  1. Congratulations! We are going to have the same POE! Hopefully by October!!! We are waiting for our case number. Does anybody know if it iis a problem at the POE if my husband doesn't speak English too well?

Congrats! I'm not entirely sure about that because my husband is from England. But I'd imagine if you have all the paperwork it should go fine. They did take him aside and ask him extra questions about me and my family, so just make sure he's prepared!

  2. The hubby arrived in Boston last night, unfortunately the Border Patrol computer systems were down and we waited 2.5 hours for him to make his way through the International Arrivals...

But he his here, and real life shall begin!! We are so thrilled.

Best of luck to everyone still in the process, there is an end to it all and it feels incredible. Love you VJ Family!

  3. Anyone know how I canLondon baddy to request for an earlier interview date?

Sorry was typing on the phone: does anyone have any contact information regarding the London embassy in regards to requesting for an earlier interview date? Like a phone number or an email and if so, how should the content of the message be laid put?

My husband tried to call them forever and could never get through...but I think this is the contact form for rescheduling: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

I hope this helps, best of luck!

  4. This is a normal step. it may only be for a very short time while they do final verifications. Ours was only a day in London then it went to issued.

Keep watching but this looks to be normal.

    Hey,

Congratulations! I was approved on Tuesday and had the same thing. For some reason (impatience probably!) I checked on Wednesday morning and they had updated it to 'issued'. Now just waiting for the courier email....itchy feet!!!! So don't worry at all :-)

My husband's too! Have you gotten your visa package yet from London??

  5. Hey guys, I was approved yesterday in London. It was actually the easiest part of the process so far. I live in Islington so it wasn't far for me to get down to the embassy. I got down there at 8am even though my interview was at 9 with a hefty amount of paperwork as evidence. All they wanted was my interview letter and passport throughout my interview. The first interview was 10 mins after I arrived. The guy asked me simple admin questions like whether I'd lived in the UK my entire life. It was over in a few minutes as all our paperwork was in order. After 40 mins I was called again to an American guy who fingered through our paperwork. He spotted a picture of us at our wedding and asked about the wife's tattoo which I knew plenty about as I was there when she had it done. The second question was why we'd decided to live in America which is due to my wife's job. He flicked a few more pages of our documents and said congratulations. I was done in under 2 hours!!

  6. My parents had their interview this morning in London and were approved :D Finally after 15 months, we are done. I will post a detailed review when I Skype with them this weekend, but they were asked the following:

    Who I was

    Where I lived

    What did I do

When they were planning to go to the US

Where they were going to live when they got there

My Mum was also asked a trick question asking if she had been to Colorado before as there was someone there with her maiden name. Weird question to ask but she answered no and told the immigration person that you can't catch me out, lol!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with questions along the way, especially Saylin and D-Wheels. I couldn't have got through all the paperwork without all your expert advice. To anyone else that is still waiting, keep the faith and you will be reunited with your family soon :)

Beautiful!!! Congrats and go London :)

  7. No. He thinks he may get it tomorrow. The embassy told him Tuesday or Wednesday. We are still a bit afraid to buy the ticket until he actually has the visa. We talked about it again today and I was so tempted to just tell him to buy it!!! It keeps getting more expensive everyday. If he gets it tomorrow I'll post it for sure! Good luck!!! (F)

We are doing the same thing, holding off buying a ticket until he has it in his hands. Seriously I hope it happens fast for all of us, the flights are crazy. Fingers crossed you get it tomorrow! :dancing:

  8. Huge Congratulations. You missed

    WAITING FOR POE :) :)

    hahaha yessss!

Congratulations! My husband was approved in London on May 30th and we're still waiting for his passport. It has been shown as issued since June 2nd and he received an email from the embassy on June 6th saying it would be delivered soon. We're hoping to get it tomorrow or Thursday the latest. He has called the depot every day to see if it's there and they've been very friendly and helpful!

    Fingers crossed for you!

  9. Congratulations from another UK to Boston filer who was approved 3 weeks ago. Best of luck to you both with your new life together :)

    YOU are next!!! :D <3<3

  10. Congrats! Looking fwd to the updat.. Can you ask him details in how long it takes to get visa? We are a little worried about getting ours in time for our flight on 13th, so any reassuring news we can find, I lap up.

They warned it could take 10-15 business days, but we have our fingers crossed it won't be that long. Some others at the London embassy got theirs relatively quickly. I'll keep you posted when we get it!

    Congratulations! :):dancing:

Best of luck, fellow May filer!!!

Congratulations to you both and thank you for the good vibes!! :)

    Sending them your way!!
