Hi all, WAC1725 here. I received the extension "notification" letter last week, today I received an approval letter! My case status was not updated, nor did I receive any type of email / text. I'll update my timeline when the actual card arrives!

Hi all, my case status was finally updated last night at 11:30 PM to: Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
On August 31, 2018, we mailed your new card for your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE.

This was my first update on the website since February!

Good luck to those who are waiting. Don't worry, your time will come!

Wow that is fantastic! I am still waiting for my biometrics letter or a letter saying that they don't need it like you received. Silly though, they sent you letter sayiing they can use your previous fingerprints then they sent you a biometric appointment letter??

I sent a letter to reschedule my biometrics appointment, today I received a response stating that I'm actually NOT required to go for biometrics!

Hello all, just an update for those still waiting for their biometrics notice. I received a letter today stating "This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics data. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometrics data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS application support center for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded."

I guess this worked out, would've been great if they sent something earlier! The biometrics data USCIS has on file is over 2.5 years old (at least I look nice in the photo they have!).

    Good luck to all!

Hello, all. I received my biometrics appointment letter last week, I sent in an appointment rescheduling request as I'm travelling for work and unable to even head in for a walk-in appointment. I called USCIS and asked if this is really required as they previously advised me that they'll be using my old biometric information - they said yes.

Hi , how did you get through email ? I did not think that you can get any update or such via email. I did create an account with USCIS but I don't think I can check off anything until I get my Biometric letter, which I am still waiting for. My NOA1/i797 was dated jul 21 and I received Jul 27. CAlled Aug 16 and was told by a Tier2 person that they have  not yet scheduled me.  Thanks .

I have no idea how I received an email for this, I assume they had it on file from my AOS.

Hello, all! I've been reading through the forums and figured I would jump in. My NOA1 was dated June 8th and I still have not received a biometrics notice. I called USCIS today at +1 800-375-5283 pressed 1, then 2, then 2, then 2 <--- This got me talking to an actual person (don't bother looking your case up with the WAC number, it will say it's not valid and you'll keep going in circles). The representative opened a service request and told me I should be receiving the biometrics notice within 15 days, if not, I will need to call back and provide my service request number so they can look into it further. I hope this helps! Good luck to you all!

My husband has not received a biometrics letter either - or we completely missed it! His NOA1 date is 6/5/2017 and we had a baby 6/6/2017 so I was not really paying attention to the mail waiting for the biometrics letter.

I am going to have him call today or tomorrow to inquire about this. I hope we didn't miss the appointment letter in the mail!

    Congratulations on the baby!

They probably just haven't scheduled it yet, in this thread (a few pages back) there are some useful instructions on how to call to set up a service request.

That sucks,  I'm sorry.  Consider making an Infopass appt at the center where you would have your biometrics for immediately after the 15 days, so you least have something ready to go if the letter doesn't show.  You can always cancel it if the letter comes.

Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to schedule an infopass appointment for a while, every single day it says this: Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow. Please note: USCIS offices in the United States only show available appointments for the next 14 days. Check back tomorrow for new appointment times.

Maybe USCIS just doesn't require me to provide biometric information? I was reading the forums, this has happened in the past (trying to stay positive).

Hi, all. I still have not received my biometrics notice. I called USCIS and insisted they connect me with a Tier two agent, I chose the call back option (it took 4 hours to receive a call back, another 15mins of waiting while I was being connected to the agent). The agent said my service request wasn't actioned yet (and submitted under an incorrect category), the agent also mentioned it was "odd" that I haven't received my notice yet, and nothing has been scheduled. The agent submitted a new request and said I would receive a letter regarding the service request in 15 days.

Well.. I wish you have reached a Tier 2 IO - that person could've looked up at your case, using your A-#, and you would've known if your biometric appointment has been already scheduled.. Just to make sure you are not missing this..

Her is the "steps" how I've reached a Ttier 2 (I've done it 3 times and it always worked ;) )

    1. Call this amazing line 1 800-375-5283

    2. Yes, press 1 for English.

    3. DO NOT press 2. You are right, it won't recognize your NOA1 #, so listen to the end. There will be an option, the last one before "repeat "   - for any other questions press star key. This IS your option.

    3. After "long robot speech"  press 4 "to reach services for LPR"

    4. then 1 - again  "to reach services for LPR"

    5. press 3, then 2..

yes' it's a long way :) and again  - first person you'll talk will be a Tier 1. And they will tell you the standard thing about 30 days and your eligibility to put a service request.  Great!  Listen and after that ask if they could look and tell if your biometric was scheduled.. because you don't really want to miss it.. At this point, usually, they offer you to be transferred to a Tier 2 IO ,or at least you can ask for tha at this point - only a Tier 2 IO has an access to your case.

P.S. My son's biometric appointment has never arrived, and when I got a chance to speak with a Tier 2 Immigration Officer (steps above ;) ),  he confirmed that an appointment was scheduled.. He was so helpful and kind , that he faxed the copy of  ACS Notice to me, because there was no way the copy of the Notice would've found us BEFORE actual appointment .. I understand it's not happening every day, but it's worth to try..

    Good luck!!!

Thank you for the very detailed instructions! I called back, the USCIS agent did not want to connect me to a Tier 2 agent, I'll try again tomorrow!

  12. Definitely not true. If you have a social security number you are required to disclose it at the time you obtain the licence, but if you don't have one then you simply inform the clerk of this.

I obtained my marriage license before I had my social security number; it was not an impediment.

In none of the 50 states is it a requirement to have a social security number before you can obtain a marriage license.

I was sent back, and told to return when I have a SSN. It might even depend on the county. In my county, I was unable to apply or the license without my SSN. Maybe the clerk was on a power-high...idk?

  13. Hi all, I went into Bank of America today, and I wasn't able to use the specific form to apply for a credit card for the below reasons:

    1) You have to be a diplomat or a foreign national working for a consulate.

    2) You have to be a non resident of the USA. I explained to the bank that I have my EAD and I'm waiting for my Green Card, but according to the bank I am now a resident of the USA and ineligible.

    3) Another way to be eligible to use the special form is if your employer has some sort of special relationship with the Bank of America, which mine does not.

The bank employee tried to accommodate my request by calling multiple internal helpdesks, but they all told her that because of the above criteria, I was not eligible to use my Canadian credit score to apply for a BOA credit card.

  14. I went to Dr Lyndon Mascarenhas The medical was a breeze, just make sure she has all of her shots / boosters. If she's not sure if she's still immune she can request a titer test from her family doctor for free. She will need to take her vaccination records with her. When she gets there, she'll need to bring he MTL interview letter, photos (they only took one from me) and her passport. They'll ask her to fill in some documents, then they'll send her for blood work / x-rays (same building) after she's done she'll sit down with the doctor, pay him $300 and let him know if she has any serious health issues. It's very easy. After a few days, they will call her to pick up her results -> do not open this envelope.

  15. Hi everyone, just a quick question for any Canadians in here. We received our NOA2 on July 24th, so far we haven't received package 3 from Montreal or any instructions. On the CEAC site our case is ready, and I have the Montreal case number.

We currently have an attorney, who mentioned we're required to send documents over to the consulate... but from what I understand (and read) aren't we only required to send a copy of the DS-160, a copy of my passport and a signed copy of the checklist, stating we have all the documents ready for the interview? http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf

Or do we actually have to follow the instructions over here - which I think the attorney may be referring to: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/packet3-k1-mtl.pdf (this document states we're required to fill in the DS-230, DS156, DS-460 and send those over to the consulate).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
