Hi! How did your mom’s interview go? What were the questions that they asked her? Any update would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It was straight forward. My mother had an issue with INA 212(a)(6)(c)(1) so she was denied and I will try to submit a I-601 waiver and see what that brings us.

I resent an updated tax transcript and W2 though because it has been more than a year since I submitted those documents. I had my mother print those also and have it with her for the interview.

    Hi again,

How did the interview went? I finally just recieved an email for my mom's interview after waiting for so long. Do you have any tips you can give? I'm trying to make this last process as smooth as possible for my mother. I am so excited!

She is scheduled for interview on November 3. We had to reschedule because of the sputum culture delay. I had to reupload latest tax documents and W2 on the NVC site since the one that’s there was 2 years old already. I had my mother print the same documents so she could give it on the interview if they need it. Good luck to us.

Hello! I have two questions, did your parents had an appointment scheduled last year before the pandemic started? Did you call them to have it expedited?? I wanted to try and call nvc for my mom

Yes my mom had an appoint last year that got cancelled, and no I didn’t have to call them.

My father-in-law’s papers are also still with NVC and I was asking my wife to do the same thing you are planning. Let me know how it goes.

So NVC accepted all the documents and sent me an email that they will work with the US embassy in Manila to schedule my mom's interview and it's been 3 weeks now. really hoping to pick her up on Christmas...

My mother's interview was scheduled for April 2020 in US embassy Manila, but got cancelled due to COVID.  Still waiting, I have been checking the self scheduling link but it still shows no appointments available.

  5. May 28- Filed I-130

    May 29- Case Received

    Nov 1 - Case Approved

Finally!  I petitioned for my Mother and she’s so happy we are 1 step closer

I read that the next part is NVC, any documents that I need to prepare?

I saw this flowchart in the website for NVC part,

    https://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf

Anyone know if it is still the same?

    Thanks!

  6. My wife and I got a GC thru a hospital in FL last year. She hasn't been able to work for the hospital since we arrived because she hasn't passed her RN license yet. Me being a nurse also is currently working for the hospital. However we were thinking of relocating to CA. We asked the HR what our options are, they said that we could leave the hospital without any issue with them since there was an intention to work (she took the exam 1 month after we arrived but didn't pass) but HR said we might get denied with USCIS when we apply for citizenship or worse they could revoke our permanent resident visa because my wife never served the petitioner. How true is this?

*Additional info. Back during the filing of the I-140 we weren't married yet and both of us had our individual applications for VISA. The immigration lawyer previously said that since my wife's priority date is earlier than mine that it would be better to be processed as her dependent. Since I have my RN license, upon arrival here in the US I started to work right away with the said hospital. It's been a year since I started.

  7. I have a similar situation. I was issued a green card (EB3) thru a hospital in Florida. My husband (who was my dependent) is currently working in that hospital. However we want to relocate to California. I haven't worked in that hospital since I arrived because I wasn't able to pass my RN license. The hospital HR said that we could leave if we want because there was an intention to work for them but when we apply for citizenship we might get denied or worse have our immigrant visa revoked. How true is this?
