  1. For the record, I never did receive a text from Aramex although I did get a notification email. I actually didn't need it because I had called up their Changi Aramex HQ to ask if my passport would be arriving the previous day. They are much more knowledgeable than the ones at the call centre. So for those who want their passports back as quickly as possible, be persistent in talking to the right folks and you can get your visa in hand in less than a week from the interview! :)

Hi- would like to ask if u stull have the number of aramex.

Hi veryone- i chose the pick up mode - please advice how do we know if it it ready for collection. Im not sure also if i registered properly. Does anyone have the aramex contact number? How do i ensure i registered correctly .appreciate everyones input.

  2. Hey Zergrush! I just finished with my interview today and am trying to register for Aramex!

Same problem here and I followed kitthekat's advice (thank you, always such a big help).

Just wanted to know if it worked for you Zergrush?

Hii! Congratulations on your approval. Would like to ask how your interview was. Im kinda nervous but excited for my interview next week. I would just like to ask what questions were asked and the documents you provided. Hope to hear from you.

  3. You can return packet 3 now, if you like. It looks like it is taking about a month from returning packet 3 to the interview date at the moment. You will *most probably* be fine.

Sometimes earlier slots do open up and the embassy will try to fill them. If they give you a slot and you don't have the required documents yet, there are two possible scenarios:

    1. You ask for a later date.

    2. You attend the interview without the required documents and get a 221(g) form. You will have to submit the documents via Aramex after your interview. They will hold off on issuing your visa until you have submitted the missing documents.

BTW, remember to make a copy of your receipt from Standard Chartered Bank. You will need the MRV number when you are registering with Aramex after the interview.

Hi Kat, I woulld to ask for your advise, I am now ready to mail my packet 3, do i send the original deposit slip from the standard chartered bank, visa fee payment?

As for my packet 3, The documents I need to provide are only the following, The confirmed ds-160, deposit slip, and the letter stating I am ready to submit. Is there anything else I would need to include in my mail? How did you mail, did you register?

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Depends on when you want to leave. The visa is valid for 6 months from the date of the medical. If you are planning to leave asap once you receive your visa, then next Wednesday is fine. In my case, I knew I only wanted to leave Singapore in May 2014, so I delayed doing my medical till the very end of November 2013.

Hi! how soon did you get the result of your medical exam? Im hoping to leave in July 2014- when would you advise for me to do my medical.

    Thanks :-)

  7. Hey! My ceac status is the same as yours, the 13th of March 2014. Figured I would have gotten the packet 3 by now but it hasn't come yet!

Too bad we need the letter to get the police clearance, else we would've applied already wink.png

I tried emailing singaporecon@state.gov but they replied really briefly that they don't confirm receipt of documents. Quite perplexed by their answer.

Anyway, let's hope we get Packet 3 by the end of this week! smile.png

eys! hi :-) I tried calling the embasys about it too, but they are not able to give me any information, they just said to wait for it. Ive been checking my mailbox everyday since friday-- it will take 15 days for my police clearance..

are you done with your vaccinations? , hoping we will have our packet 3 this week..

  9. 1. You can get your vaccinations done but you can't do your medical exam until you receive packet 3.

    2. Yes, wait for the new passport.

    3. Are you a K1 filer? If so, then no, you need the checklist in packet 3 that has the US embassy letterhead on it.

Please advise the best place to go for my vaccines. Im a permanent resident here, thanks

Hi Kitthekat! thanks for your advise. :-)

  11. hi guys. Im now wiating for my packet 3. I would like to ask help on my below mentioned queeries:

1.I would like to ask what can I do now while waiting for my packet 3. Should I proceed to do my vaccinations?

2.My passort will expire sept 2009, and going to get my new passport by end of march 2014. Should I wait for my new passport before i send the ds-160 form? Where do I find the ds-160 form?

3.My fiance received the email from NVC informing our application has been approved and is on its way here in Singapore. Can I use this email so I can request my police clearance here.

    I really appreciate everyones' help.thanks

  12. Looks like my Visa left NVC, it's currently "in transit"

Though I have a question: It states that "your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." Is this a generic message? I was under the impression the Tokyo Embassy would let me schedule an interview myself, rather than have one provided. I haven't got the required documents yet, still needing the Japanese police certificate.

HI, I would like to ask-- how did you know that the consulate has received your application? I checked online, and its still in -" In Transit "

    Thanks
