They always say they are reviewing the documents. IMO its an easy answer to give (and I guess an honest one as well)

I am a July 2nd scan and my case is not complete...

  7. Usually by false checklist, or calling. You won't receive an e-mail from them saying they've been approved.. only for case complete, false checklist, or real checklist. Best advise you to call two-three times a week to see if they have reviewed your file and if it was accepted or not.

    Thanks JSumner86.

I received a checklist on friday saying my IV application wasn't sent it, which online it shows as complete. I called my lawyer and he was saying that there are a lot of false checklists going out and not to worry because the IV (DS 260) has been completed back in June.

Perhaps I should call tomorrow and find out what the status is.
