  1. I think people who received case number in May experience the delay in their processing.

From my case, I received my case number on 20th of May

My AOS invoiced on 30th and documents delivered on 2nd of June and scanned on 5th.

The submitted DS 261 from 28th of May still not reviewed.

IV invoice is still not visible :(

NVC operator said every documents or process will take up to 30 business days.

Now I am getting afraid to get a checklist even though I filled out perfectly because the single checklist would occur a horrible delay.

  2. thank you Kim!

    im green card holder.

i will tell you more detail about my case.

here is my email. pleae contact me.

    kk3405@yahoo.com

from my immigration lawyer's response, it is totally back-logged even if RFE for green card holder.

They are concentrating on U.S. citizens' files at this moment.

as you see in AILA report, they are processing the applications from 2012.

I am sorry for your situation.

anyways, tell me more about your case and I will ask to my lawyer for you

  3. why!!!!

my i-130 is still on initial review phase???????

pd is 06/03/2013 and rfe responsed on 12/16/2013 and still noting

i just got back from visiting my wife.. for 2 weeks but it feels like a dream!!!!

    miss my wife so much..

thinking about give up this processing and go back to my country to spend rest of my life!!!

    too hard to be seperated...

    please give me some hope!!!

    please....

are you citizen or permenent resident?

and what was the RFE about?

if you mention some more information about you, I might help you about what is going on with your wife.

  4. On april 14,2014 I received a hard copy of NOA2 for CR-1 I-130.

My wife is still in Korea but the letter said,

"The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United States and will apply for adjectment of status...

    bla bla..

If the persone for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the US based on this petition, the petitioner should file form I824.

    However,

on Apri 16th, I received the case update letter that said

"we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

What is going on with my approved i-130?????

  5. We have a consultation with an immigration attorney on Friday and another infopass next week. We are also allowed to open another service request since the last one is coming up to 30 days with no response...

I started a timeline with everything we've done, day by day... It shows we did so much already, yet, they can't even take a moment to look if there was even a RfE in the first place.

The service request is useless from my experience.

Because they put an expedite request as service request if you ask them to do.

So, next time, tell them you are way out of the processing time and they will write an expedite request with no questions asked.

  6. Congrats! I have been staying away from everything for a while not even checking my status anymore. Seeing January approvals makes me want to kill myself!

Tomm 30 days will be up since our expedite request. Now will try to put SR. Contacted rendell jones, lori, scopsscata, NSC everybody. I have never visited states before so no reason for those background checks even. I don't know what they found in our case for this crappy extended check. Anyways who were u talking about to contact further?

I contacted all as you indicated.

Only Mr. Rendell has responded with my inquiry.

I don't know whether it was just my luck or not that Mr. Rendell ordered the assignment directly to other coordinator.

    He assigned my case to

    Stephanie Guevara

Management and Program Analyst, Liaison and Coordination Branch

Customer Service and Public Engagement Directorate

    DHS-USCIS/Washington, DC

    Off. 202 272-9132

    Stephanie.L.Guevara@uscis.dhs.gov

    Goodluck!

  7. congrats :) my PD is june 28 and transferred TO TSC Dec 31 please give me some pointers so i can pass them on my husband this really beginning to take a toll on us, he did a Sr and they said they are still running background checks :(

Alright, from the last consultation with immigration lawyer, he pointed out the reason for names with flags.

    - my spouse has a history of US student visa denial

    - she had visited here in US before (laywer said, background check process gethers the information from the border security)

-(once you got flag, they will investigate on every POE records on every country you visited before)

SO, Once a person gets into extended review on their background, they will investigate on EVERYTHING!!!!

keep calling USCIS for "out of the processing time range" and email to DHS directors in appropriate format.

Beside Service request, you should request the expedite process too! ususally, Tier1 officer easily creates the both SR and EP

  8. hey samreen23 I am also in same boat as you! Don't give up!!!

Anyways, I received a slightly different answer from USCIS:

this result is from my request through USCIS call on april 9th

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Type of service requested:
    -- Expedite

The status of this service request is:

We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform an additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer. You should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days.

Another mail received a response about the letter to Jones, Rendell.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dear Caleb Kim –

Thank you for your inquiry concerning your pending case. I will send your inquiry to our customer service team for follow up. They will be in touch with you.

    Regards,

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, other person in dhs respond from Jones, Rendell's mail:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Good Afternoon-

My name is Stephanie Guevara and I have been assigned to your inquiry.

I contacted Texas Service Center (where your application is located) and they have assigned your application to an examiner.

If 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the Texas Service Center directly with your inquiry:

    • Texas Service Center: tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

If you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the Service Center, you may contact the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov.

Thank you for all of your patience during this process. I hope the information I provided helps you and feel free to contact me.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    ----------------------------------------------------

I know the calling to USCIS and writing a letter to upper level employees might useless, but I am happy that I am trying on something to get approval!!

can I expect a good news on next week???

  9. sorry to hear that!

but your are not alone in that shitty situation!!

my pd is 06/03/2013, and CSC then transfered to local office (houston),

i went to infopass today driving about 30 min from my office then wait another 30min, finally talked to uscis officer(i guess) then just said that it is pending!! i konw it is damn pending!!!!!

then i asked what is the reason for this long pending then she said it is ready to review and desicion then just said thank you!!!!!!!!! i was not even finished !!!! it took about 3-4min

i just wasted my time and felt like got punched from them.... how rude and look like they dont really care about us..... or they dont konw anything about our case!!!!!

    no hope at all now!!!!!!

I made an appt for the free consultation with immigration lawyer in D.C.

I hope that American Immigrantion Lawyer Association might give me some help regarding this shitty situation.

I will leave a feedback after my meeting time on Friday.

  10. Wow... what an irresponsibility!!!! USCIS tier2 said the background check might take more than a year.

And they said, "if you want, you can file a FOIA" Wow...

I don't want to be sarcastic to a tier2 officer, but she has a fatty voice who doesnt care of the customer.

I am going to get the consultation with immigration lawyer.

Damn. USCIS call center does not help at all.

  11. since I requested an exdepite process on 4/2/14, I received a common answer that indicates "You are pending on background check."

So I called today, and Tier1 officer requested another expedite process request.

He said "you are eligible to request another because you do not received a decision within 60 days"

However, Tier 1 cannot be created due to less than 30days.

Now I am waiting for a call back from tier 2.

    Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!!

MY PD is 6/25/13 and transferred to TSC on 12/30/13....

  12. my wife fell of the staircase in her house and broke the bone on her left hips which was terrible and the Doctor at the hospital has immediately perform a surgery on her which was succuessful. the broken bones was replaces with a metal joint and she has no one to take care of her right there at the hospital her sister lives away too far and a friend who has being helping her wasnt stable with her due to her job.

So I will like to knw if theres a way to have Nebraska service center expedite our CR1 case so that I can go be with her and take care of her because she told me the doctor will have her go home on friday and the road for recovery is 8 to 10 month... So will it be possible to have Nebraska service center expedite our CR1 case, Our case has being with them since Novemeber and it almost 5 month now.

Any suggestions and please help with a phone number to call the USCIS For expedition

If your name has a flag and goes into further background check process,

    they cannot expedite your case.

Because when I request the expedite process, USCIS said your case cannot be expedited until the security check is cleared.

anyways, you can simply call at 1 800 number to request an expedite process

  13. That's exactly what's happening to us. We keep planning our honeymoon or things like that and now we keep pushing them back. We never ever thought it will take this long. Specially when I look at September and October approvals it kills me from the inside. This is extremely unfair to us. And they don't even respond or are honest about anything. We r just at their mercy after paying them this much money.

    Where were u transferred to?

    damn Texas Service Center!!!!

Today, I received the response regarding my expedite process:

On 03/31/2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-130 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
